  1. Does this do sizing too? If not, what are people using for sizing in tandem with the FW Arms decapper?
  2. I bought an SRO from them around Black Friday. Shipping wasn't the fastest ever, but was fine. No issues.
  3. More like 8 weeks now according to the Dillon guy I talked to on the phone a week or 2 ago. I'm considering going Mark 7 Evo...
  4. Just manual right now. Automation & primer collator are too expensive.
  5. Hopefully, they take care of you. They've been pretty good about fixing things from what I've seen.
  6. That's not common. Tons of people are running them on PCCs, shotguns, close range ARs, etc. I'm sure there are failures out there, but overall they're pretty reliable compared to most, I think.
  7. Can anyone give an opinion on how easy/hard/ok/annoying changing calibers from 9mm to .223 is? I'm getting closer to pulling the trigger on a Mark 7 Evolution, but haven't fully committed yet, and I want to start with the 9mm machine, but will want to quickly add the .223 conversion parts & trimmer. Are these the only parts I need? - Machine conversion kit for .223 - Separate tool head - .223 dies - case feeder plate for .223 Anything else? Is it easy to switch these parts out or a pain in the ass?
  8. Has the disconnector/finish flaking issue been resolved? Hope that's something people who haven't received their Honcho yet won't have to deal with.
  9. Is the Mark 7 Evolution worth the $1000 price difference vs an RL1100 if you have no plans to eventually automate? I'm considering it right now because the Mark 7 is in stock and the RL1100 has a long waiting period (they said up to 8 weeks now). However, the price is very high. What do you all use the extra stations for? Can you use a trimmer inline on it & reload at the same time? With the RL1100, you need a separate toolhead to trim/process first and then change over to a different toolhead to load. Can you avoid this with the Mark 7? If not, what can you use the extra stations for? I'm in FL and being able to drive 3 or so hours away to take something straight to Mark 7 and/or pick up from them seems like an appealing prospect if I ever have to do that. However, that also means I need to buy the machine from somewhere else to avoid the sales tax.
  10. I prefer flat triggers, but being angled backwards like that in SA isn't ideal. Not sure if it would be a problem in practice though. Would like to try it...
  11. Anyone have data for 115 grain bullets with Clean Shot?
  12. lmao ok, bud. I've done plenty of research. I've been following this gun for the past year, and there are like 20 videos from SHOT Show 2020 on YouTube stating everything you said in this thread. You didn't provide any new information. What misinformation? The only thing I am unsure about is the trigger, because they haven't clearly explained how it works or how the design will fit into specific competition divisions. SAO actions are not allowed in USPSA Carry Optics & Production, because they would provide an advantage. Striker fired guns are allowed against CZ-style DA/SA guns because they are considered DA guns due to the safety mechanisms. I assume this is not a CZ style DA/SA gun. So, what is the safety mechanism that has allowed them to get by this rule? As far as Carry Optics goes, even if the trigger is legal, which is definitely possible, I don't think they'd allow the fixed top mount, because it would give a single very pricey gun a hefty advantage and go against the spirit of no frame mounts. If you allow a fixed top mount, why disallow a frame mount? It wouldn't make sense. This is why IPSC made them make the mount to make the optic reciprocate with the slide. As far as "striker fired" goes, Laugo Arms themselves advertise the gun in this way. Read the website: http://www.laugoarms.com/alien.html "User friendly standard striker fire controls" Yet, it's clearly using an upside down internal hammer. If this is not a DA/SA design, many would argue that this should not be allowed in USPSA CO or Prod.
  13. Lancer themselves have said there's a good chance there won't be anything until 2021 in videos from SHOT Show. Has anyone seen it? There are no videos on the internet of it. Also, doesn't the gas system push the slide forward? Pretty sure I saw that mentioned in one of the videos. Not saying it won't cycle open guns though, but I don't think if it will actually soften the recoil much at all. Should be interesting. At 42-43 oz (was something like this), I guess it would be about the same weight as a 2011 with a polymer or aluminum grip. So, maybe not ideal, but not terrible. Yeah, that's because it uses a different design, which I believe is actually SAO in nature, which should disqualify it from Production & Carry Optics... it seems like they found a loophole in IPSC. Will be interesting to see what USPSA does. Agree with this. Also kinda negates the main advantage of the gun. Would be better suited to being sold as an Open gun where it won't get caught up in restrictions like this, probably. I think USPSA would sooner change the rules to clarify them further & disallow this gun or require the same mount as IPSC. Other competitors would quickly complain about the unfair advantage of the fixed optic, like what happened in IPSC. I'm still interested but too many unknowns to commit to it for that kind of money. Need to see what divisions it will be allowed in, what parts will actually be available, how quickly problems are taken care of, etc.
  14. I wonder how that would play out in competition. Don't people stagger/mismatch the types of loads they are using in the mag? I assume the self-regulating gas takes care of that. Not sure about how the adjustable would fare...
  15. Also, it has an adjustable gas system. The Vepr has a self-regulating gas system, right?
  16. There are many that work just fine. You're just going to get a bunch of people telling you what they personally use. heh. Quartercircle10, JP, and MBX are probably most popular now.
  17. http://dissidentarms.com/index.php/product/komp12-elite-competition-shotgun-ks-12-dissident-arms-kusa/ http://dissidentarms.com/index.php/product/dissident-arms-cr-12-19-barrel/ http://dissidentarms.com/index.php/product/komp12-competition-shotgun-dissident-arms/ Looks interesting. Wonder how the Komp-12 Elite compares with the KL-12 Elite Vepr.
  18. There are many companies out there offering P80-frame-based guns nowadays. For example: Brownells Hellfire/Patriot, etc. They aren't 80%. They are serialized. If the OZ9 frame is allowed, P80 frames should be allowed too. And Nomad Defense, Shadow Systems, etc. frames.... It's all still glock based. It's not like anyone is going to have an unfair advantage.
  19. With the ammo that I like (quality JHP in 115 gr for fun/competition or 147 gr HST for suppresed/self-defense), 5k of 9mm would be $2000 all by itself. $2000 sounds like a very low estimate for the amounts & calibers you listed. It would have to be really cheap stuff.
  20. A lot of people have seen it. The mounting mechanism doesn't have much to do with it. It's due to the sun reflecting off the emitter. The SRO isn't the only optic that does this.
  21. They look good, but I'm not sure I really understand the need. I've never had an issue with the polymer OEM Glock mags, and they are cost effective. Are those super long mags in the photo above making it to production or were they just prototypes?
  22. "Pull weight .5lbs. first stage and 1 - 2.5lbs second stage (adjustable)" according to the website. Sounds similar to the AR Gold and TriggerTech Diamond. Both of these have the same light initial takeup. I personally like this, especially for longer range precision stuff. I'm pretty sure Daniel Horner used the AR Gold for a long time. So, it makes sense that this would be similar. My TT Diamond has a first stage of about 4 oz, and the total pull weight can be as low as 0.85 lb., though they advertise 1.5 lb.
  23. The Tactical Sport Orange is the same frame, I believe. Worst case scenario, you could buy one of those...
