Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. Actually, the SRO will dim itself down to setting 3 while in dark storage assuming it is in auto mode. Unless the brightness is locked in after 16.5 hours the optic will come off a manual setting and return to auto mode. This will allow the optic maximize it's battery life while in storage. The optic does not shut off unless you intentionally shut it off or the battery is depleted. Hope this helps clear up the operation of the SRO.
  2. I presented more of the glass on the SRO than the RTS2. Even though the RTS2 glass is slightly larger in diameter, ours is higher. Our point source is below the bottom of the lens.
  3. You will be pleasantly surprised.
  4. Can anyone answer if open/unlimited guns are permitted for the 3 man event? Specifically running a Saiga 12 for shotgun.
  5. Dean, where can one find a rule set for the 3 man team event?
  6. Also add the fact that he was not allowed to horse around on the range. He was instructed to act like an adult from the first time he was able to shoot. I had a zero tolerance policy regarding this and it worked. To this day his actions on the range are better than some adults, but and home, well that's a different story ;o)
  7. My boy started out at the age of 4 picking brass and pasting targets until the age of 5 1/2. During that time, almost weekly at the range, he picked up all the range commands and observed good gun handling skills. At 5 1/2 he started with a .22 from low ready and by the time he was 6 1/2 he was shooting from a holster with a G19. He is now 16 and driving and kicking his old man's butt on the range. All kids are different, many of his friends I wouldn't let shoot until they were 12 or older. Depends on the upbringing and technique at which you teach them. In the end, only go as fast as the kid will allow. Safety is paramount!!!!!! Don't push the kids too fast as they may get frustrated and lose interest. Airsoft is a great way to get them started as well. Work all the bugs out at home and then slowly get them going on the range until they have the fundamentals down and can handle the pressure of shooting in front of other people on the range.
  8. Neck size and bump the shoulder back about .002".
  9. what part of pistol caliber and 300 blackout/whisper make sense together What part of "subsonic" did you not read? Just being realistic, no chrono at locals. I understand subsonic, but I also predict people showing up at locals with rifle rounds that may or may not be subsonic, just like people shooting ammo they claim makes PF and doesn't , of course this would be a disadvantage in the 300 situation, but people have been known to fubar stuff Point taken. There is always one bad apple in the bunch ;o)
  10. Instead of capping the MV at 1600 fps, I would just cap the PF and then allow any carbine to play. 230k PF max will keep the steels safe from harm. Edited to add, also capping MV will rule out any high velocity low grain weight rounds. Therefore 1600fps then still would be a good idea.

  12. Only if you provide the steel targets 300 BLK at sub speeds are just pistol rounds. Shoot steels all the time with no ill effect.
  13. Would love to see 300 BLK subsonic allowed.
