Actually I'm from NY. Don't get me started on how they speak up there. My cousins live on Long Island...or as they say...:"Lawn-Guy-land". I get shivers every time I hear them speak.

I think you should be legally allowed to pistol whip anyone over the age of 15 years old that uses the phrase "come with". ie: I'm going to the bar to watch the game and drink a couple of pitchers of beer, you wanna come with? That shit drives me nuts. You don't sound cool when you say it....you sound like a tool.
  3. Shooter C: Can't afford bead blasting so he sands the slide by hand with sandpaper. At the Chrono Station, A&B are OK. C gets bumped to Open.
  4. Depends on the bullet shape. In my SP01 I normally load Montana Gold 124FMJ to 1.150. I have NEVER had an issue with this OAL, none. Recently I had an issue with my press and found out I was loading longer than I thought. So i can tell you that the MG 124FMJ can be loaded out to 1.163 and still not have an issue. As for JHP's and 147 FMJ's, whole other story. When I was loading Zero 124JHPs, I believe the OAL was 1.015". If I went out to 1.017" it would not pass the barrel drop test. The CZ's have a shorter free bore. The distance from the end of the chamber to the start of the lands. The 115/124 FMJ's usually are GTG at any length. 147 FMJ and 124JHP need to be loaded much shorter.
  5. I've driven in some of those places. One of them is a state very far away from me, and I hate every time I have to visit there. I want to run the red light every time I come to those on ramps. What a joke. Here are simple step by step instructions on how to merge onto a highway. Step 1: Remove your head from your ass. Step 2: Accelerate up to highway speed. Step 3: Merge.
  6. Thank you!! This absolutely drives me nuts. It's called an "Acceleration Lane" for a G-D reason. I get it when the on ramp is super short, but when there is a 1/4 mile long on ramp, you need to be going at least 55 when you hit the end. Damn I hate how people drive!
  7. Well, loaded another batch. All Win Cases. Was very careful, very smooth strokes on the press. Ran the rounds over my buddy's chrono. Same shit. Velocities from 950 to 1060. That rules out my Chrono being the problem, and the mixed brass. Going to go to my buddy's house this week and load on his 650 with my components. Should be a good test on whether or not it is my press/dies or not causing the problems.
  8. Sat AM/Sun PM lets you stick around for the shoot off ($20, and well worth the adrenaline rush) and the awards ceremony. Sat PM/Sun AM lets you get on the road back home a lot earlier in the day. I prefer Sat AM/Sun PM because of the shootoff/awards. Plus, we only go as far as Orlando Sunday night and finish the rest of the trip Monday morning.
  9. For the last month or so, I’m getting large variances in velocity. Anywhere from 1065 down to 979. The majority of the rounds if I shoot 30, are OK, it's only a handful of the rounds that are way off. Overall the Standard Deviations are averaging around 15-17 which isn’t so bad, but the low end numbers are what has me banging my head against the reloading bench. I’ve never had this issue before. I’ve always had very consistent loads with all of the same exact components and load. These loads are for shooting Minor PF, so the lowest acceptable is 1008 fps, but I like to have them average in the 1030-1040 range. So 980 is nowhere near acceptable. CZ SP01 – 25K rounds through it ( the gun isn't the issue though, i have confirmed the same results in two other guns ) 4.32 gns of N320 MG 124 FMJ, 1.145” OAL WSP, Mixed Brass Was using the 2X Powder Hopper and Baffle from Uniquetek, plus Micrometer bar. I have since gone back to the stock powder hopper to see if that was the issue. Still using the micrometer. I have done the following trying to fix the issue: Disassemble and cleaned all of the dies Polished the powder hopper Changed powder, ( three separate lots of N320 ) Changed primers, both WSP and CCI get same result Changed batteries on the Chronograph…a couple of times Used chronograph in Sun and Shade Called Dillon, they were no help, had no ideas. The only other thing I can think of is the temperature. I’ve been shooting at around 50 degrees, and the reloading is all done in the garage where the temp is routinely in the 40’s. However, I’ve always heard that N320 is not temp sensitive. I am at my wits end. I'm shooting the FL Open next month and I can’t get my loads to chrono to the point where I am comfortable going to a major match with them. Anything I haven’t done that you can think of??? Help! Please.
  10. Took a class with Manny Bragg last year between Christmas and NYE. Got on I-95 where it intersects I-26 just north of Charleston. From there until well past Jacksonville, the roads were jammed with cars from every state on the East coast all heading south...most of them with Blue Hairs behind the wheel. Just to keep this within the I Hate guidelines.....I HATE when these Blue Hairs sit in the Left lane and drive 55 MPH. Unfortunately they can't see past their BluBlockers to see the road signs that say the speed limit is 65-70!!!
