  1. Ha. I must be a peasant then. I just have a Mark 7 Evo and no bullet feeder at all yet.
  2. Has anyone here seen or used the Henderson Precision Powered Trimmer? It's even more expensive than the Giraud, but seems to have some advantages. https://www.hendersonprecision.com/product-page/gen-2-powered-case-trimmer
  3. I have a manual press, and a pole would be more ideal for me too. Just don't have the means to wall mount it where I'll be using it.
  4. Mark 7 just uses the normal Mr. Bullet Feeder Pro on the Revolution, don't they?
  5. I have the Mark 7 Evo pattern quick change top plate on order now. He said they don't keep it in stock and just make it when someone requests it. Takes a week to get powdercoated and ready to ship. He can send you an invoice via PayPal to make it easy. That's what he did for me.
  6. Anyone know if these are still available? Considering buying a MBF right now, but would want a standalone mount for it.
  7. The press is a Mark 7 Evolution. How large is the RT1500? would it fit on the press without being overly bulky/heavy? I think I've read that the Bosch one Mark 7 sells right now is much more powerful, but it's also heavy & bulky, which is why they're working on a replacement for it.
  8. Trying to decide on a trimmer right now. Currently, the options are Giraud Power Trimmer, Dillon RT1500, and the Bosch trimmer kit Mark 7 sells. However, Mark 7 is releasing a new smaller trimmer in a few months. Right now, this will just be for .223, but I'll likely need to trim 6mm/6.5mm cases down the line, and possibly need to convert .223 cases to 300 blackout. The Giraud Power Trimmer is super expensive, but I'm considering just getting it right now to have something available and not using any on-press trimmer until Mark 7 releases their new smaller trimmer in a few months. Anyone have any thoughts? Other than the $$$, does the idea above sound reasonable? Does anyone regret buying a Giraud Power Trimmer? Is the RT1500 maybe better than I think and I should consider it more carefully?
  9. Also, she sent me a sample/test of the color my aluminum parts are getting anodized at the same time. So, this is proof that my things are being coated right now. And it looks quite good, IMO.
  10. FWIW, I'd guess I'm around 18 or maybe 19 weeks now, I think. However, for the record, and because I don't want this thread to leave too negative of an impression on them, Tiffany did contact me about a week ago and told me she talked to the people doing the coating and they said they'd have my gun done by April 3rd, which is this Friday. Add a few days to that for the Phoenix Trinity folks to get final packaging, test firing, etc. done and then it should be on the way to my FFL sometime next week. So, I should have it soon. I'll post an update when I get it.
  11. FWIW, they are releasing their own replacement trimmer for the Bosch unit sometime within the next few months. It will be much smaller.
  12. Just found this site: https://www.msi-viking.com/Digital_Calipers It says they ship directly from Mitutoyo America.
  13. Good info, @bigedp51 . Thanks. FWIW, the Federal 205MAR is not on that chart. It's more like the CCI 41, 450, and BR4. It has a cup thickness of 0.0255". From what I've heard, a lot of PRS competitors have done pretty extensive testing and couldn't really tell a difference between the the BR4 and 450 and tend to go with the 450 to save money. I will probably go with 450s or 41s in the future whenever they aren't sold out everywhere. Hopefully, I don't have trouble seating these 205MARs.
  14. Have seen reports of people receiving fakes/counterfeits when buying from Amazon. Anyone know of a reliable place to get them from without needing to worry about getting a fake? Perhaps, some sort of machinist tool specialty shop?
  15. Thought about 400s and 450s, but was thinking it would be a good idea to go with 41s or the Federal "AR" to play it safe with the whole slamfire thing. Anyway, I ordered a bunch of the Federal just because CCIs are out of stock everywhere.
  16. Anyone know of any sites where Shooters World Precision Rifle, Match Rifle, or Tactical Rifle are still in stock? They're gone on pretty much every site I look at (Grafs, Midsouth Shooters Supply, Powder Valley, etc.)
