  1. You're right. It is personal preference, but why would you want a G19-ish sized grip on a steel frame competition gun though? especially after they went through the trouble of making a steel grip to make the gun heavier + being up against guys with CZ Shadow 2s & Sig P320 X5 Legions? It's not like it's a real carry gun. It doesn't make sense to go with a grip that short, IMO. It just seems lazy. I have big hands, but not huge. (I'm 5'10, not super tall). The Shadow 2 feels great. The P10C feels comfortable (whereas a lot of compacts don't for me). The P10F is bigger, of course, but the P10C feels big enough to get a good grip. The Q5 SF just left me feeling... "Why?!"
  2. Th Q5 SF's grip is way too small for a competition gun, IMO. Side by side with a CZ P10C, a compact gun, the CZ P10C had the more comfortable grip. I'd avoid it unless you have very small hands.
  3. The LSI must be super aggressive. A lot of people complain that the Evo is too aggressive, and they told me it's even more aggressive feeling in aluminum vs steel. I vote to anodize them. Check out the bronze anodized Evo grip Phoenix Trinity posted on Instagram recently. Looks awesome.
  4. The ergos of the Shadow 2 are a lot nicer, IMO... but I have large hands and prefer grips that fill the palm better.
  5. Yeah, the pricing can be out there sometimes. All of the special edition CZs are like this. Look at the Shadow 2 vs Accushadow 2 or Shadow 2 Orange prices. Better off just grabbing a Shadow 2 for $1kand upgrading the trigger yourself.
  6. No, not everything. Only the pointless, outdated things, like .40 cal and major power factor scoring.
  7. No reason to go for something small like the SRO when you can use a Holosun 510C at half the cost and get a bigger window. The SRO, Romeo3 Max/XL, etc. are good options for pistols, but pretty expensive when things like the 510C exist for PCC, Shotguns, Rifles, etc.
  8. The Keres trigger seems to have quite a lot of creep in this video I found:
  9. Cool, I'll think about getting an MR918. I'm not particularly partial to glocks, but I have an AR9 competition PCC and a short barrel AR9 pistol (just a general PDW sort of gun) that both take glock mags, and it would be really nice to have at least one handgun that could use the same mags since I already have so many glock mags.
  10. I just ordered the regular one. I won't know until I can try it. I hope it doesn't bother me.
  11. With the thin/straight backstrap, does the MR918 feel like a similar grip angle vs the OZ9? (more 1911-ish)
  12. Have you shot the Shadow Systems? it seems like it has a good bit more muzzle flip, which makes sense considering how light it is. I'm curious about it as a carry gun option though. also curious how the grip angle feels vs a Polymer80 and the Zev OZ9....
  13. Do you think any of the problems you guys experienced are related to the frame/receiver/grip itself? If not, buying the lower receiver separately still seems like an interesting idea. After all, the steel receiver is the innovative part about it and what makes it shoot better (adds weight). Could always use a different upper entirely. not making excuses for the problems, just pondering whether or not building something on the modular lower might still be a good idea.
  14. How long does the caliber change take with a dedicated tool head? I'd be looking to switch back and forth between 9mm and .223.
  15. If it's different it might not be on the site yet. I was told they will be putting up caliber change kits on the site specifically for the RL1100 (a little different than the Super 1050 kits) soon. So, there might also be a new mount for it that they haven't put on the site yet.
  16. 115s make the gun cycle faster, which ultimately gets the the dot back on target faster, and that's more important than how the recoil feels to the shoulder, IMO. 147 feels sluggish... noticeably slow cycling. 124 isn't as noticeable, but 115 still feels better to me (maybe a little more gas working the comp a little better?)
  17. If we put in an order now will we be charged immediately or when the RL1100 ships?
  18. Anyone know of a good outdoor location to do some 3 gun/PCC/USPSA open/carry optics/etc. practice in the central Florida area? (Tampa, Orlando, etc.) Looking for somewhere with steel targets or at least somewhere where you can setup steel targets. Something where you can get some semi-realistic practice in, setup chronos, etc.
  19. @ToddKS Do you still do this? 5k fully processed for $200? Just curious. I got your 5k for $115 deal recently and the quality is great (very clean), but, honestly, not having to deprime 5k pieces of brass might be worth the $85 to me lol
  20. Something seems off there. I've got way more than 100 rounds with an MBX buffer and haven't had any issues like that. That said, the Blitzkrieg HD buffer with the spacer weight to short stroke it is currently my favorite setup. About 135 PF is good for me.
  21. Primary Machine can blend the magwell for you. They do great work with Shadow 2s and TSOs.
  22. Where did you get standalone HST bullets from?
  23. From what I read, the full size version will be in both. Not sure about the compact/carry version. That might be 9mm only. I don't remember.
  24. I like the Atlanta Arms Elite 115 JHP ammo. It's what I've used most, but I'm switching over to reloading my own to keep costs down.
