  1. Only difference here I went with the MLOK hand guard, it takes out about 3oz of weight. My trigger is JP, but has the yellow heavier springs. I need to mess around with how you have your iron sights set up
  2. If you are just running optics look at the Mamba X I really like the Mambas compared to the others
  3. I run the JP 22 and the GMR15 https://www.ssusa.org/articles/2020/12/8/jp-rifles-1-bag-2-guns-4-divisions I have them set up basically the same, except for the stock. I haven't had really any issues, nothing different then the Tac-Sol 10/22. Maybe a light strike every once in awhile, and it didn't like the CCI 22 Clean coated bullets on feeding. It is set up with the ultra light barrel and MLok handguard to reduce as much weight as possible, same with the GMR15
  4. LA Police Gear runs closeout on Oakley's all the time, $80 for Crossrange with grey Prizm lenses https://lapolicegear.com/oakley-oo9361-2057-si-crossrange-sunglasses.html They have several other Oakley's that are closeout as well, also right now Costco has Oakley Halfjackets for $85 and $109 (sapphire lens)
  5. it is coming, there was some last minute sponsors and some changes that had to be updated some other information in there as well (little copy and paste locap information got carried over) Please review some specifics about the match that have been questions we have received-The match is a two-day format with 11 courses of fire. There are AM/PM or PM/AM. The range will be on two zones.-The match is under USPSA Multigun Rules, the scoring is Time Plus.-Time Plus is two anywhere or one alpha to neutralize the target. Total time to shoot stage plus penalties-There is no major or minor, but there will be falling steel.-Stage WSB has minimum round count, which is considered one alpha. You should plan your ammunition consumption accordingly i.e. two on paper to neutralize for example.-Steel targets are optional for either handgun or PCC. Frangible (clay birds) are PCC only targets-USPSA cardboard are pistol only, IPSC cardboard are PCC only.-Distance, the match will be on the Action Shooting Bays at the CMP and there will not be required shots over 65 yards.-Your handgun will determine your division. If you have optics then you will be in Open Division, iron sights are Limited Division.-The other features of the handgun are outlined in the appendixes of the rulebook, specifically magazine size restrictions, i.e. Your 40 round Glock mag can’t go in your handgun, you will shoot for no score.-The stages will have you starting with only one of the firearms, PCC will be stock on belt, handgun will be loaded and holstered. The other firearm would then staged.-Transitions between firearms will have you “dumping” one for the other using MGM style of drop boxes.-Slings will not be required-Function fire bay will be located in the vendor/demo area and all gun handling rules apply-Parking for all competitors shooting in zone 1 will be in the parking lot. Competitors shooting in zone 2 will be at the top of the hill.-ATV/Carts are allowed but will be required to park at the end of the Bay areas
  6. Buy a tungsten guide rod, add a heavy basepad and balance the gun better, don't have to worry about a new holster or drawing a gun and clearing the holster with a flashlight
  7. you can grind it off, have to in order to fit the box or replace with different style
  8. Take down lever, got it All the normal kydex guys are several weeks to over a month out, wanted something sooner
  9. Holsters.. Since many places don't list the 92x Performance, what other variant should I be looking for? For example https://shopwilsoncombat.com/Blade-Tech-Wilson-92G-Brigadier-Tactical-Right-Hand-OWB-Holster-15-Belt-Black-Molded-Kydex/productinfo/NW420/
  10. The current magazines shipped with the P320MAX fit the gauge
  11. Central Indiana doesn't get that bad, hell we usually don't more than 2-4 inches of snow maybe 2 or 3 times a year
  12. It will be in the Jan/Feb issue and the annual issue it will be posted online before then, but not in the nov/dec issue not enough time to turn it around and get in the magazine that quick
  13. Within 2 hours of Noblesville you can shoot a USPSA Match every Sunday There are several good clubs that host matches. 15. Yes Alliant Sport Pistol Powder and the Catalyst Primers. Sport Pistol was designed specifically for coated bullets and the ignition of the Catalyst Primer. The Action Pistol loads ( 9mm- 130, 150 40sw - 205, 45acp - 220gr) powder charge and quality control standards are a little different than the other Syntech loads. The standard deviation on the fps is tighter, but it is the same powder being used. That being said, there is a secondary powder that is similar on the burn rate chart that they use for the Syntech loads, but not on the Action Pistol.
