  1. I recently purchased a 6" STI in .40, and am trying to figure out what kind of holster to get in order to run it in USPSA Limited. Other than sending the gun in to get a custom holster made, does anyone have recommendations for holsters that work with a long-slide gun? 6" guns don't seem to be an option on most online holster-finder tools, and I don't want to buy something only to find out that it doesn't fit.
  2. I own a 9mm STI Trojan 6" pistol. Until yet i just shoot static competitions. Now i want to try dynamic competitions so i need a holster. I already tried holsters für 1911 Gov Pistols but this one are to small for my gun. Which one do you recommend me? P.S. Sorry for my bad english ;-)
  3. Feel free to use my code "polodna" for 10% off. I love saving people money while upping their game with the badest kydex on the planet.
  4. I guest ordered a CZ shadow 2, What would you recommend for a holster for a new be guest starting out. I have bigger hand too i noticed people taking about changing grip. what are the changing too? thanks for the help
  5. Hello. I have a DAA PDR-PRO holster (left handed, CZ SP-01 Shadow) purchased in 2014. I want to use it on a Safariland belt using the ELS hooks. Is there a mounting kit, hanger, or something out there for this? Thanks,
  6. Need help finding a holster for my wife to use shooting 1911 in Single Stack. I am currently using a Bladetech Black Ice for myself but I believe that has been discontinued.
  7. Looking for race holster recommendations for the 9mm gold team. I have been running a DAA X and have not had stellar results. Though constructed well, I seem to get alot of binding no matter how I have adjusted it. Hoping others can share their experiences and suggestions. I may go a different holster direction if things don't work out. Thanks AP
  8. I know the rules state that you cant use a race type holster in production division. Does anyone know if either one of these holsters count as a race holster? They have 2 different cuts.
  9. Will a Sig full size 320 holster work with a Sig 320 X5?
  10. When I decided to run the P320 for the first time in limited division I reached out to Max Michel for advise on a holster and hanger since at this time the P320 was still new and there was not much on the market. He recommended the DAA PDR Pro which I quickly ordered and have been running for 2 years now. Do I regret this purchase... nope, am I ready to move on YUP. Really it is just the hanger I can no longer stand, after 2 years of use and abuse I have issues with the rig coming loose. So I have been looking around mostly for new hanger options and some holsters as well. I know many shooters love the Boss Style hangers which can also be purchased from companies like RHT and Springer Precision. Would like to hear from those using these if they have any reservations with this style hanger. I have always went in other directions as I like having the ability to adjust the holster higher and lower. Another popular choice is the Race master which I have been told time and time again to consider. Have you ever seen a piece of gear that you know is awesome but is way beyond your current skill level? Well that is why I never pull the trigger, just do not feel like I am at the Race Master holster level yet. I have also never seen anyone run this holster with the P320 but they do offer the insert for it. A friend of mine sent me a link to the Safariland USPSA Hanger It seems to offer all adjustments I look for but with a steep price! Any other popular hangers that I am missing? For holsters I will most likely just cut down the forward facing holster profile to aid in a quicker draw (see below example) I saw this Blade Tech Holster but I cant help but feel like weapon retention is just not there when doing things like picking up brass, digging in my range bag etc. I have seen a few custom kydex holster from companies so I may go that route. If you know of any good "mom and pop" holster fabricators let me know. I would rather give my cash to someone that takes pride in their work and actually talks to the customer rather than ordering from a website.
  11. Hey guys, need some guidance. I have a Blade Tech Black Ice holster on order for my 2011. I want to replace the tension adjustment screws (phillips head I believe) with a finger adjustable screw (tool-less adjustment). I see nylon replacement adjustment screws everywhere, but I figure I can get these at any local hardware store in stainless steel or at least nickel plated. What dimensions do I need for this holster? I know it's 8-32 (according to Shooters Connection) but what length do I get? Don't have the holster yet and want to get something for when it comes in. 12. I just purchased an STI DVC Classic in .40. Due to the 5.4" barrel, I was wondering if anyone had holster suggestions for Single Stack Division.
  13. I just got my new STI dvc open and looking for a race holster. I'm currently looking at double alpha's new alpha-X holster or the JR Ginovation. Any suggestions from you guys? I would be using this for USPSA matches
  14. I just set up my first rig and I purchased the DAA PDR-Pro II which has got 2 little brackets to mount from which broke immediately. Does anyone know if the PDR Holster T-Rail fits the PDR-Pro II.
  15. Practical Pistol Reloaded is a straightforward, no-nonsense instructional book on pistol shooting, specifically – practical pistol competition shooting. Its take-no prisoners style holds nothing back, and eliminates any guess-work related to which techniques work and which ones are outdated.

The best way to shoot is using the Isosceles Stance, fact or myth? What about the press-out technique?

