Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. I've done it plenty of times without a vise. Just put it onto a solid surface with somewhere for the pin to go and drive the pin out. It shouldn't be too bad to accomplish.
  2. I bought the P-01 since I mainly shoot production with my Shadow's. They come with white dot sights which I replaced with night sights I had from my SP-01 that were just laying around. All I did on the trigger was some smoothing/polishing, 13lb hammer spring, and the extended firing pin. I left the factory hammer in it so my single action would have some weight to it. I also polished the barrel hood and the factory trigger, mostly for looks. So far it has been flawless and is quite accurate. It is one of my favorites for carrying IWB.

I was wondering the same thing. I have a set of VZ's that are already cut down for a TS. I put them on top of the frame on my P-01 and it looks like the angle isn't there for the bottom of the grip; up towards the front near the magwell. I didn't want to risk chopping a $75 pair of grips to find out.

    P-01 Kydex Holster

I just ordered a CZ P-01 and I'm having a hard time finding a Kydex holster for it. I want an OWB with good retention. I like the idea of the Serpa CQC as I already use them for different guns but they don't make one specifically for the P-01. I've looked at the IMI Defense but I'm not sure about the quality. What does everyone here that owns one use? If nothing else I'm thinking about the JM Customs holsters, but they are pretty pricey and the lead time is almost 2 months according to the website.
  6. Probably weak mag springs if they are fairly used.
  7. Are you talking about the small pin that sits verticle, blocking the hammer pin? I believe its the pin referred to as a #9 pin if I'm not mistaken. You might want that there to keep the hammer pin from walking out if it has the verticle hole to accept one.Yes pin #9. I have a channel for the pin.. just no pin.I looked back to photos of when I dros'd the pistol and no sign of the pin. I guess I'll order one! I may have some laying around here at the house, PM me your address and I'll just throw one in an envelope with a stamp, no sense paying the shipping if that's all you need, let me know.

  9. It looks like it attaches to the gun kind of like the way the Dawson ICE magwells attach to the 2011's, using a pin through the frame, is that correct? Also, that magwell isn't so deep that you can't seat the factory TS mags with the factory base pads?
  10. OK, what about the depth of the mag well with the factory pads, does it make them harder to seat?
  11. I am wanting to order this mag well, but I have a question about if the factory base pads work with it. If anyone has any information I would appreciate it.
