  1. Hello: I just ground the screws down shorter so they fit. Thanks, Eric
  2. Hello: You could build one like this that is under 6 pounds all in. I have not weighted this one yet but my other one is under 5 1/2 pounds. Thanks, Eric
  3. Hello: Is the grip weight steel or tungsten? If it is a tungsten, get a P320X5 steel one which should be half the weight. If it is steel you could cut a channel in it in a milling machine. Thanks, Eric
  4. Hello: My X5 weight is steel as well. That is why I was asking if the Legion X5 is tungsten or just the stock steel one. Thanks, Eric
  5. Hello: One thing to consider for a light young shooter is weight. They can handle the recoil but the weight is what gives them problems. For my two boys I made lightweight rifles for them to shoot with. They could not keep the rifle on target with a front heavy rifle. Go with a light weight upper and adjust the buffer setup for your loads. I think a AR9 setup would be your best choice and yes I have owned both the MPX(actually 3) and still have 3 AR9's. QC-10 lowers are the best to use since the magwell angle is correct and not sloppy. Thanks, Eric
  6. Hello: Does anyone know if the grip weight is the same for the Legion X5 and the regular X5? Thanks, Eric
  7. Hello: You can use the 17 round mags in IDPA but only load them to 10. With just one reload in IDPA why do you need the magwell? Maybe remove the grip weight and magwell and use a tungsten guide rod would be my choice if it will make weight. Thanks, Eric
  8. Hello: I wonder how much more a 21 round magazine with a TTI base pad weights over the 17 round setup? Thanks, Eric
  9. Hello: Open end towards the muzzle or it will lock up a 1911 or I guess a Sig as well. I am really liking the 12.5lb ISMI recoil spring and the Springer tungsten guide rod setup. Next will be to make my grip a little more grippy. Thanks, Eric
  10. Hello: I am wondering if the ring came off the round before and then the next round went in and fired slightly out of battery. Thanks, Eric
  11. Hello: maybe a two piece case? Only you will be able to tell if you double charged it. Bigger boom than the others? Thanks, Eric
  12. Hello: Montana Gold 124 JHP's is only 3.4 grains Tite Group for me for 131-134PF. Like I said you must have a slow barrel which is pretty common for JP barrels. Thanks, Eric
  13. Hello: Any more deals out there for 9mm 124 grain bullets? Thanks, Eric
  14. Hello: I am now running a ISMI 12.5lb recoil spring with a tungsten guide rod. Splits are good at 7-10 yards using 135 grain bullets. I still need to test 115, 121 and 124 grain bullets. The dot tracks very well also. Thanks, Eric
  15. Hello: That must be a slow barrel you have or the bullet is pretty hard. I am only using 3.1grains of Tite Group with 124 coated bullets and it gives me 131-134PF out of a 16" barrel. That is not a flat primer at all if you have seen what I have seen. Thanks, Eric
  16. Hello: Well, since you sold it just move on to your next PCC. Get one and don't mess with it until you have shot at least 2000 rounds through it. I have seen way too many people try the next best thing to their brand new PCC and mess it up. If it doesn't run right from the start send it back to the builder. Don't try to make it better unless you know what is causing the problem and how to fix it. This is not directed to you but to everyone who is starting the PCC game or even any gun game. All guns will fail at some point since they are a mechanical device that wears. Is there one PCC better than the rest, not really but one that runs 100% is better than ones that don't. Thanks, Eric
  17. Hello: That holster looks good to me. Learn to use and it will be almost as fast as a race holster. Thanks, Eric
  18. Hello: I have the Holosun 507C on a Springer mount on my 320X5. I just use the dot not the circle or circle/dot. I find that the circle does not work that well for me on paper targets. I know guys who use the circle when they are shooting steel. The 3 MOA dot works very well for me and prefer it over the Romeo 1 6MOA dot. Thanks, Eric
  19. Hello: Get an Oden Works magazine release. Also load the 20 round mags up with 20 rounds. They will drop free then unless you are using a magwell that is stopping them from dropping freely. You could also use a TTI base pad on the 20 round magazine as well. Thanks, Eric
  20. Hello: The two that I use are a KAW Valley and a JP. Both have been 100% over many 1000's of rounds. I have broken two firing pins on the JP but none have broken yet on the KAW Valley. Carry spares of those is a great plan. I also have been using a KAW Valley barrels since they are light weight. I do modify the barrel feed ramp so they feed 100%. The biggest thing not to cheap out on is the lower. I only use QC-10 lowers for Colt or Glock magazines. They just work well for me and are a little cheaper than a JP. Hiperfire triggers or modified AR15 triggers with JP springs. They rest of the stuff is what you like best. Buffer setups vary and I use a couple of different types now. I am still trying to figure out what works best for me and whether I like the shorter stroke or not. Thanks, Eric
  21. Hello: I think they will keep the 320X5 Max top secret until all the old 320X5's are sold. People will buy the 320X5 legion until the Max comes out and then buy it. Prices have dropped on the regular 320X5's already. Only thing that I can see is if the cost is too high that people will look for other options. Thanks, Eric
  22. Hello: I sight in at 18 yards. Head shots at 3' put the dot on top of the head. At 50 yards put the dot at the bottom of the "A" zone. Thanks, Eric
  23. Hello: I looked up my old Auto Comp loads for 115's and I was using only 7.4 grains to give me 170PF. I use Winchester small rifle primers, Montana gold 115 JHP and a OAL of 1.170". I still think it's a primer problem. Thanks, Eric
  24. Hello: 7.9 grains of Autocomp is a compressed load? Sounds like primers are bad to me. Thanks, Eric
  25. Hello: Wow that seems like alot of Ultimate Pistol for 124 grain bullets. That load seems more like the load for Major Pistol in 9mm for me using 115 grain bullets. You may want to chrono that load. Thanks, Eric