  16. Syntech and Syntech Action Pistol are a little different in how they are loaded. 115, 124's are loaded like American Eagle product, the powder charge is basically a little hotter. 130's are loaded to function in PCC's and 150's were designed to be the pistol competition load. I have compared the 130's and 150's in a couple of different handguns, I really like the 130's in my 1911, and the 150's in my polymer frame Q5 in Carry Optics. I am comparing the dot movement between the two now in the Q5 Steel Frame, leaning towards the 150's.
  17. There are only 4 slots available Saturday and 10 on Sunday left https://practiscore.com/sns-400-indiana-section-championship/register

  19. Because saying a classifier is legal or not has nothing to do with the Divison or equipment in it. Any change to a Divison can have an effect on the High Hit Factors for that Divison. So 6 vs 8, moon clips vs loaders, irons vs optics, major vs minor, all can have an effect, positive and negative, and needs to be considered. When 8 round was allowed there was no consideration for classifier stages that had more than 6 rounds, so there were High Hit Factors that were way off.
  20. It is not about legal, it is about established High Hit Factors for classification and how making a change in a division would effect it. This is already been screwed up before with the 6 to 8 round change effecting some HHFs on stages with more than 6 rounds. And it definitely was acrewed up for PCC. The larger issue that has been mentioned is that it is harder to shoot than other divisions and the cost of entry is pretty high considering what you need to get started. Take for example someone that is new and wants to get going, it is not just the guns, holster, moon clips, moon clip holders, moon clip loading tool, demooning tool. If you ask a Revolver shooter they will also tell you that you will need trigger job and other work on the gun and becasue of that you will need to reload ammo with only Federal primers, and you do t have to get a 929 you can get other models and can reload short Colt... It is overwhelming, do all that and now spend hours learning how to reload the thing. Shooting a stage is much harder, 8 rounds minor, very limited capacity with minor scoring... you guys are masochist. If optics are allowed then you are going to push away the people that won’t spend the money to “upgrade” their firearms. If it adds anyone it will maybe be a wash with those that leave it. If optics on revolvers are allowed in CO very few would make the change in my opinion, because you are up against 22-23 round guns. If I am wrong, if people do move, will it be new people or just already pull from Revolver and reduce the already dwindling numbers? Would it be the end of Revolver? What causes and effects have to be looked at not just for the immediate results but the 2-3-4-5 years from now effect. You can’t just stick an optic on a revolver and pop it in Production Divison, you have to figure out the HHF. You also can’t just give Revolver major scoring and reduce the power factor to say 145, the HHF have to be adjusted, and the same can be said for just adding an optic to the existing division. You can’t just flip a switch and make everything line up. Even looking at the limited participation in this thread Revolver shooters are not in agreement with what changes “might” help. I am a member of the bylaws and rules committee, however I do not vote. As a full time employee I am there to assist with the discussion based on being engaged at the club level, Match Director Level, and trends with in the industry and our members. Any change I believe would have no net gain and would more likely have a negative effect with less participation by rising the perceived cost of entry or divide competitors numbers by adding optic Revolver to any other Davison, basically killing Revolver as a division. Maybe a review of Appendix A2 with regards to participation and recognition, but for all divisons, not specific to just Revolver. However it will be met with resistance because of the “participation” medals idea. The men that created this did so to test the theories and equipment of combat shooting and to continue to develop techniques and technology, not to give a ribbon to the 3rd place out of three. This isn’t little league t-ball. As a match director and competitor I actually like Appendix A2 the way that it is 10% recognition at Area and Nationals and 20% at Level 2, but I could make an argument to separate Area/level 3 and Nationals, but for all divisions, not just a doing a “special” thing for one.
  21. I do not think adding optics to Revolver will do anything for increase participation, I think it would actually hurt. Current competitors may not want to have the added cost of now having to get an optic The cost of entry for newer competitors is going to be higher and the competitors that didn't switch to 8 rounds are not going to dust off their 625's to get 627/929's now to add an optic. I think that there are some other changes that could be done that might help Revolver/L10 and Single Stack with regards to max round counts at level 1 and 2 matches and participation levels for Area matches in Appendix A2
  22. Appendix A2, which is sometimes misunderstood, allows a match to announce what divisions will be included. As I understand it was so that there could be Stand alone division matches i.e. Revolver Nationals, or Factory Gun Classic etc. The second part of Appendix A2 refers to the participation levels to recognize a division (class and category) by match level. The recognize part in this appendix refers to awarding Area or National Champion and the earned slots that go with it. Unfortunately the MD for Area 2 is within the rules, right or wrong, but are using the participation level to decide to not even allow it, which is not what the intention of the appendix is. I would recommend contacting the Area 2 Director about your question.
