  1. Hello: One of the cheaper powders is Clean Shot. I have been using it in my PCC and Carry Optics pistol with 124's. Two different loads. pistol is 3.9 grains and PCC is 3.1 grains in a AR-9 style. It burns clean and is softer than Tite Group and just as accurate. Thanks, Eric
  2. Hello: I don't have a JP PCC but I like the longer stroke over the short stroke. I tried both and the short stroke is a little faster but my hits are better with the longer stroke. I also don't like the recoil impulse from the shortened stroke. Lastly I like to be able to lock the bolt back when I bag it. Thanks, Eric
  3. Hello: I have welded up 6 STI 2011 frames that had stripped threads on them. No problem drilling and tapping them if you use the correct filler rod. As a note I was a Tool and Die maker in a past life. Thanks, Eric
  4. Hello: My grip came today. Total weight is 44.90375ozs. The balance feels great but I have not shot it yet. I will see how it transitions for me after some testing on Friday or Saturday. Thanks, Eric
  5. Hello: what magazines are you guys using for Carry Optics in 10 round states? Also what are you using for IDPA as well? Thanks, Eric
  6. Hello: If you want to use a standard C-More slide ride then I would look at a two sided mount that is screwed to the frame with a metal support plate on the inside of the grip to sandwich the frame. That would give you a nice secure base. Thanks, Eric
  7. Hello: I bought the grip for my X5 since I already have it and Sig may bring some other pistol out in a year that maybe better or it may not be. The Legion I handled was pretty nice but not as nice as my X5 with the Gray Guns curved trigger or tungsten guide rod. I am still waiting on the grip from Sig since they sent it Fed-Ex which I ordered on Aug 2nd. Says it will be here Thursday. So I would say buy the grip and a guide rod and go shoot it. Thanks, Eric
  8. Hello: Why not just mount the red dot on the slide and call it good? Thanks, Eric
  9. Hello: So are these guys cutting the slides for the RMR putting the two locator pins in the cut? Just curious if they are or just cutting it flat and drilling and tapping the mounting holes. Thanks, Eric
  10. Hello: I shot a falling steel match on Saturday(my first one) and came 4th out of 26 PCC shooters. Then on Sunday shot a steel challenge match with my Ruger 10/22 and ended up 3rd overall out of 52. Not bad I thought for a 90 degree weekend with only 90 percent humidity and a new PCC build and a 22 that I only checked zero batteries since I have not shot it over 5 years. Great fun! Thanks, Eric
  11. Hello: doesn't the SRO have the same foot print as the RMR? So you would need two locator pins and two drilled and tapped holes. Thanks, Eric
  12. Hello: Weld it up and redrill and tap it in a milling machine. Not sure why it is 6-40 already? Thanks, Eric
  13. Hello: I handled one of these today after the match. It is very well balanced and the trigger is pretty good. I did not shoot it since it was not my pistol. I will test mine next week after the grip arrives. Thanks, Eric
  14. Hello: The spring will do the same as the Gray Guns sleeve. I actually like a little overtravel so I took the sleeve out on my Gray Guns curved trigger assembly. Thanks, Eric
  15. Hello: You can drill and tap a hole in the bottom of a comp for a set screw and that will stop it from indexing if you countersink slightly into the barrel. Like I said you can lighten a bull barrel on the sides and bottom. Cone comp having 360 degree contact surface is not true in a 1911. Thanks, Eric
  16. Hello: I thought of getting a Legion as a backup to my X5 but after hearing all of these things about the barrel(which I could weld) and slide cut for the optic, I think I will stick with my X5. I am running a Holosun 507C with the Springer adapter plate, Gray Guns curved trigger, Tungsten guide rod, and now a tungsten grip weight. The legion grip should be here next week. It will be interesting what the X5 Max will be? Thanks, Eric
  17. Hello: I guess I will see when mine arrives if it actually has a tungsten weight or just the stock one that is in the regular P320X5. Thanks, Eric
  18. Hello: The lockup for both is the same. There is an opening at the slide where the hole for the barrel goes through and the reverse plug goes through. Unless you use a special reverse plug setup. I say go with a bull barrel; and lighten the slide. If you want the barrel lighter you can remove material from the sides and bottom. My bull barrel setups will run minor power factor loads all day long and are very accurate as well. Thanks, Eric
  19. Hello: I just got a SSI grip weight to try out. The pistol with just the grip weight and the stock grip with a magazine weights 37.56ozs and is for Carry Optics. I will see how I like it. The new Sig grip should be here next week. Thanks, Eric
  20. Hello: Since I am in the home of Fed Ex in Georgia it will sit for 3 days then go to the post office for another 2 days and then I will see it. Not a fan of Fed Ex/USPS mailing system at all. Thanks, Eric
  21. Hello: Mine says it will be here on the 15th. Ordered on the 2nd and will get it I hope on the 15th. Thanks, Eric
  22. Hello: I am still waiting on Sig to ship mine. Ordered on Aug 2 and it has not shipped yet. I should of ordered it from Osage County I guess. Won't be using it this weekend I am thinking. Thanks, Eric
  23. Hello: My son just 3D printed this left hand thumb rest. He made it out of ABS instead of PLA. Thanks, Eric
