Sorry for your loss. I fully understand and appreciate your feeling as we lost our 16 year old Schnauzer a couple of months ago. Art

Welcome. Corpus, San Antonio, and Austin have USPSA matches. San Antonio has a match just about every weekend. Come out and join us. You'll like it. Art

Just read this on the internet. http://sports.myway.com/news/05252010/v3335.html Might be interesting. I am a race fan but not too much of an F1 fan. You never know what Austin is up to. Kind of makes one wonder. I hope the rest of us Texans don't have to pick up the bill. Art

I've been loading my 16.40 out to 1.2 and haven't had a problem. My only gripe is that I can only use para mag springs. Nothing else seems to work. I've got about 6,000 rounds through it and have fewer problems than some of my friends that are using S_I's.

I use True Blue in my 9mm open gun so when I needed some minor loads for my Tanfo Match and XD9 I just used the TB. I followed the Ramshot load data for 9mm and they worked well. I was using Montana Gold 124 CMJ's. It was clean and accurate in both guns. Unfortunately I did not have an opportunity to chrono them. When the weather warms back up hopefully I will have an chance to set up the chrono. All I can say is try it you may like it. Art

I've had to replace the ball and spring on one of my Para pads. I didn't realize that there was a spring under the ball. It must have popped out when the slide came off and I didn't see it. I ordered replacements from Dawson. They come several to a bag. I cleaned the hole real good and installed the spring and ball. All it takes is a little pressure on the top of the ball and pushed the slide part back on. It took about 2 minutes to complete. Art

I'd sure like to see him succeed.

Brownell's is out of stock. Just had my extractor go south on me yesterday. Had to leave the match. Although this 16-40 has been very reliable I think it is time to replace it with something else. I'm currently thinking of replacing it with a Tanfo Limited. what do you think? Art

I had Alex work over a Springfield GI. He refit the barrel, put in a new barrel bushing, added adjustable sights and a long trigger. He set it up with a real smooth 4 lb trigger. It's a sweet shooting .45. He also worked over a Springer Micro Compact so that it actually works every time. He has worked on a couple of other guns for me as well. Personally I like his work. Art.

I have a Match 9mm that I have had for several years. It came with the spacer in the front of the mag. When I started to reload for it I made the OAL extremely long and used the barrel as a gauge. I kept shortening the OAL until the round would chamber properly and the nose of the bullet did not contact the throat of the barrel. I then checked it in the mag to make sure that it would fit and work properly. I have been able to load all of my mags to the max and they all work without problem. I have also shot factory ammo without problems but not enough to determine if there would be a feed problem. HTH Art

When I ordered springs from Wolff I got the Long Slide for my Match. They worked just fine. Art

I had a similar problem with my Tanfoglio Match 9mm. I got an EGW undersize die and solved the problem.

This is how I check the powder on a 550. I use an inspection mirror on the back leg and check the powder before I insert the bullet. Art

CED Durability - how does it hold up to hard knocks?
satx40 replied to jaredr's topic in Gear & Accessories
I had an opportunity to pull mine apart. There was no reset button but inside there was the connector that goes from the battery to the circuit board. I unpplugged the battery and plugged it back in which caused a reboot just like SteveJ suggested. It came up running. TA DA! Art -

I've had mine for about 2 years. It quit working completely. I have no idea where the sales receipt is so I guess I may not be able to get warranty service if it is available. Time to find another timer. Art -
Still here but gonna have to shoot my Limited at Marisa's match tomorrow. Art
