1911aow
So the S&W BUG Nationals has just been concluded. The gamer in me cant resist... What would be the Ultimate BUG Gun to shoot in order to get the most competitive advantage? I am looking at buying myself a smaller carry gun that will also fit in with BUG rules. Im thinking: SA 3.8 XDM S&W M&P9c S&W Shield (would prefer larger capacity) Glock 26 CZ 75 Compact What say you?
pivoproseem
CZ Compact Shadow line would be a superb gamer gun,........ ~if~ it fits the BUG gun rules. Isn't there a weight limit? others..... Steyr S-A1 Grand Power P1
1911aow
And for revolver Im thinking a Ruger Speed-Six with 23/4" barrel or the short SP101.
BillR1
I use an M&P 9c with an X-Grip and 17-round mag. I get a better grip with the full length mag. My 9c is one of the more accurate guns I own. That little gun SHOOTS!
Akacala
I don't see a weight limit in the rules, but I haven't finished my coffee yet . I use my CZ P07 or a ruger LCR usually. I've also used my CZ 83 in 9x18. Gaming wise I'd think a 3inch k frame for similar for Revo, auto I'd stick with a CZ but that's personal preference. SA XDm 3.8 or S&W compact would seem good too. Cd662
Don't build anything just yet. The IDPA BUG rules will be changing. People did not like "gamer guns" being used at the National match.
Ken_Bird
I think my Kimber Solo will become my bug gun. Gosh I own a pistol that is not a S&W, but I just love this little tiger. JMO
Jim Watson
My Colt Gov't .380 is a very effective Back Up Gun gun but my Springfield Ultra Compact is more "gamey" and still very portable. I shot one with my Kahr and that was a learning experience, let me tell you.

bigdawgbeav
XDM 3.8... it's like it was made for IDPA's BUG rules. Until they change them that is. Plus the opting of using full-length mags for a full grip.
steel1212
Oh I think they will be changing the rules. Nothing I saw was even remotely a back up gun more like a real carry gun!

tiger49931
Was def thinking about going revo as of latge the last few match's had little to no one shooting that class would make easy pickings for trophies. but i like the competition much more. why beat three when you can beat 30 ?
