TonytheTiger
Whats different about it?Looks like grips, hammer, undercuts everywhere, maybe slightly different slide serrations, checkering, mag release and probably a bunch of other subtle things I didn't notice while looking at the pic for 10 seconds. kneelingatlas
Looks like the frame has been narrowed at the grip, and includes Tanfoglio style grip checkering, features a 1911 style mag release button, Novak style rear sight, squared trigger guard, straighter trigger, and thin safeties. Looks like it's been redesigned to better accommodate shooters with smaller hands.
eerw
My guess is frame width is same, but wider up top for some reason. Nice undercuts to beavertail and triggerguard, but to allow for checkering, looks like front to back might be longer. New grips, do hopefully CZ will have options. Serrations on slide look P09 like. Hammer looks different. Mag is MecGar 19 rnd, so that will have to change, doesnt fit USPSA box. Wonder when we will see one for real? That's good. It means the same mags should work as the old shadow since the 19 round mecgar is just a 17 with a plus 2 basepad.
R.Elliott
Looks a little longer/heavier in the nose too. Can't wait to get my hooks on one.
insertgenericid
Tanfo qualities..... CZ trying to pick up some tanfo customers I agree. It looks like a Stock III had its way with a Shadow. And all the genes were dominant. I read somewhere that the plan was to transition to Omega triggers. I wonder what the action will be.
JHicks8h
Can't wait to see these stateside. So far I like what I am seeing and can't wait to read some more about these. Like Rowdy I will be going for 2 of these.
bigdave24
Looks like extended safety to me in the photos. Which would be unusual for a production gun.

bigdave24
No, safety. The angled photo that robb315 posted looks like an extended safety.

BMaus
The Tanfog look does not appeal. I know a few people wanted a bigger frame, looks bigger but hard to tell. Larger would be a negative for me. Hopefully the original Shadow continues to be made alongside it. The Oranges are true classics. Just have to wait and see what it is like I guess. tomfturner
The checkering looks nice, so I'm a fan of that. Existing shadows usually have grip tape to account for the lack of checkering.
BeerBaron
Like the trigger guard. Drilled and tapped mag release is pretty out there for a prod gun. Wish they'd fix some old design issues like how the grip panels are retained by just 1 screw. Love the proper checkering and new serrations too. The goofy mismatched front and rear serrations never did excite me. Hard to tell but it looks like it may be a tad longer too. Ie aus spec barrels may now be the norm. Nice to have a few mm extra barrel and extra sight radius. It's not a big difference but every bit helps.
