My other is a Briley El Presidente in 38 Super Comp. I bought it used the comp is an EGW. The guns is one of the lightest full size open gun I have handled.

It runs 100%. I wish I ran that well.

OTHER: Gary Natale (GANS). No doubt the choices listed will get you a fine blaster, but I'll stick with GANS. Doing an OPEN for me as we speak and I get emails and updates nightly, with pictures. Getting the detailed updates just plain takes the headache out of the process.

My current open gun was built by Rusty Kidd. Around 40K rounds on it and actually ZERO problems.

Had a Briley before that (owned by CocoBolo now), and a Caspian before that.

You didn't list Benny Hill, but he's certainly got a great reputation. Lee Neil shoots a Gans gun so thats another one you can try out locally.

Shopping is half the fun isn't it?

JPL Precision.

Was considering Brazos (doesn't do Major 9) and LimCat.

If you can get your hands on guns from a variety of smiths. They all have their 'style' which translates into some subtle but SIGNIFICANT variations.

Last year I got to handle/shoot JPL, LimCat, Brazos, Major9, and a variety of other guns. The JPL just felt right with LimCat coming in a VERY close second. In the end I went JPL.

(Typing this while desperately hoping that my gun is done and ready to come home to play!)
