  1. Way to revive a 4 year old thread.
  2. I had the same exact thing happen to a shooter last month. Before we scored I gave him the option of a reshoot. Not knowing his time or score, he opted for the reshoot. Bad choice on his part.
  3. I don't know if making every other shooter pay for an ROs oversight is the way to go. But I agree with having to personally call it a day.
  4. Can we add "intent" to the file with "real life"? So each time someone uses either a kitten dies.
  5. Would these failed grips be used on major or minor PF guns?
  6. PE. As ridiculous as it may seem, you still have to slice the pie. But I would say that those ports were definitely on the small side.
  7. If you want widebody .22 mags but don't feel like paying more for mags than the kit, try Nelson Custom Guns. http://www.nelsoncustomguns.com/store/index.php?l=product_detail&p=18 Don't forget to order a widebody mag loading tool.
  8. Sounds like the new place allowed Brandon to get more equipment running. Build times seemed to have come down some since the move.
  9. Nelson custom guns may still have a sale on theirs. It's the same as brownells offers. Just a different base pad.
  10. The only thing I've used my pockets for is storing pastors. On occasion I'll perform a parlor trick and use my strong side vest pocket for a RWR, but it's nothing I'd risk doing in a major match.
  11. Hmmm. I wonder how this will change the performance of the powder (Clays) many have come to know and love.
  12. I'm not arguing for or against the FTDR. I'm just saying that if you f' up a stage but still result in a better time than you normally would, I wouldn't refer to it as a bad stage.
  13. A bad day would imply that stages were fudged and resulted in poor times. This wasn't that.
  14. If I had the spare change I'd buy one. I dig the roll marks.
  15. From your post, it would appear the seasoned shooter chose to shoot out of order intentionally as an advantage. Did anyone ask him why he shot in the order that he did? Did he realize before hand what the proper order was? Did he time actually reflect any advantage?
  16. It's too bad that this wasn't more heavily promoted when it was on the big screen. Wife and I watched this last night and really enjoyed it. Great supporting cast. Simple plot but well choreographed action scenes. I enjoyed the smooth transitions during the up close gun handling. Can't believe the initial hit squad went in with pistols instead of rifles and/or shotguns. I was happy to see what the steep penalty for breaking the rules of the Continental was. Ms. Perkins was a sleezeball.
  17. SVI would be like having Chip Foose build you a custom hot rod from scratch. With the exception of maybe the barrels? SVI makes everything in house from bar stock billet.
  18. At $500+, why not just get an SV? With what's included with an SV, is it not a better value?
  19. No gamers gun here either (yet!). Just my 3.9" STI Guardian. I forgot how much I dislike 3 dot sights.
  20. Then you'll be forced to shoot in the NFC division. You can still have fun, but just at a local lvl.
  21. Looks sweet Trace. Looking to do the same thing next year. Going to start by SBR'ing my AR .22 pistol then adding a can. For the cost, those Samson HG are nice and have a great I.D. for cans.
  22. There's 2 sides to that coin. A match bump is just you beating who showed up. I've known some MM ESP shooters that received a match bump at a major match only to get stomped on each week by their fellow SS ESP each week at local matches. If you beat every MM shooter only to finish bottom of the heap in SS, then it's a hollow victory. Now if you get a bump to SS and you're beating some EX on a good day, then you know your classification is well deserved.
  23. My 9mm Gans Gun was built using a SWDC. It was a choice made more for asthetics than anything else.
