  1. Those 115s over 3.0gr of N320 would be nice sub minor load.
  2. Mike, If the mods made are ESP legal, then you are OK to shoot in ESP. depending on the mods, you may still be able to shoot SSP if you're able to revent back to stock form. Magwells, would be a prime example of this. While illegal in SSP, they are perfectly legal in ESP. If you removed the magwell, you would again be legal for both SSP and ESP.
  3. This is a bit off topic.. When reading the USPSA subforum, the negativity seems to be from their own active members. I can respect that. When reading the IDPA subforum, much of the negativity comes from former IDPA members and USPSA members. I find this a bit odd. Why is it that people admit to having left IDPA still feel the need to come back and vent about how much they disliked the sport? Maybe I overlooked all the posts from IDPA members on the USPSA subforum recruiting disgruntled members. But that seems to be the norm here on the IDPA subforum.

    .40 Major in CDP

Not to derail the thread... But how does the 180gr do at 30yrds at that low of a PF? I ask because my 147gr 9mm is already 5-6 inches low at that distance.
  5. ESP EX - Match Bump at Lone Star Championship.
  6. If you were in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area, I'd trade you some n320.
  7. Sorry to see that your proposal was shot down. As for IDPA carrying the torch, that remains to be seen. I don't know about the rest of the country, but there doesn't seem to be any talk of MRDs on guns. That could also be because most would rather practice with there usual gear in preparation for their next major match. Maybe if it becomes a full fledged division and recognized beyond local T1 matches it will gain traction.
  8. I run 3.0gr OAL 1.145 out of a 5" 2011. I get about 131pf. 2.8gr makes minor, but too much risk for cold weather chrony.
  9. There are plenty of us running 147gr over Clays. 124gr is another story.
  10. Unless you tap the holes to place jets to be able to adjust the airflow. Then depending on the ammo used, you'd be able to tune your comp as well as the gas block.
  11. are we recommending an ISMI 9# or Wolff 9#? Personally, I use Wolff, but was looking to experiment with ISMI. I know there's a world of difference between the two when it comes to mainspring. Just comparing the two for recoil spring, the ISMI is several coils shorter.
  12. +1 Karboneye from Rudy Project I picked up a pair earlier this year. Plenty of coverage and no frame to interfere with your field of view. Unfortunately it appears to have been DC'd.
  13. I'll 3rd Primary Arms. I have 2 generations of their MRDs. The thumb screw mounts are good, didn't care for the quick release style. YMMV.
  14. Looks like an older batch of N320, they have since changed the label. At $115 for 4# and no hazmat, you did good. Powder valley I think was $90 for 4# last batch I bought.
  15. What's wrong with shooting your open gun in IDPA? As long as it's a tier 1 match, just shoot under the NFC division. Just make sure its not an indoor match. That would hurt.
  16. Maybe start with 2 holes and then move on to 3? Maybe even play with the configuration of the holes to see what works.
  17. Yup. I have an SLR series 7 clamp under my AP. Word of caution, get an extended Allen. I have a 15" handguard over a 16" barrel. My 6" Allen can BARELY reach far enough to make adjustments.
  18. Would this rule be born for safety purposes? How many have been DQ'd or nearly DQ'd for reloading on the move while moving toward our weak hand side and breaking the 180 rule?
  19. Take a look at the rulebook and you'll find your answer under section 3.9.
  20. Looks good. 147gr FN and 2.8gr of Clays at 1.145 OAL was getting me 131pf out of a 5" 2011.
  21. Other than you just violated federal law? And how is Zev liable for a package lost on the way to them? That's on UPS. If you want to get the work done, then buck up and pay the fee required to send it overnight. Or find an FFL to help you out.
  22. I have enough n320 and ClayDot to last 2-3yrs at my current consumption. Hoping that by then, Clays will be hitting our shores again. At which point I will build up a reserve of about 16-24lbs.
