  1. Guys you should see prices for Tanfoglio in Europe. Stock 3 - 1160€ Stock 2 - 1750€ Limited Custom - 1990€ All those are standard/non xtreme. If you want an extreme you will need to add more than 500€ on top of that price. On the other hand, CZ Shadow 2 is a bit more than 1200€ which puts it in the range of Stock 3.
  2. Hey, just bought Bul Sas 2 Standard, which is their "entry level" 2011 style gun made for IPSC Standard devision. I own a few firearms and I had owned a few more and I must say this one is by far the best made pistol I have ever had (it is also the most expensive ) You can see that is it hand fitted and parts seems very high quality (all parts are CNCed). I like to tweak all my guns, most of them as soon as I buy them, but this one is perfect out of the box. Trigger was a bit heavy from the beginning but after 100 rounds it is much better, maybe still just a little too heavy for my taste (will see after a few hunded rounds). Only strange thing is that I received 3 magazines, each with different base pad??? There were also 2 other rebound springs, a few small springs, screws, spare rear sight leaf, cleaning rod and a bunch of stickers in a box. Owerall for me it is 10/10. Would buy again in no time.
  3. Hi, I am currently searching for a new hammer for my Limited in 45 (SA only gun). Did you also try new unica SA only hammer? Otherwise I will probably go with Delta SAO. I did some polishing and put xtreme medium hammer and firing pin spring and trigger is light enough for me, but as you said you can feel a creep and a reset is long. Thank you! Best regards, Ales
  4. I do not know why the link is not working. Here is the print screen on the page.
  5. I do not know more about it, its the first time I saw it, but apparently Tanfoglio makes one: https://www.tlgunshop.com/PBSCProduct.asp?ItmID=27026525
  6. Probaby not. I have a Limited SA and its hammer does not have a notch to connect a disconnector. From what I can tell you need a hammer, a disconnector, a disconnector pin (to hammer) and a DA/SA trigger. Best regards, Aleš
  7. I have both. from measuring large frame grip is slightly larger (1-2mm and 0,5mm thicker), but this might be more due to that large frame is old model and small frame is new model. Best regards, Aleš
  8. You are the best. Thank you for all information. I have never seen this on any of my pistols, so I was worried that it might damage firing pin on the long run. Thank you again!
  9. Hello guys, so a new strange thing is happening with my Tanfoglio Limited 45 ACP. I have noticed that primers after firing have rub marks or something similar. It looks like when gun is ejecting empty brass, that firing pin is not retracted fully and it slides on the primer. So far I have tried: -removed firing pin block (no change) -checked firing pin (no damage) -checked firing pin spring (looks ok) -cleaned firing pin and spring (no change) If I only load a round into the chamber, there is no damage. If I put fired brass into gun, dry fire it, and eject it by working slide by hand, no damage occurs. Is it possible that gun is ejecting brass so fast that firing pin is still "out"? I use reloaded ammo, with Murom large pistol competition primers, but I also fired a few with standard S&B primers and its the same. Thank you very much for your help! Best regards, Aleš
  10. Yesterday was the first time I saw this gun. From what I can tell I think it is fantastic and my primary use would be IPSC. I was in contact with our importer (Europe) and he said they have ordered a few and will be available sometimes after September or even October. I am planning to make a reservation on one. Can you talk me out of it?
  11. Unica grips are thin. Basicly same as new tanfoglio alu grips (not extreme) but with a bit more bling.
  12. I replaced stock firing pin for extreme firing pin on my Stock 3 (small frame). From what I can tell dimensions are the same (extreme suppose to be 10% heavier). I do not know about Unica firing pin, sorry.