  17. For clarity, mine was all Black DLC for the steel parts and anodized Champagne for the aluminum parts.
  18. I don't know what company they're using, but you may be right. I chose a color I haven't seen anyone else use yet, Champagne, because it looked like the closest thing they had to burnt bronze to me, and that's one of my favorites... but, honestly, if I knew it was going to hold things up for a long time, I'd happily change to Gold or Bronze, or maybe even a basic Red or something, if those are more common and will get done faster.
  19. Same here. You're probaby right, but communication should be better considering we've paid in full and cities are going on lockdown. It may be difficult for some of us to actually get the gun through an FFL soon. Even if it wasn't directly answering each of us in emails, they could post a status update on their website or on a forum like here to address more people at one time.
  20. There are 3 9mm barrels: - sight block with fiber optic sight, intended for minor - single port comp, intended for minor (think 3 gun open gun, kinda like the Atlas Erebus) - triple port comp, intended for major, but will still cycle down to something like 150-155 power factor. The single port comp is for people who still want compensation but want to reliably run ammo below that 150-155 power factor area.... such as normal minor ammo in the 125-140 area.
  21. Yeah, I get it. I don't think they owe me anything. Seeing an extra $500 discount appearing 2 weeks after your order and then reappearing over and over at every small holiday after that is just a little painful. It does, to a degree, actually devalue the product in terms of used value on the market if someone needed to sell it. It's worse for people who paid full price ($1000 difference). It would have been nice to offer discounts on extra barrels or add-on items or something to try to make up for the really aggressive discounts offered to later buyers. FWIW, there are quite a few companies out there (admittedly, maybe not custom 2011 builders) who do let customers know of upcoming sales. There are even big companies who will retroactively refund discount differences if something went on sale within 30 days after you ordered to try to make the buying experience better. Anyway, I don't want to bitch about that too much. If the gun is as good as everyone says, most buyers, including myself, will probably never resell it, and missing out on a $500-$1000 discount isn't that big of a deal in the long run. It's mostly just the long wait and lack of information that's been annoying. That's interesting that there are rumors about the coaters sending back things out of order due to color selections. This is something that I, as a customer who has already paid in full (a little under $5k), would like to know about, as I would probably change the color in order to get the gun faster. A color is a color. I chose something, but if it's going to hold up my order for a long time and something else isn't, it would be good to know about it so that I can make a decision. This is something I wouldn't even know about if I hadn't started this thread. Beyond that, especially considering the quarantines and the run on normal household supplies, groceries, ammo, reloading components, etc. right now, it would have been nice to not have paid the balance until they actually had the gun back in hand and ready to ship. Saying it's on the way back from coating soon and it's time to pay the balance was a bit misleading, since it's been 3-4 weeks now and apparently they still don't even have it back in their possession. I've tried to only ask questions through email in order to allow asynchronous communication, thinking that calling in to them is probably more bothersome and takes away more of their time working on things... but I'd often have to send 2nd, or even 3rd, emails just repeating questions that weren't answered in previous emails. That's frustrating considering email communication is async, and it's always technically possible to read through the email and take an extra 5 minutes to answer questions. I will admit I've asked a lot of questions, but that's primarily because certain things I was interested in (mounts for certain optics, for example) weren't available when I ordered. Anyway, this thread isn't meant to attack them in any way. As long as I get the gun soon and there are no issues, I'll be happy. I'm just wondering what's going on and wanted to know if anyone else had ordered before me and is still waiting. It would also be good to know if anyone else ordered after me and has already received it, as that reveals that there is some sort of problem. Can the guys who received their gun in the last 2-4 weeks state when they placed the order?
  22. The dual dot reticle looks less distracting on the new K18i compared to the K16i. Looks like the main center dot is a little brighter.
  23. I agree that the 65 moa circle is too big to be useful. I haven't used the 507C with the 32 moa circle, but I would be interested in checking it out. I use the 510C with the green dot and only use the single dot mode.
