Posted this already in the Rifle forum, but cross-posting here since PCC people will probably be interested too. https://triggertech.com/products/ar-diamond-1?variant=22442108256374Anyone see this new AR trigger by TriggerTech? It's supposed to be similar to their Diamond trigger for precision rifles. It's adjustable from 4 lbs down to 1.5 lbs.A 1.5 lbs trigger pull is lighter than anything I've tried on an AR platform and sounds very appealing to me. Thinking about ordering one just to give it a try... I don't see a 9mm specific version, but this should still work for at least the people running the Taccom Extreme bolt and maybe others.

Which muzzle break only three to choose from
avastcosmicarena replied to apetrulis01's topic in Rifle - Technical
Go with The Answer. The way it installs is way more convenient. It's super easy to take on and off and time. Also, APA brakes are already some of the most popular out there in precision rifle & long range/large caliber shooting (guns that have a lot more recoil). They have an extremely good reputation. -
Phoenix Trinity Honcho vs Limcat/Atlas open guns
avastcosmicarena replied to avastcosmicarena's topic in Open Pistols
Hmm, I'm not sure that's necessarily true though. After all, they are somewhat limited by the design, right? Because you can swap barrels & calibers, that means all barrels must be the same length, etc.... In particular, I think what Atlas is doing with the slightly shorter 4.6" slides (with comp set further back) on 9mm guns does make a difference (reducing reciprocating mass, better timing/cycling). And, of course, on the 9mm limited barrel, Phoenix Trinity made this probably specifically for Limited minor, which is why it has no comp.... but for 3 gun use, Atlas has options like the Erebus which have a fixed island comp, which I'm sure still has some advantage over no comp at all even with minor ammo (although it might not be a huge difference). That's good to hear. IMO, the 510C is the best reflex optic on the market right now (crisp dot, largest window, green dot option). Atlas & Tevo both make mounts for it, & Cheely is working on one. I have 4 510Cs lol It would be cool if they offered different mounting plates for the 3 gun slide ride version though. I think a lot of people would like to have the option of using a Trijicon RMR or the new SRO or the Holosun 507C (same footprint as the RMR/SRO). I'm mostly just curious to see whether anyone has had the chance to compare to other high end 2011s, like Atlas & Limcat. The versatility of being able to switch barrels is super appealing, but $5000-$6000 is a lot of money. There is an argument to be had that the versatility might even be worth it if it's not quite as flat or doesn't return to zero as well, but if it IS just as flat, then that makes it more of a no brainer since you're getting more for your money. -

Has anyone here had the opportunity to try both a Honcho and a Limcat RazorCat or Atlas Chaos/Erebus? Purely from a value-for-the-money perspective, the Honcho is pretty tempting, since it can run both major and minor 9mm, different calibers, etc.... You simply don't get this with the competitors. There's also the fact that many other companies, including Atlas, use the Phoenix Trinity Evo grip. However, does the Honcho actually shoot as flat? It seems like the versatility comes at the cost of some refinement/details... For example, Atlas cuts down the slide to 4.6" for faster cycling, and there are no barrel popple holes on the Honcho like there are on the RazorCat & Chaos, no fixed island comp on the minor 9mm version like on the Erebus (or Omni/DVC-P), etc.... but a side effect of this is you can actually run minor 9mm ammo in the open barrel w/ comp without problems (seen in a few youtube videos), which is cool if you want to use it for more than just open. Other downsides to the Honcho: not much flexibility when it comes to optics. The mounts are only for Vortex optics, and they haven't said anything about offering alternative plates/mounts for other optics. Does anyone know whether or not the open major version's frame mount holes are the common pattern? Could you buy an Atlas mount for a Holoson 510C (or whatever) and use it on the Honcho? Overall, I'm super interested in the Honcho because of its versatility, but there are trade-offs. Wondering if anyone has had a chance to actually compare how they shoot and has any thoughts about flatness/return to zero/etc. vs Limcat/Atlas guns.

Got a reply confirming they are working on one! He said end of summer at the earliest.
-
Sent them an email asking about it. Will report back if I get a response.

It's crazy how slow they've been at getting this thing to market
-
Wait, you can't put an RMR/SRO/Holosun 507C on the Shadow 2?
-
Hmm, I think the Shadow 2 is already quite nose heavy in comparison to the Tactical Sport/TSO, which feels more balanced (though the Shadow 2 still shoots well). So, this is more nose heavy than the Shadow 2? I think I read somewhere that it's heavier than the Shadow 2 also? I guess this is squarely aimed at production. Seems less versatile vs the S2 with the extra weight (no carry optics) & no rail.
-
I think those only fit 2011s.
-
Does anyone know of a frame mount for the TSO that will let you run a Holosun 510C?
-
Nice! I might actually be satisfied with that. Nothing like a SAO CZ or 2011 trigger, but acceptable coming from a PCC/AR15.
-
How difficult is it to get a 2.75 - 3 lb trigger with a glock? I'm thinking about buying a Zev OZ9 and wondering if I can get it down to be close to my PCC and AR triggers.
-
Do you own one? Could you make a video on it?
-
There is also the ZRODelta Modulus. Similar to the OZ9, but aluminum frame instead of steel and aluminum grip instead of polymer. They don't seem to have the marketing behind them that Zev has, but they look good. Would be cool to compare the OZ9 and the Modulus. https://zrodelta.com/firearmsv1/handguns/ https://www.buyzrodelta.com/category-s/170.htm Both are supposed to have grip angles more like the 1911 and much larger frame rails for better engagement.
-
Can someone explain the purpose of/theory behind the hybrid barrels for someone unfamiliar? Any links?
-
What about something like the STI Omni that comes with a polymer grip? weight shouldn't be toooo different, right? Would be cool to see an island comp for this thing to both add some weight and reduce muzzle flip at the same time.
-
If they were changing the footprint, why did they just release the SRO with the same footprint? lol.
-
The RMR cut gives you a few options. RMR, the new SRO, which looks really good, or the Holoson 507C, which is also quite good. There may be others too.

What do you mean? They already have a "3 gun open" version that accepts a slide mounted optic. https://ptrinity.com/product/the-honcho-3-gun-model/ And it already comes with the comp'd open 9mm barrel. It would just require drilling out the receiver for the frame mounted optic & including the mount in the package. Then, it would be able to switch back and forth between open major and 3 gun open minor easily, just like the open major version can switch back and forth between open & the limited configuration. Some people just use open major style guns in 3 gun, but there is a new-ish trend of people using slide mounted optic guns with island compensators for 3 gun because they are lighter, easier to holster, etc... See: Atlas Erebus & STI Omni/DVC. Being able to have both in one gun would be really cool.
-
Wish they offered a version that could switch back and forth between a frame mounted optic (open major) and a slide mounted optic (3 gun, open minor, more general purpose gun). Not too interested in having extra barrels for .40 S&W or .38 super. It's actually a little weird that they offer both .38 and 9mm. Most people don't switch back and forth between these too often, right? It seems 9mm is much more popular nowadays. Would be cool to see an island comp on the 3 gun minor 9mm barrel, like the STI Omni/DVC-P and the Atlas Erebus. Also wish they made it easier to mount other optics, like the Holosun 510C, on the open major version.
-
Atlas is offering these as an option for the Chaos on their site now. I have two of them (the FDE version with the green dot) on PCCs and love them. Probably going to buy a 3rd in the near future.

How light can he get triggers down to? I'm kinda curious just how good a striker fire trigger can be.

Where? It's not on the website https://americantrigger.com/shop/ar-platform-triggers/ar-gold-trigger-flat-adjustable/
