  1. Season is wrapping up, lots of good deals will be popping up on the classifieds.
  2. I remember that stuff from the early 90's. Subgun ammo. Was supposed to make major. Used to see it in Shotgun News.
  3. Kevin, that's why I don't sling it. Too easy to sweep someone. I am also carrying it to and from the cart muzzle down so as not to accidentally muzzle sweep when I bend over to pick up my ULASC round. Slings are not needed, and I think should be removed when the permanent rules are done.
  4. I tried TF +5 Glock pads on my PSA/Metalform/Colt mags, & they were too loose. With rounds in them & the spring compressed, they popped off.
  5. Me neither. Says they are still working on it.
  6. I tried my Troy ambi mag catch in my RRA lower with PSA mag block installed. Would not hold any mags in the block. I had to get a 9mm mag catch. I'd love to use an ambi. I understand it is hit or miss if a regular mag catch will work.
  7. Our rules are generally exclusive in nature, they don't usually tell you what you can do, but what you can not. I don't see where they disallow it, so do it!
  8. My mag block goes in from the top. I had to remove the bolt catch to put it in, then reinstall the bolt catch. It is super tight in my lower, so it stays put. The bolt does lock back on the last round. I use Palmetto/Metalform Colt style mags. They've been on sale a couple times recently for $20. The various Glock mag ARs look interesting & worth a look.
  9. It doesn't work. I'm sure it's coming, but it's not there yet. Thanks in advance!
  10. I built mine. Already had an AR15, so needed an upper and a mag block. For the upper, I got an Anderson lightweight with shell deflector and no forward assist. Barrel, I got the Faxon 10.5" (registered SBR). I had a Nordic free float tube laying around, and a Colt 9mm flash hider. I bought a Palmetto bolt, mags, and mag block on the classified on AR15.com. I also added the Rock River Arms 9mm mag catch and buffer, and 13 quarters in the buffer tube to keep the bolt from over travelling. Bought a used C-more here, and done. If you already have an AR, build another upper for it. Add a mag block and buffer. But, nothing wrong with buying another gun if you want it. Palmetto stuff is good, but never in stock. Even when it's on sale, it isn't available. And if it is in stock, it'll be a month before it ships. And as far as ordering straight from RRA, I've had a 9mm upper on order for 2 months, still haven't heard from them. And building it is fun. Check the rimfire/pistol forum on AR15.com, lots of great info.
  11. My call came today. Receipt came by email. And it verifies the match is shot Sat.-Sun.
  12. I didn't get a Uplula right away, thinking "how hard can it be"? I ordered one after the first match. They do get easier to load after the springs get compressed a couple times, but the loader is worth the $.
  13. Top. It was very tight in my RRA magwell.
  14. That's what I did with my registered SBR. Added a Palmetto mag block, RRA buffer, and built an upper with a Faxon 10.5" barrel and Palmetto bolt. Got used Palmetto mags on another site, plus new ones when they were on sale for $20. Just bought a used C-more here.
  15. I tried to use the Para/Dawson pads on my 140 SV tubes, & the follower kept getting stuck under the indent on the sides. So I tried it on a 126 STI tube. With Grams guts & a Arredondo spacer, I get 25 reloadable. Been 100% reliable. The indents go all the way to the base pad rails so nowhere to get stuck.
  16. I've found flat paint is MUCH better than gloss, for the cheap stuff. dries much faster.
  17. Jason Falconer. If anyone knows him, buy him a beer from his brothers in Greene Co. Ohio, and tell him thanks for staying frosty. Some in this nation still appreciate us, & I know 9 families in St. Cloud do today. I know sometimes I feel lazy, and just want to be one of the sheep today, but I remember I have a responsibility. If you are able to, carry. Never forget, there will always be those that wish us harm.

We used 1000 CCI SRP at the Indiana 400 last weekend in our open guns. 17# M/S with Dawson extended firing pins. All went bang.
  19. The PA micro was a solid sight, but I found I prefer the view thru the Cmore on my PCC. I wouldn't feel "under-geared" with either. And if I was starting from scratch, I don't know if I'd spend $209 for a Cmore over $89 for the PA. Both are excellent choices.
  20. Just use the Railway mount it comes with. Perfect height.
  21. We enjoyed Louisville this past weekend at the 400. Guy Fieri's Smokehouse on 4th street was great. The whole 4th St. Live was fun. And it's so close to Silver Creek. I think the range is shared with several clubs, so matches all the time.
  22. They need to get Linda Chico involved again. Linda does match management! I was a little disappointed when they didn't honor the 24 head start on signups for returning shooters, but oh well. But I have money! Someone take my money!
  23. I just swapped out my PA micro for a C-more w/ 8 MOA dot. I like it a lot better. Better field of view, less obstruction around the lens.
  24. My wife's second major, but first one we travelled together to. Had a great dinner on 4th St. in Louisville on Fri., sightseeing the Chinese boat races at the Waterfront on Sat., dinner with a friend that evening, and 15 fun stages. On the way home she asked when we are doing it again.
  25. And, the most recent from Practiscore says the match is Sat./Sun.
