  1. it has to be on another available production legal gun, doesn't it? If I'm wrong, be gentle, I don't shoot much production.
  2. I have a brand new PSA Glock billet lower, and a PSA Hybrid bolt in an Anderson lightweight upper. My Glock 9mm mags will not drop free, 40 mags will. I took the upper off, and all mags will drop free from the lower alone. It appears the feed lips on the 9mm mags are sticking on the bottom of the bolt on the surface that cocks the hammer, but since the 40 mag feed lips are wider, they don't stick. Should I work on the bolt, or open the feed lips a little? I have a Spinta blem bolt coming, & hope it fixes the issue so I don't have to do either. Anyone else have this issue?
  3. A fully loaded Eagle-style 2011 would be HEAVY. I wouldn't do it for that reason alone. Trust me, after being on the job for 26 years now & a little less than 3 to go, your back will thank you.
  4. John was the old Dad. Troy is the new Dad, & he says no!
  5. I seriously think you all got trolled.
  6. If you can try some single base powders like Solo 1000 or Prima V, you should see a cleaner gun & brass.
  7. Has anyone actually ever mounted a C-more Slide ride on a slide? The full size C-more is arguably the hardiest red dot, but will it actually work on a slide?
  8. They do change from time to time. I can remember old Winchester metal bottles & Hercules cardboard bottles with the pull-up cap that was recessed when closed. I think 12" will be safe though.
  9. Or optics that have the FFIII mount pattern, such as the Vortex Venom, Viper, or Razor.
  10. Not sure if this Shield model has same mount pattern, but Shield still makes the old SMS, aka. JPoint, Optima. I've been in contact with them about sending my SMS to them for repair.
  11. LimPro & Stock III are 4.75" straight barrel. Stock II is 4.5" bull barrel. The Australian Stock II & Limited Custom is 4.75" bull barrel.
  12. I built my PCC with an Anderson lightweight upper. It has a shell deflector, no provision for mounting a port door, therefore no way to mount a gas deflector. So far I have not gotten any brass or powder in the face. I'm loading 124gr. FMJs with Power Pistol to 130PF.
  13. I thought I read that all the classifiers were being amended for the PCC start position so everyone was doing it the same. I guess that hasn't happened yet.
  14. The best way would be to drill 2 shallow indents in the top of the slide dovetail for the set screws to sit in, then locktite them.
  15. We call it Single Stack, but Gary told me he wanted it called 1911 Single Stack. I don't foresee that the division will ever be anything other than that.
  16. On that list, I've had the V3, DMS, & Tac30. The V3 is the best quality scope, but might not be suitable for the matches you shoot (distance, no illumination, etc.). The DMS just felt cheap, glass was mediocre, QC is hit/miss. The Tac30 had a huge reticle that I did not care for, but others do. The bdc feature did work. I hated the push button control for the illumination. The MTAC appears a better option. I'd suggest the Strike Eagle because of the price you're getting. You'll sell it eventually, & move up to a better scope, resale will be better on it. It's still in demand, & will sell quickly here.
  17. Most rules say you can't handle 2 guns at once, so I wouldn't see that being allowed.
  18. What else is on it to make it so heavy? Mine was only 43oz.
  19. That Tasco is cool! I'd love to have one. I've got an old Sightron 33mm tube sight in the safe from back then.
  20. I must be the luckiest SOB in the world at STI mags. Since 1995, at least 3 dozen STI/SV mags have gone thru my hands in 6 different guns. I've never had to tweek anything. Slapped components on them & went to the range. Anyone that has shot with me knows my guns run. Sure, newer & better components come along, like when Grams kits came out. I switched to them & the added capacity. I'm glad I never did all the obsessing over mags that seems so popular. My suggestion, get the new style STI tubes, Grams spring kits & Dawson base pads. Done.
  21. Unless it's a safety issue like a squib or something similar, I never stop myself. The guy with the timer has the obligation to yell It when it's appropriate.
  22. Going Monday, re-watched John Wick yesterday.
  23. My Cabelas had WIn. & CCI SPP yesterday $27-28/brick. Still no Fed.
