  1. I wish Grafs was able to better keep up with demand. They are my favorite place to buy from, as they have good prices and good customer service, but they are 100% out of stock of all of the things I need.
  2. What wait time are you at? When did you place your order? I ordered on Veteran's Day weekend, but didn't pay the deposit (and made some changes to my order) until a week after that. The quoted timeframe was 10 weeks then. It later went to 12-14 weeks or 12-16 weeks during the Black Friday/Christmas sales. It's been a bit over 4 months now, and I still have not received it. I got an email saying it should be on the way back from coating 3-4 weeks ago and paid my remaining balance & got my FFL to contact them a few days after that, but it still hasn't shipped, and communication hasn't been great. I've heard they were having problems with a new shop doing the coating/anodizing/etc., but I'm starting to get annoyed/worried about whether or not I'm actually going to receive the thing with all of this COVID-19/coronavirus stuff ramping up. Keep in mind: I was already slightly annoyed about the "2 free barrels for no extra charge" deals that came shortly after I placed my order, as they are essentially devaluing my and previous buyers' purchases, but such is life and many companies do things like that. (Though I do find it strange that they are doing this sale now even on random/small holidays, like St. Patrick's Day, when the Veteran's Day sale only included 1 free barrel... this being the gun industry and all) Anyway, I just want the thing now. Who else is still waiting on theirs? Anyone have any info on the delays?
  3. Looking at these two options for primers for my ARs. Anyone have any opinions? Is there much of a difference? I've heard that both of these can be hard to seat at times, but that might just be people dealing with military crimps without a proper swage setup.
  4. Cool, thanks! Yeah, I didn't know that because I didn't see it on the site.
  5. Does anyone know if there is anything like the Inline Fabrication mount with the swappable top plate with a pattern that fits the Mark 7? Thinking it might be nice to be able to use something like this instead of bolting directly to my workbench, but haven't seen anything...
  6. Lyman is saying end of April, beginning of May now for the new dies... going to try to wait but might end up ordering some Redding/Mighty Armory/etc. stuff. Already ordered the 2 FW Arms dies to use for .223/5.56.
  7. I get my 9mm brass from Todd (A+ Brass here on the forum). I need a good source on well priced cleaned brass. Doesn't need to be fully processed, just cleaned. I know of ammobrass.com and might use them. However, I am in FL also. So, I would have to pay them sales tax. Looking around for other options.
  8. Spoke to Joe @ Mark 7, and he was really helpful. He was pretty open & honest about a bunch of things, and he thinks the new Lyman Pro dies are as good or better than the current dies they sell in the optimized pack, and I trust that he isn't just saying that because Lyman owns them now. Why? Because he gave me a bunch of other info about things he didn't need to which saved me money, such as: - Mark 7 is currently working on a new trimmer to replace the Bosch trimmers they sell now. He said that it's "smaller and better" than the Bosch and is 2-3 months out. - They expect the price of their sensors to drop soon. - They are bringing the shell plate in house. I believe they used to use Hornady for this, but now will be making their own. So, the price of these will also go down. My takeway? Other than the FW arms dies, I am going to wait 2-3 weeks (hopefully... we'll see what happens with COVID-19) and grab the new Lyman Pro Dies. Lyman's site has the set listed for $250. They seem like a great deal.
  9. I have a Mark 7 powder measure for pistols that came on my 9mm Evolution, but need to get a dedicated powder measure to leave on my .223 toolhead. I found this deal, and it looks interesting: https://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item/00350ultrelpdrkit/ultimatereloaderpointcom-and-midsouth-shooters-ultimate-hornady-ap-powder-measure-kit It's 1/3rd the price of the Mark 7. Anyone have any thoughts on going with this vs the Mark 7 powder measure? For the price, it seems like it's worth a shot.
  10. Haven't ordered yet. I'm going to grab the 2 dies from FW Arms, but undecided on the rest. The old optimized sets are all showing backordered/out of stock on the Mark 7 site when you add to cart. Maybe that means they have stopped selling them in preparation for the new Lyman dies. I think I might wait and try the new stainless steel dies from Lyman. They look like they're good.
  11. Looks like Kahles finally has their own version of the Swarovski z8i now. Hadn't heard about this at all before seeing an email from Sport Optic this morning. https://www.sportoptics.com/kahles-rifle-scope-k18i-10662.aspx I paid a little less than this for my Z8i though. Looks like Swarovski raised prices recently.
  12. I've had an XL in 6 moa on backorder since Black Friday! I might just cancel it soon. I already have an SRO and a bunch of Holosun 510Cs (which are definitely NOT like the glock vs SV comparison someone made above! lol)
  13. I thought about it, but they told me they are replacing it with a full new Lyman set soon. Not sure if it will be of lesser, equal, or better quality though. They probably just want to start selling their own dies to make more profit. Either way, I figured it might be good to wait and see what they come out with. I'm also interested in the FW Arms stuff.
  14. Thanks for the heads up. I'll look everything over closely. I will say I was not very impressed with the buying experience, considering I spent about $3500 (9mm Evo + required conversion parts for .223). - I bought through DAA, and the 9mm Evo wasn't in stock even though the website said it was. - DAA let me know and told me Mark 7 would ship it to me directly. They were also concerned about it being shipped to an apartment and asked if I would be home (this is good), but when I said I probably would be (because I work from home) & asked for Signature Confirmation so I could sign for it, I never received any response. - After 7-10 days or so, I hadn't heard anything, so I used Mark 7's chat on their site to get in touch with them to check in with where things were at & ask a few other random questions I had (still need to buy some things). Had pretty good communication, but was told it was "on the shipping dock" and was "shipping the next day"... but was later contacted and said that that wasn't actually true and that they were waiting on a backordered item themselves (9mm shellplate, I think). They did say that they would do Signature Confirmation on the order. When I replied I asked a bunch of more questions to the sales rep, and they never replied until I sent another extra email a week later. - When I finally received the order, it shipped from DAA and not Mark 7 and there was no Signature Confirmation. Luckily, I was home at the time and got the order just fine, but this annoyed me after the above things that had happened. Not sure why so many companies in the gun industry are so bad at communication/customer service, but it really gets old. FWIW, I bought from DAA because they had a 5% off sale for President's Day, and because I'd have to pay sales tax if I bought from Mark 7 directly (I'm in FL). Anyway, haven't got around to unpacking it yet, because I don't yet have dies anyway and have been busy with work. Going to dig through it and make sure everything is there this weekend. Anyone know anything about the new Lyman dies that are coming out? Think they are worth waiting for?
  15. I bought an Evo and have it sitting in the box in my living room right now. Still need to buy dies though. Apparently Lyman is releasing brand new dies around the end of the month....
  16. Interesting... $500 is much easier to swallow than > $2000
  17. Not that I know of. I found the pic on here and took the time to add the labels just to have it around for reference.
  18. Recently ordered a Mark 7 Evo and now trying to decide which dies to get. Some questions: - Are the Redding competition dies worth it? Should I get the whole set or only specific ones? - Does anyone know what Mark 7 currently gives you for the $300 "optimized" set for 9mm? - Mighty Armory or FW Arms for the decapper & hold down dies? Has anyone compared them? - Any other suggestions?
  19. Did you ever end up posting more info about this? I ordered a Mark 7 Evo last week and am trying to decide on which dies to go with right now.
  20. Should be interesting to see how this compares to the Everglades Magnetic Race Holster. Will need to buy a holster for the PT Honcho soon.
