Obvious
Apologies if this doesn't count as "gear" but I figured it's something you can buy. I know a lot of shooters use pro grip but I think it's expensive for what you get and I don't order from websites that have it very often. Very shortly I'm going to be playing around with chalk balls and powdered chalk to see what I like the most. Curious what others here like to use. Dis-1-Shooter
I used Pro Grip many years ago and have since switched to chalk. I once had a starting position of " Hands on top of head with fingers interlaced" at a major and found out the hard way that Pro Grip makes it difficult to separate hands/fingers. I did lose some time and threw my stage timing off.

broadside72
I really like Mueller Magic Grip Spray. Its not cheap but it does not take much. Not tacky at all, dries quick to a fine chalky layer. Doesn't get all over everything as bad as heavier stuff. Lasts 2-4 stages depending on how hot it is and how much I am sweating or touching things. ReconNav
I use the least expensive liquid chalk I can find. It's good for shooting, and workouts.
Obvious
I just wanna post a small update, I’ve gotten some chalk balls from the brand spider chalk and I like them a good bit. Felt great in dry fire. It doesn’t leave your hands aggressively grippy like I’ve felt pro grip does but makes them nice and dry
vluc
I use the rock climbing chalk balls, have been for years.
RangerTrace
I've only used Pro Grip since 2008, but lately the bottles keep drying up on me. Even the new top design. May be time for a switch....

Yeti
Pro Grip works nicely and I can always find it. Don't leave the bottle in a hot car though.

Vanniek71
I've started using Iron American after seeing a few guys try it and like it. Its cheap and works well. Comes in white which is similar to Pro grip and then they have a pink version which I guess smells like strawberries lol. https://ironamerican.com/collections/liquid-chalk/products/iron-american-pink-liquid-sports-chalk Not sure how much you need, but they sell multiples at a discount too: 2 pack ($14.95ea for 8.3 oz bottles) https://ironamerican.com/collections/liquid-chalk/products/liquid-sports-chalk-white?variant=42364889399474 6 pack ($13.33ea) https://ironamerican.com/collections/liquid-chalk/products/liquid-sports-chalk-white?variant=42673912021170 12 pack ($12.50es) https://ironamerican.com/collections/liquid-chalk/products/liquid-sports-chalk-white?variant=42673912053938 *Edit - just saw they also sell it in Walmart now too Edited March 27, 2023 by Vanniek71
