  1. Try Prima V. It is also single base, clean, and cheap.
  2. Rowdy, that is what I'm doing right now. JP yellow springs on a stock DPMS trigger group. Not spectacular. I used to have a trigger group from Bill Springfield. He does triggers for DCM shooters that have a minimum pull restriction. Send him your stock trigger group, he does his magic and sends it back. I think I may do that again.
  3. Beef, the social aspect goes both ways. Could it be your squad might sense you are "stand offish"? I have made some great friends, and enjoy eshooting with the best friends of my life. If you are near SW Ohio, I invite you to come to our several clubs. Some of the best people anywhere.
  4. eBay hanger came in today, & I got it put on my Blade Tech. It is for sure heavy duty, but crudely finished, which doesn't matter to me for the price I paid. All the holes line up perfectly. It is unanodized aluminum, so I will probably shoot it with flat black Krylon or Plastidip. Appears to be a good budget alternative to the Boss & Springer.
  5. Robertg5322, not necessarily. 9mm burns it's powder in roughly 7-8" of barrel. Once it exits a 16" barrel, it's going slower than if it was shot from a 8" barrel.
  6. I ordered the eBay hanger today. Hooks hella stout.
  7. Try a 17 & 18# 1911 mainsprings cut to the same length as the Sig mainspring. Use the softest primers you can get, Federals preferably. Sig hammer geometry is such that you won't get a lot of improvement from them. Bruce Gray's short reset trigger is a great improvement over stock.
  8. I'd replace it if you get blood on it/use it. The tourniquet is designed as single use. Once it is tightened enough to stop a bleed, it can't be be reliably used again, or so we were taught. If other items get contaminated with blood, treat yourself to fresh stuff.
  9. I carry a "blow out" kit in my range bag. Tourniquet, Quick clot, compression bandages, chest seal, trauma scissors, gauze. Never needed it, but it's there if I do.
  10. My CMC 3.5# single stage flat works with my PSA hybrid bolt.
  11. I tried Dawson Glock base pads on my Metalform 32rd. mags, and they will not stay on. TTI seem to be working, but $32 for a base to go on my $13 mags is kinda steep. A more economical solution would be great.
  12. Palmetto has Strike Eagles for $239.
  13. I got an email that midway had free hazmat on cci. Not sure if it's still on.
  14. STI tubes w/ Grams 11 coil spring & follower, and a Dawson +1 basepad gives me 23 reloadable & 100% reliable.
  15. We have a time share in Kapaa on Kauai. The whole island is laid back. Go to the west side of the island until the road ends, then take the pothole filled lane back to the beach for the sunset and a view of the beginning of the Napali Coast. Always the highlight of our trip.
  16. Using pistol primers in pistols, I've had no problems in lightly sprung guns. Using SR in one of my open guns, even with a long firing pin, around 40% failure to fire. So, I'm leaving the S&B SR primers for my .223.
  17. I got the Qore Performance upper arm sleeves and an extra pair of inserts this summer. Definitely made me more comfortable, especially when combined with the Mission cooling cloth that you wet and snap. The inserts last about an hour, then you swap them for the pair in your ice/cooler. Repeat as necessary.
  18. I'm using a polymer Cmore on my flat top, & do not use the spacer. Cheeks perfectly for me. 1.5" is right, cause it is an absolute cowitness with ARMS flip up sights.
  19. I wonder if the ambi would work on a dedicated lower...
  20. I'm using 124 FMJ loaded with 5.0gr. of Power Pistol, just to use up a pound I have. 10 shots averaged gave me 132PF thru a 10.5" Faxon barrel. The same load in my Glock 34 w/ factory barrel was 122PF, & in my DW PM9, 120PF. I like 147s in my minor pistols, so I'll shoot this load in my PCC until the PP is gone. Then I'll use some Titegroup.
  21. I will say I do see jmob50's reasoning, but if we eliminate slings, it solves the problem.
  22. But he is doing something, if he allows his muzzle to sweep someone. Let's not ruin this experiment before it has a chance to succeed. Slings serve no purpose in PCC in USPSA. I believe that is true for 3gun as well. I'm shooting PCC & I vote DQ as well.
