  1. No, actually I wouldn't. Once or twice per match (sometimes far more) the timer (even with the sensitivity turned up) doesn't pick-up the shots or at least some shots. Happens most often with longer barreled rimfire rifles using Competition Electronics Pocket Pro timers. This is far less common with CED 7000 timers and in fact it's common for someone within the squad to pull out such a timer to use in place of the CEPP. Well why didn't you say it was rimfire. Those can be very problematic registering on a timer. Even if you are standing right next to the shooter. I guess I need to ask, what kind of matches are you shooting using rimfires?
  2. You'd be amazed how far a timer will pick up shots. There are times a shooter needs to go down a corridor or branch of the shooting area, shoot some stuff, and come back out. If you're following them in there, you better make sure you are able to get your butt back uprange so they don't run into you or even outrun you. http://youtu.be/DLKHAX1JZrY?list=UULwj2bUm7BLsxE8OCkGwnTQ
  3. Faster splits, start exiting first box as you are finishing shooting, and be ready to start shooting the moment you enter second box. As far as the second video, watch some footage of Lesgar Murdock. He really plants and takes off very aggresively from hard leans.
  4. This is the same load I use except with a Bayou Bullet. Shoots a tiny little group at 20 yards off a rest from my SP-01 Shadow.
  5. Bayou 200 grain over 4.2 gr WST @ 1.190" 172 power factor
  6. What exactly does "control the shooter" mean?

    Trigger Pin Stuck

    Yes Appendix D4 21.6
  8. It's easier to just drill and pin the MSH to hold the grip safety down.
  9. Sounds like you are adjusting your sights to a flaw in your technique. There should be no change in impact going from rested to freestyle. What happens when you go strong/weak hand only?
  10. +1WST is my go to powder for .40 Limited Major loads. I like the feel better than N320. I do use N320 for my 9mm production load though.
  11. This is the point that gets wedged during the draw and the area that needs to be beveled. The block doesn't even need to be removed from holster body to be modified. There is no change in the fit of a polymer grip as far as a loose fit either.
  12. I have an older RM also. Same binding with both the regular and magnetic inserts for me. The tooth was binding on the draw for me and not releasing. Unless the draw was perfectly parallel to the holster. I found the pics of my mods on my phone. I'll post them later this afternoon.
  13. I have a PT aluminum grip and a race master and also ran into this issue. Mine required far less fitting to release freely and still also works with my plastic grips. Same thing with another guy I shoot with that has the stainless grip. I'll see if I can round up the pictures of the key are to put a small bevel on for smooth release. I have since switched to the magnetic insert but that also needed slight fitting and also still works with my plastic grip.
  14. He shot on my squad at the 2013 Ohio State match. Was still a very impressive shooter.
  15. The 170 side of the gauge is the limit for open.
  16. Those are two different grip safeties. One looks like an Ed Brown (the one with the lines on the pad) and the other one is a factory STI.
  17. Trigger over travel screw mainly plus it's a pretty tight fit.
  18. Only took a few file strokes on the tooth in the holster for me. Very easy fitting. Didn't even need to remove the block from the frame.
  19. Dropping a mag would be interesting also.
  20. Just needs a tiny bit of massaging to the tooth in the holster. Works great together after.
  21. At the Rochester Brooks match's they'll usually have a shotgun or rifle side match. Ontario Rod & Gun might also have something along that lines also.
  22. I have one on my LNL. Started out with 9mm then added a .40 and now I run 38 Supercomp. Works very well for me for all the calibers mentioned. Even the .40.
  23. Allchin makes one specifically for Buckmarks.
