This post made me sign up for a classifier match to get off my butt and start shooting some again. I'd love to have an Icore club, would give me an excuse to shoot open revo. I honestly couldn't tell you how much I'd actually make it thought with work/life getting in the way.
Also, there is a FB group "MNDVC" and a google calendar for matches. https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=mnshootschedule@gmail.com&ctz=America/Chicago&pli=1
Where in MN? There is a lot of shooting up here. I moved up to MSP about 3 years ago, but dont shoot much. I shot a few IDPA and USPSA matches in Revo around the cities, there we usually 1 to 3 of us.
Anyone getting bullet pull with factory 9mm in their 929s? Happened with both federal and blazer factory ammo this month for me.
I could get thru 8 rounds, but if I only shot 6 I could see some pull and a second trip thru the cylinders pull them all the way out.
Just finished shooting the 454 Alaskan at an indoor IDPA match! It was crazy! Was using some old promag hubting rounds that liked to stick in the cylinder. Luckly there were baricades to "assist" in my reloads
Oh, and a 6 round low light stage I'll try to post video of later.
This is exactly what I did.
Shot an old S&W model 10 with no trigger work in SSP for a while. Suddenly the DA on my CZs was silly easy, then I put in a 8.5 spring in the SP01 Shadow. Now I feel like a cheater.
Unicorn status as far as I know. I know one guy that has one, but thats all I've ever seen of them. He found his used on Buds. Never seen one in stock anywhere.
And here I was thinking the opposite. A lot of it will depend on the courses on any given day i think. In the past I've generally been faster with 38 in idpa
Sad that we're not getting optics. I'll probably shoot my cz p07, wonder if those new p09 magwells will fit on p07s. Either way, I think I'll be shooting more uspsa than idpa this year, and may let my SO certification drop.
