  1. Hello: Bo-Mar used to make one for a Glock years ago. They stuck out the back of the slide quite a bit. Thanks, Eric
  2. Hello: Try running it with the full stroke to see if it gives you less muzzle rise. Changing the comp won't do anything for your muzzle rise just makes the timer pick up the shots easier. I would also check your ammo in the barrel to see if you have enough throat. Thanks, Eric
  3. Hello: The DAA backpack is heavy unless you use the cart. The Shooters Connection range bags are nice and last a long time. I am testing out a messenger bag setup now to see how it works for me. One thing about range bags is you can have more than one. I do put stuff in small pouches so I can move them from bag to bag easily. Thanks, Eric
  4. Hello: Put your reloads in a Case-Gard 100 round box primers up. That way you can see if you have a high primer or even a primer that fell out. That just helps you know you have all the correct stuff when you go to the range. My practice ammo goes in a ammo bag so I know what is what. Hope this helps. Thanks, Eric
  5. Hello: Does it take Glock mags or something else? As for what division it would be Limited, Limited 10 and open until they put it on the Production list for Production and Carry Optics. Looks nice. I would still put scratches on your 1911 though. Thanks, Eric
  6. Hello: I would get a Caspian or Foster frame and slide. I would use either a Schuemann or Kart barrel. EGW firing control parts, ISMI springs, and Dawson firing pin. Mill the slide to frame fitment. Thanks, Eric
  7. Hello: You may want to list the bullet weight and type you are using. Not sure I would want to use Federal pistol primers with 170PF loads. Thanks, Eric
  8. Hello: Jack, I only made two of those special barrel end thingy's and will not be making any more. They are titanium and made from medical parts I got from a doctor years ago. If you want reduced recoil on a blow back AR9 work on the buffer/bolt setup and your loads. 124 grain bullets at 131-134PF seems to be the sweet spot. Thanks, Eric
  9. Hello: I like this one the best. Light and easy to clean. Thanks, Eric
  10. Hello: Put the laser at the front and at 45 degrees so when you need a hard lean with your weak hand it is not covered by your front hand. Thanks, Eric
  11. Hello: don't use AA5 for major 9mm loads. Get some Winchester Auto Comp or HS-6. You could also look at some of the Shooters World powders as well like Major Pistol, Ultimate. Lots of great powders for 9mm major. Thanks, Eric
  12. Hello: Silhouette is a good powder for 9mm major. The only thing I don't like is the oatmeal colored flakes it leaves behind. It doesn't stop the pistol from running but looks funny. Another thing is that it is reverse temp sensitive, so it gets faster as it gets cooler. One of my 3 favorite 9mm major powders. Thanks, Eric
  13. Hello: Take off the weight and change out the barrel to stock. Use factory ammo. Does it run now? If so, add the weight and see if it runs. If so, add the Lone Wolf barrel. Does it run now? If not it is the barrel which would need some work done to make it run. It would not be the first time for that. Make sure the extractor tunnel is clean and the plunger is in the correct way. Thanks, Eric
  14. Hello: Try some 147gr with 3.0gr Tite Group. If you have a lighter recoil spring this will put a smile on her face. 1911/2011's you can use a 8 or 9lb and for a Glock 17/34 use a 13lb. Thanks, Eric
  15. Hello: I zero mine at 18 yards like my open pistol. Just know where it hits at 3-50 yards and you should be good. Thanks, Eric
  16. Hello: I would also practice it right to left. You can also try left to right then right to left for the second pass. Thanks, Eric
  17. Hello: try some stock magazines with the lighter recoil spring. Thanks, Eric
  18. Hello: As with any bullet you buy check to see what gives you the best accuracy out of your gun. I would also measure the bullets to see how round they are and see how uniform the coating is. Lastly check to see if they are key holing on the target at distance. There are lots of good bullets out there so pick one that does what you need it to do. Thanks, Eric
  19. Hello: Anything with a dot on top is the most fun. I like shooting PCC, Carry Optics and Open. I shoot a Sig MPX and AR9's for PCC. Carry Optics is a Glock 17 with a Brownells RMR slide. For open it is a 2011 in 9mm. Since you have a Production setup I would get a pistol that is the same as your Production pistol. That way you have mags belt etc. Thanks, Eric
  20. Hello: Don't put any holes in the barrel. Try a 8 or 9lb ISMI recoil spring with a 17lb ISMI main spring. I would also try some 115's to see if you like them more. I would try HS-6 as well since you have it. I would shoot it for at least 10,000 rounds before you do anything to see what you like and what you would like to see different. Thanks, Eric
  21. Hello: They won't last very long shooting major 9mm loads. New frame every 7,000-10,000 rounds. They are not built to take the pounding of Major 9mm loads. That is why some use 147 grain bullets to try to make them last longer. I don't think it is a bad platform if you use a steel frame. Thanks, Eric
  22. Hello: If you are going to shoot limited minor you will only be doing one reload per stage. Get some +5/6 base pads for your magazines and have fun. I am shooting a Gen 2 G17 in Carry Optics and can start with 23 +1 so again only one reload. The best Magwell I have used for a Glock is the Dawson but they are more than $30. As they say "Buy once, cry once". Thanks, Eric
  23. Hello: Can you drill and tap new mounting holes? Thanks, Eric
  24. Hello: Limited minor is going to teach you alot on how to shoot a stage and plan that one reload without worrying about running out of ammo like some do in production. I think it will help you get to where you want to be before you move to open. Get some Arredondo base pads to give you 23 round magazines and some Dawson, Zev, TTI base pads to see what you like best. I still would not lighten your slide for Limited just get a magwell and reload some good ammo to practice with. Warning, Open is addictive and super fun to shoot. Once you shoot a dot you won't want to shoot anything else. Thanks, Eric
  25. Hello: I actually don't like a lightened Glock 17 slide even on my Carry Optic setup. I milled one years ago and it was too light. If you do lighten the slide you will have to up the recoil spring if you are using 131-134pf loads or factory loads. The slide tends to slam forward with more force with the light slide and heavier recoil spring. Lastly if you intend to shoot Production a lightened slide is not legal unless they change that rule? Thanks, Eric
