  1. So ... What holster are you running with this? Recently picked one up, and have "claimed" my sight plate waiting on it to come in. I was just curious what the other owners of the 92x RDO were running for holsters?
  2. My nephew had it ... mid-20s ... mild flu-like symptoms. He was more frustrated by quarantine than the illness. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Mag tuning will fix this problem. I had the same thing on my Czechmate, and sent the mags to Grams ... poof ... problem solved. As I understand it, on the CZ is the fact that the magazines tolerances are the same for 40 and 9mm TS bodies, which allows some slop when you run the big sticks with reduced springs. Just a little magazine tuning fixes the problem area, and the problem goes away.
  4. There's an entire thread CZ tuning with professor Atlas. A quick search should yield the results you're looking for, and it has a lot of good information.
  5. The other addition would be to put the larger safety from czc on there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Springs -mag springs - trigger return spring - firing pin spring - extractor spring - hammer spring - recoil spring and parts Extra fiber for your sights. Lock-tite ... you never know when you’ll need that. If you carry a full spring replacement kit, you’ll have a lot of peace of mind, even if you don’t need them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. How does the CED stand up to the water? Just lost my first PP2 to water damage.
  8. Yeah I’ve got the new part in to replace, and I’m going to get some better pictures of it. Dillon did take care of it, so that’s a good thing. If it’s on a 1050 the warranty is only 1 year though, so that’s what was going on there. Assume that it’s part of the press. When I get everything replaced I’ll get better pictures. Sent from my etch-a-scetch.
  9. I can't speak to what they should and/or shouldn't do, because all I can tell is what they DID do. Which was charged me 35$ for a part. Maybe the Dillon rep that watches the forum will get on and be able to straighten out WHY. That being said, I agree that this shouldn't be the case because this same powder measure is the part I pulled off my old 650. When I sold it, I gave the guy I sold it to my new 1050 measure (because I didn't want to have to re-setup my powder throw). I've bought 3 complete 1050 conversions with powder measures, but I started this thread to see if 1.) anybody else has had a measure break like this, and 2.) see how it was handled.
  10. Based on my current 35$ charge I’d bet you’re wrong, but that really doesn’t answer my question of has this happened to anyone else? Sent from my etch-a-scetch.
  11. While I agree I don't think it is with the 1050 maybe someone from Dillon will get on an set me straight either way ... it's the first time between my reloader (previous 650 and 1050) I've seen this. I figure it's a metallurgy issue.
  12. I was just wondering if anyone else had ever broken a powder measure body. I had my first powder measure break yesterday along the bottom ring below the clamp. As it's on my 1050 I'll be charged for a new measure (which I expect), but I was wondering if anyone else had broken a measure in a similar manner?

    P320 X5 Basepads

Maybe I'm missing them, but I don't see a TTI option for p320 base pads. ????
  14. As has been mentioned here already the M&P 15-22 is a good rifle option and any of the big 3 rimfire pistols (Browning Buckmark, S&W Victory, Ruger 22/45 or Mark IV) would be good options. There are no requirements for holster in steel challenge, you could also look into the NSSF Rimfire matches as well. Depending on his strength and size I'd recommend a 22/45 Lite til you know what he really wants to do that would be a good choice. The advantage of the M&P 15-22 is that it allows him to grow with it. Hope any of this helps.
  15. look up CZ mag tuning ... I think you'll find that people have the same issue with both CZC and SP mag extensions/springs/followers. I sent mine to Grams engineering, but you can do the tuning yourself. Like I said a brief search for mag tuning should find you everything you need to know, and the reasons as to why this happens. Some magazines don't have the problem, others do.
  16. Maybe an odd question now, but what did you use to bend the magazine? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  17. The nosedive jam issue is not uncommon to those mags a search here will show that. I think this is a QC issue with the 9mm mags. You'll notice with about 17-19 rounds the second round in the mag is not "supporting" the round above it. As a result there's a gap, that's due to some space at the top of the magazine (they are a tad to wide at the taper), after this issue is resolved the magazines will be REALLY tight, but they will be 100% reliable. I sent mine to Gram's Engineering to fix them. 5 20 rounders (3 with +4 and one with a +9 Springer pads), 1 factory big stick with the CZC base pad ... after I got them back all run fine ... I did end up needing to polish the feed ramp for my Precision Deltas to run as well as I wanted (didn't test on the range 'til after I polished) in my testing. Bevin knows his stuff, and can walk you through analyzing your problem, and for the price of sending them to him and back ... it was worth it. He had them done in the first day they got there, so approx. a week without mags (2 days there and 2 days back).
  18. Don't know about with a Thunder, but I'm running a 1.125-1.13 length with 7.9-8.1gr getting around 169pf out of my Czechmate. I'll probably run it a little longer eventually, but for right now that's what's running.
  19. Plus one on the ghost pouches. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  20. Because CZ has a really tight chamber. It will not feed ammo that is loaded to "within spec", so having the chamber reemed will help resolve any issues associated with that. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  21. I think the answer to your question is "no", but there is a caveat, if they can make it cheaper than we can everyone would be open to that kind of thing. I don't think many people would be in for a "regular" order of 9-major though in th 1-5k range that is currently shooting it. Most everyone that's decided to go that route knew what they were getting into when they started.
  22. Ditto on my Czechmate I have used a lot of blue bullets. I used 6.7 gr of AutoComp, but the current load mine is liking is HS6 7.9 to 8.1 grain at 1.15".
  23. You guys forgot to mention the other option in the CZ line Open - Czechmate
  24. If you look at the numbers a lot of people are switching now to 9 major, and as was stated on page one of this thread it's not because it's better, it's mainly costs. If you can load the same brass for 9major and minor (which I do) why not do it, so why not have a gun that can shoot 9mm (no new cost). 38 Super(comp) makes more gas and gives you more options on comp design, powder choices, etc. that being said, you will be scrounging for your brass or marking it so everyone knows it's yours. I personally didn't want to have to get into loading another caliber, so I went 9 major. I've played with powders and modified my comp, but I think I made the right choice especially "just getting into open". The one thing that hasn't been mentioned it shooting 9-minor out of your open gun to run steel/3-gun/wife(girlfriend)-gun/whatever, that is a lot easier switch with a 9mm gun. The other part of the equation is that there are a few more powders that are really good for 9-major now than what there used to be.