  11. I shot Area 6 three years ago only 10 months after my first match. Mark my words....if you show up and watch, you will kick yourself and say "why didn't i sign up to shoot this match!". Take it from someone that has driven up from SC the last two years. This is a great match, you don't want to miss out. Just treat it like a local match ( just bring more ammo! ). Don't worry about the other competitors or your finish order...you'll do better that way. Not sure I will be able to make it this year, and I'm pretty bummed about it.
  12. Yep, pull handle just a little, push silver bar to advance dial. With a case in station one, I push the lever 6 times, when I size then advance, the primer is there. At the end, when my alarm goes off, I have 11 primers left. For the primer chute, you can jury-rig something on your own, or go with a plug and play solution: http://www.uniquetek.com/site/696296/product/T1346
  13. I think I found it for you. I knew what stage you were talking about and just took a shot at a YouTube search. Hopefully this is the one you are referring to. It was the 2011 Moscow Open. Stage 11, video of it, including a picture of the WSB (diagram only, no instructions) starts at the 16:44 mark.
  14. You may end up chopping off the back of the hammer after you use it for a while. If you have a high hold where the webbing of your strong hand is up under the beaver tail, the hammer will hit your hand. Doesn't hurt too much, but after using the gun for practice for any length of time, your hand will get sore. Also, be VERY Careful of the magazines. Handle them CAREFULLY, especially when they are really cold after shooting off a whole mag worth of BB's. If you hit the base pad at the wrong angle, which isn't hard to do, the flanges that hold the base pads on will shear right off. It has happened to me twice. And believe me, I'm not talking about dropping on concrete from a shooting position. I'm talking about a 3" drop onto my work bench. KWA replaced the first one, but it took several weeks. I didn't feel like going through the same process the second time so I just deal with it. You can still use the mags after the flanges break off, but it's kind of crappy. +1 on the Green gas. Expensive and hard to find, but the propane is just awful.
  15. No. Shoot all day Friday, or Sat AM/Sun PM, or Sat PM/Sun AM.
  16. Damn....I've got a PSA Lower with a Geissele trigger and four PMags.....I'm thinking that should translate into a new BMW!
  17. Clutch ... are you sure that bench is strong enough to hold up that vise? That's why he mounted it over the leg....it's more stable!
  18. Letting the protestors get that much air time was absolutely absurd. Just goes to show you that the NRA folks were the only people in that room that were Pro 2A. No one else cared enough to do anything until Wayne stopped speaking. That was ridiculous. As for the response, I liked it. What I really like is the fact that one side is saying "Let's put a system in place to safeguard the kids on Jan 3rd when they come back. Let's get it done". And the other side is saying "Let's start talking about passing some laws Jan 3rd". Which one will actually be more effective? No need to answer...we all know the answer.
  19. I've suffered from the "not enough dip" problem. It sucks.
  20. No offense, but that is just very naive thinking. Sorry, I'm not picking on you, because I have heard a lot of people say the same thing. But, things are WAY different this time. #1 - The Dems are going to be thinking "we're not going to make the same mistake in the law we did last year". They will do their best to not have it Sunset, and they will definitely do their best to not include a Grandfather clause. #2 - This tragedy is pissing a lot of people off that normally would have remained silent on gun issues in the past. They want something done and the knee jerk reaction is to agree with the gun grabbers and ban the guns. All this translates into a lot of pressure on politicians on BOTH sides of the aisle to do something. Yes, the Repubs have the house, but national outrage is going to be very hard for them to ignore. Don't forget, they are politicians that still want to get re-elected.
  21. I shoot the SP01 in Production. I had the BT DOH holster. It was nice. I switched to the Ghost Stinger a few months ago. Love it. You can get a lot better of a grip on the gun when you draw. Without a doubt, the Stinger is the best one, IMO.
  22. I did a similar project a few years ago, and ended up buying a 50 lb bag of "Black Beauty" sand. I still have plenty left if anyone is interested. Just send me a PM. http://www.brianenos...ty#entry1047924 Where did you get that stuff? Is it silica sand or silicon carbide? Wish I had seen that earlier the color is good. I did the same thing to my grips ( CZ SP01 ). I did exactly as you have, right down to the JB Weld. Mine was a little easier because the grip panels come off so there is no masking needed. However, for Silicon Carbide, I found it at this website. http://www.therockshed.com/grit.html
  23. Thanks for the reminder, forgot this book was out. Been a big fan of Flynn, Thor, and Clancy for years. If you like these guys, check out WEB Griffin's Presidential Agent Series. Similar to the other three authors work.
