spanky
Yeah, that's driving the gun, not flinching.
Will_M
That was the gun flinching because it didn't want Dave Sevigny to hit it again. Edited September 21, 2011 by Will_M
DonovanM
That was the gun flinching because it didn't want Dave Sevigny to hit it again. Ha! I think we know what was really happening. He said it was a broken slide stop, but really he was just limp wristing it
mike cyrwus
not a chance; the gun moved after the trigger broke.
Duke Nukem
Post ignition push. Nobody at his level really just lets the gun settle back on its own after the shot. I saw old video of Ed Mcgivern and he nearly falls forward on the last shot.
spanky
Yep, look at the vid of jerry where he shoots 6 reload 6 in 2.99 (i think thats what it was) and he almost falls forward as wel.

Duane Thomas
Question: What's the difference between "timing the gun" and "flinching"? Answer: Probably about a hundredth of a second.
Torogi
On Benos book he mentioned something about flinching. Good shooters looks like they are flinching, but they aren't. I have to re-read that part.
leas327
In Mcgivern's book Fast and Fancy revolver shooting he talks about pushing the gun forward (the forward poke) to manage recoil. It looks like a flinch but it isn't. Orrrr.... Dave could write a new book and revolutionize shooting "Flinch Management and You" edit to add the forward poke comment. Oh Yeah! You think that's bad, check out the peanut gallery in this vid. I don't think I could get ready to shoot with people behind me describing every single thing I was doing. I've had someone start to read my benos shirt aloud when I was about to start, that was bad enough. Chills1994
LOL! That was at my old home club, Arnold, just south of St. Louis. I was there that day, but too much of a tight wad to spend any money on Todd Jarret's class. ProGrip sales are going to go down if that video gets a lot of views.
