Shooter Grrl Posted August 26, 2005 Share Posted August 26, 2005 Mary Ellen Dietsch, 62, of Harmony Township, formerly of Lincoln City, Or., passed away August 25, 2005, at home, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born November 16, 1943 in Long Beach Ca., she was the daughter of the late Ivey Fred Sasser and Nannie Mae Edmundson Sasser. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda. Mary was an avid lifetime bowler, a member of the WIBC and currently bowled in leagues and tournaments at Baden Bowl. She also enjoyed world travel and weekend outings with her grandchildren. Before moving to Pennsylvania in 2000 she owned and operated a home construction and remodeling business in Oregon for 20 years. She was known, affectionately, to her family and friends as, “The Fiery Red Head”. Surviving, in addition to her husband Steve, are five daughters and two sons: Deborah (Dennis) Hughes, Yacolt, Wa., Patricia Christiansen, Denton, Tx., Jennifer (Cris) Criswell, Aloha, Or., Angela Sage, Fall City, Or., Kathrene (David) Littman, Florence, Ky., Christopher (Cara) Dietsch, Livermore, Ca. and David (Leslie) Owen, Portland, Or., 11 grandchildren and 3 great grand children and her faithful companions Annie & Lillie.
