  1. If it's an STI frame, why not just get it replaced under warranty?
  2. My barrel is as it came from CZC. I don't think they ream the barrels either. Ive tried a handful of different weight and profile bullets and they all had to be loaded fairly short imo.
  3. I could load to 1.110" in my shadow with the Bayou 135gr round nose.
  4. Major? As in level 2? Nevermind, just noticed you were in Australia.
  5. After first shot is fired, it is what it is. There was just a thread recently on this and what was listed on stats stood. Here's thread, http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=211863&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1
  6. I tried several mags, as I have a variety. The CZ 18 round mags with springer base pads worked fine. The Mecgar 19 round failed (but worked fine in my friends shadow). Stock CZ 18 round magazine with base pad I got with the gun failed. Very odd the 18's failed, the 19's are known to not usually pass. What rear sight are you running? Could've tried squishing it down if you are running an adjustable.
  7. Which magazines are you using? CZ 18 round, MecGar 17 Round, MecGar 19 round, etc.
  8. Why the heck would the gun just be loose in his range bag anyhow and not in a gun rug?
  9. What's his theory behind this? With shooting production I would guess 124g has more recoil then a 147g. Practice w harsh recoil then when you shoot a match you have a soft shooting gun? That's all I can think of.That's the only thing I could think of too...kinda like practice stuff that's harder than competition, then comps will seem easy. It goes against the grain of what almost everyone else says though.Price is pretty negligible between 124s and 147s...I can't imagine it would make much difference to him. Every time he's mentioned it, he says it's because they are cheaper. He does mention they are softer but it doesn't make a difference to him. June 11 2013 and Jan 4 2014 PPS are just 2 examples.
  10. What's his theory behind this? Cost savings
  11. Here's a couple videos of the technique I use that works well for me.
  12. And also New York! We follow pretty close to the same rules as you guys to our north. Open 10 makes you pretty good at reloading. Also makes you pretty mad when you drop your big stick after 8 shots at a match in a free state. Lol
  13. N320 4#ers in stock at powder valley at the moment.
  14. Are you running a shock buff? I had this exact same type of malfunction. The buff was pushing the head of the guide rod into the slide. You could see the marks on the two little ears where it was grinding against the slide.

    DAWSON FRONT SIGHTS

I have same gun and went with the .195. Had to raise the rear sight about 3/4 of a turn so you will probably be good with the .190 I shoot poi to hit right on top of front blade.
  16. In reference to the paint in magwell, Illegal http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-NROI-ruling-details.php?indx=47
  17. This place is one of the only places I've found 1/3 batteries locally. Check their store locator, there may be one local to you. The guy working the counter said people buy them for electronic dog collars, so pet stores may carry them also but have never looked. http://www.batteriesplus.com
  18. Fitted match barrel. Fixed sights instead of adjustable ones. Not approved for USPSA Production. Can't say whether or not that's worth it for the extra money for you. How ya figure it's not legal?its not illegal to change the barrel. The Aus barrel is approved.
  19. That's Bedell's new comp design.
  20. The model is the X5 All Around that is the production legal DA/SA gun.
  21. As long as you factor in to make power factor with a 124 you'll be fine. Just chrono'd at Ohio State and the bullet they pulled weighed 124.5They used 124 to calculate my power factor.
