  1. Hello: I like the Gray Guns curved trigger since it feels a little shorter on the reset to me. I think it maybe that my finger is in the same spot every time I pull the trigger. Thanks, Eric
  2. Hello: The Glock 17 and 34 use the same frame. I like the Glock 17 length slide for Carry Optics since it transitions quicker for me and gets back on target faster for me. Using the same load in a G17 and G34 the power factor is only 3 difference. So G17 is 131PF and the G34 is 134PF. I have owned both and sold the G34 MOS and kept the G17 with the Brownells RMR slide and a Holosun 507C on top. Thanks, Eric
  3. Hello: I don't think one is faster than the other platform if you practice with each one. Right now I am actually faster with my Glock than the Sig. I only have about 400 rounds down range with the Sig and only 40,000 with the Glocks. Since I shoot alot of 1911/2011 style pistols the Sig seems to point better for me but the Glock works after a dozen draws. Thanks, Eric
  4. Hello: I must be a cheap ass since I can't see why these cost so much? At most they should be under $300 since they don't have solar power or rechargable batteries or a camera in them. No high priced lens or titanium case. I guess we will see how these hold up in the competition world. Thanks, Eric
  5. Hello: The P320X5 has less felt recoil with 124's than a Glock 34. I like the Glock 34 with 135 or 147 grain bullet at 131PF. I did the trigger and it is under 3lbs. The X5 just feels softer shooting to me but still transitions very well. I thought the higher bore axis would be a problem but it is not and feels good in the hand. Both are setup for Carry optics but I actually like the Glock 17 more than the 34 for Carry optics. The Glocks I have are gen3's if that makes a difference and have tungsten guide rods and 13lb recoil springs in them. The X5 has a Gray Guns trigger and a steel Gray guns guide rod with a 14lb recoil spring for now. Thanks, Eric
  6. Hello: I would say the Gray Guns competition trigger. Stock mine was 5lbs 8ounces and very shootable at that. I installed the trigger and it is less than 3lbs now. I think it is actually a little lighter now. It has almost no overtravel when you install the stop bushing. I think I am going to take it out since I like a little overtravel. I am using the curved trigger in mine. Thanks, Eric
  7. Hello: Looks like another DPP crapped out here today. He has sent them back about 5 times now. He also has more than one on his open pistol. Make that two of them died today. The other was on a Carry Optics pistol. Thanks, Eric
  8. Hello: I can't see them not offering a black version as well. An all gray version makes more sense to me just because I like the black and gray combo. Gray grip and black slide please. Thanks, Eric
  9. Hello: If you are loading just a 1000 rounds a month buy a Dillon Square Deal B. Find a good used one and load lots of ammo with it. I have owned 5 of them and they are great little presses. I have also owned a 550 but never a 650. I have heard of to many problems with the 650 so I skipped to RL1050's and never looked back. The Dillon presses I would buy now are the SDB in 9mm and another RL1050. With Dillon presses you won't loose any money on them if you keep them for 5 years. You can't say that with any other press. Thanks, Eric
  10. Hello: If you only want one load then you already have what you need. If you are going to load for your MPX then you will have to have two loads. One for your pistol and one for your MPX other wise just try different powders that will work in your pistol. This may sound pissy but load for the gun you are using to make it the best shooting one it can be. Use two different bullets so you can tell the difference. Thanks, Eric
  11. Hello: Load 115's to 138- 140PF and don't look back. Tite Group, Clean Shot, N320 all of these work great. Thanks, Eric
  12. Hello: 11lb ISMI recoil spring on a captured guide rod works very well. Thanks, Eric
  13. Hello: It looks nice but a little too expensive. I have a $300 max for any small red dot. I have been very happy with my Holosun 507C so far and I can buy two for the price of the SRO. Thanks, Eric
  14. Hello: First thing to check is if the bullet is hitting the comp. Next try upping the powder a little to get you to 140PF. That may help or it may open the spread up more. Lastly try a different bullet and see if that helps. Thank,s Eric
  15. Hello: I have a Safariland I bought from Shooters Connection. Can't beat the price and it fits perfectly. It is Safariland 5196-450-411. Tell them Eric sent you, wait maybe don't say that. Thanks, Eric
  16. Hello; Montana Gold 115 JHP, 8.9 grains of HS-6, Winchester small rifle primers, 1.170" OAL. This should give you 171PF in your TruBor. Thanks, Eric
  17. Hello: I am still setting mine up but so far I have the Gray Guns trigger kit, GG steel guide rod and I am using a 14lb ISMI recoil spring. I think either a 14 or 15 pound spring should be good for you. I am going to stipple my grip and if I don't like that I will silicon carbide it. The grips are cheap so I plan on having two for different games. Thanks, Eric
  18. Hello: What is your load and bullet used? Thanks, Eric
  19. Hello: I thought the same thing about the bore axis being higher up but it really shoots well with a nice load around 131PF. I am still working up loads and working out some self induced bugs on it. Thanks, Eric
  20. Hello: I am using a Holosun 507C on my Glock 17 and a Romeo 1 on my Sig P320x5. I like the Holosun alot with it's small dot size and option to use the circle. The Romeo for me has a large dot size since it is a 6 but looks like a 10. It also does not have a setting that is great for me when I shoot indoors. Low is too low and the next one up is a little too bright for me. The Romeo came with the pistol and I do like the larger glass on it. I have seen another Sig with the DPP but I have also seen some of those go down on open pistols. You may want to wait and see what Sig will be bringing out soon? Thanks, Eric
  21. Hello: Get a 13lb recoil spring. You can use a Seattle slug and cut the bottom off like a Pearce plug. Thanks, Eric
  22. Hello: Could you have had case that split or separated? Thanks, Eric
  23. Hello: The TruBor's I have shot I was using Montana Gold 115 JHP with HS-6, Silhouette, WAC and 3N37. Very accurate and quick back on target. I forgot to add this is in 9mm. Thanks, Eric
  24. Hello: I did not get a chance to do any testing since I had some trigger problems. Hopefully it is all cured now. I do have one load that is 124gr Extreme plated, 3.9 grains Clean Shot, Winchester small pistol primers, 1.140" OAL. Soft shooting and quick splits. Thanks, Eric
  25. Hello: Glad to had a chance to dust off your PCC. I have found the stock 4 weight JP buffer setup works very well if you tune it. You can short stroke it or lighten the weights and change the spring weight to match your reloads. I really don't see a need for the 5 weight JP short stroke setup. Besides I already have the 4 weight buffers. Get a better laser but I have found I am not using it that much anymore. I just look at the hits on paper and put more bullets down range if I am not hitting the target. Love those really big sticks for PCC. Thanks, Eric