According to Professor Roger H. Lincoln, there are two rules for success in life: 1. Never tell everything you know. 2. Never tell everything all at once. In this book, Ben Stoeger laughs in the face of this great entrepreneur. Top shooters share a common knowledge which they have collected over the years from a plethora of sources. A knowledge that, in its whole, is far from common to the average shooter in that it is scattered.

In this book, top shooters such as Bob Vogel, Dave Sevigny, and Matt Mink collaborate with the author, Ben Stoeger, to compile the so-called “Grand Master secrets” into one location. The knowledge spans from marksmanship fundamentals to shooting on the move, and competition skills such as stage breakdown and managing match pressure. Finally, this book contains many tips, drills, and exercises to help you improve your shooting.

This book answers the “how to” questions about shooting technique. How do you hold the gun? How do you shoot fast? These questions and many more are answered inside. This material is geared for the USPSA, IPSC, or IDPA action shooting competitor.

This is the revision to Ben Stoeger’s book “Practical Pistol”. This new edition is revised to reflect technique changes that have taken place over the last few years. The sport of Practical Shooting is changing quickly and becoming more competitive every day. This updated version of “Practical Pistol” is a must have for any serious USPSA or IDPA shooter.

  16. Anyone here shoot a S&W M627 revolver in Production Division? What holster(s) are recommended? (to be legal in Prod Div)
  17. Hello all, Recently moved up into the Limited Division from Production and i'm looking for the Manny Bragg holster. I know USA does not carry / produce them anymore. If anyone has one or knows of someone who does and is interested in selling it, please let me know. I'm currently using the Super Ghost Ultimate holster and while it is doing the job thus far, I'm not very fond of the front to back rocking the gun can do even when locked. For what it's worth, I've been looking into the new DAA magnetic holster but have heard several pros and cons with it. Thanks.
  18. Hello. After much review reading, I bought a Safariland USPSA holster hanger. It seemed (and turned out to be) as good as advertised with one glaring exception; The strips on the back of the belt hanger are (were!!) aluminum. First attempt to hang the thing on my DAA belt and they crumbled as I was tightening the screws. Anyone know of a source of good, spring stainless steel I can use to replace the Safariland crap? I like the hanger, but the belt retainers were pure junk. Thanks.
  19. *Sorry guys, I mistitled the topic. I'm seeing if my existing DAA Race Master will lock properly with the SV EXTENDED trigger guard, not enhanced. For you guys that may have the EXTENDED trigger guard on their SVI's, which holster do you run for limited? I currently have an old ghost and a daa race master for the 2011. I'm not sure if the geometry of the EXTENDED trigger guard will work. Let me know what you guys are running. I was told to check out a safariland 014 open class holster. thanks!
  20. What's Your Preferred CONCEALED CARRY Belt & Holster Combo, and Why? I'm a-shoppin' - Thanks in advance - Go:
  21. This should be an easy one for you guys. I've been searching on the internet looking for a holster for my Limited Pro. I thought I finally found one, but the vendor says it would be loose since it was actually built for the limited. What are my holster options for the limited pro? Is it close enough, dimensionally, that I can just search for it under another model name? I've found almost every Tanfo model but the limited pro. Thanks in advance.
  22. I called Safariland and Bladetech and both say they don't have a holster for the STI DVC Limited 9 with level II retention. I recently ordered and I'm trying to find something with a thumb drive or some other level II retention. I LOVE the idea of the 579 GLS Pro from Safariland with the Middle finger release, but they don't make it for the DVC. I need Level II because the crazy things they have us doing along with the Battle Rattle's I compete in make it easy for a Level I to fail. Thanks for your help!
  23. I just picked up a used Gen 4 Glock 34 MOS that I'll mostly be using at the informal multi-gun competitions / shoots locally. I plan on running an RMR on it and likely swapping the sights out with suppressor height sights for cowitnessing. Who makes a holster that would work (clear the RMR, sight channel large enough for the suppressor sights, good enough retention for running and gunning, and preferably dropped / offset)?
  24. What has everybody done with their Belts, Holsters, Mag Pouches when flying to a match? I will be going to USPSA Nationals in October via a Frontier flight. What are your suggestions?
  25. Hey guys, I am about to get my first rig set to start shooting in production class in uspsa. I bought a G34, actually it is my first firearm ever. I did a bit research about the holster, belt, mag pouches. Here is the setup I am thinking about. BELT: CR SPEED Super Hi-Torque belt HOLSTER: Blade Tech DOH(the basic one) MAG POUCH: CR Versa * 4 Does it sound like a plan? Any adjustment and suggestions? I heard glock mags don't fit in DAA well, that's why I didn't even mention about DAA. I am also thinking about Ghost360 mag pouches. I heard many good things about it, but I really cannot judge since I do not have experience with these mag pouches. For the holster, is it necessary to go for a comp tac? or should DOH blade tech do the work? I am open to any other suggested items. Just a beginner needs some serious guides and advices. - Eddie.