  13. I was trying to catch reflections with light so slide looks worse on pictures than it really is: http://shrani.si/f/3t/rl/wg5o5n6/20190415211952.jpg http://shrani.najdi.si/?1t/zy/4VOQI1Ro/20190415211946.jpg http://shrani.najdi.si/?32/Mk/2rDm8lBS/20190415211939.jpg http://shrani.najdi.si/?2k/wb/11ONFpOo/20190415211906.jpg http://shrani.najdi.si/?1k/Cm/4KgflXOC/20190415211857.jpg http://shrani.najdi.si/?2f/xH/2grqPEuT/20190415211842.jpg
  14. This might be a case, but maybe it is just my fault draging up and down everything for quite a few times trying to find out if barrel is locking completly I had range session again today and I clean everything, "wear" on lugs is the same as it was. Gun has now close to 500 round thru it and I think (I hope) it will be good.
  15. Hello guys, did anyone found any aftermarket wood grips for Tanfoglio (Large frame)?
  16. Hello. Thank you for your replay. I have put arround 150 round thru it this weekend. Barrel and slide are the same. I hope it was just inital break in or bad manufacturing. I will keep an eye on it and hope it will stay like this. I really do not want to deal with Tanfoglio warranty here in Europe. I think I would be without a gun for a quite a long time and at the end it will probaby be "my fault". I have checked my Stock 3 which has close to 20k rounds thru, it has the same peening, but I do not know if it is like this from the beginning. Thank you for all your help! Best regards, Ales
  17. I figured that peening is not on critical side. If I understand correctly, this side of lugs, do nothing during opening and closing of "action". When gun is in locked position action is rock solid. On the side where barrel and slide makes contact during cycling all edges are 90 degres. So i am good (i hope)
  18. Hello, I have bought new (old model) Limited in 45. It had a bit of peening from the factory but after 250 rounds i think it may got even worse. What do you think? Is this something that should worry me? pictures: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1GT9ql6cFyPowclnb4yQz6aMzga2CtUrC Thank you!
  19. Hi guys, So gun is at home. I must say that I expected that there would be more of a size difference between small and large frame. In my ipsc kydex holster which I use with Stock 3 small frame, limited is having a lot of play. Owerall gun feels great. Trigger is crisp but on a heavy side. Do the same main spring work for a 45 as it does for a 9mm?
  20. Hi all! I know that somewhere between 2015 and 2016 Tanfoglio made minor changes to frames. I have stock 3 with new frame and know that wood grips are different, also beavertail is sligtly different. I am intrested in buying new Tanfoglio Limited 45 with old frame for a very nice price due to being old frame. Are there any major differences between frames?
  21. I have small frame 2015 or 2016 model and it looks like right one...
  22. Most of my shooting buddies have Shadow 2 pistol and most of them shoot 145-147gr bullets with powerfactor just barely over 125. It works great for them, but I do not know if they have changed rebound spring (for some I know they did, but not for all).
  23. I have tried what MemphisMechanic is talking. With my gun (Stock 3 - small frame) if I file(round) slide stop, when inserting mag with force, mag jams in front of the slide (part of the slide, where the bullet goes, sits on the rear part of the mag). Overlap is 2 mm or even more, also light grinding did not solve the problem (it overlaps too much). If I round slide stop even more (so that frame falls with very gentle insertions) I found that slide stop does not hold slide with enough force and can drop a slide even without mag insertion. I use stock mecgar mags without additional baseplates. If magazines would have wider baseplate so that base of pistol would stop magazine from overinsertion, that might work on my gun.
  24. Hi! I have bought and installed following parts (also polished them): Tanfoglio Xtreme Titan Hammer Tanfoglio Xtreme Sear Lever - Model : Regular (one-piece) Tanfoglio Xtreme Interruptor Tanfoglio Xtreme Trigger Bar Guide Tanfoglio Xtreme Firing Pin Spring - Model : Medium Tanfoglio Xtreme Hammer Spring - Model : Medium Tanfoglio Xtreme Firing Pin - Model : Small Frame Tanfoglio Xtreme Firing Pin Safety I have also bought both of the springs, but I chose tanfoglio not Patriot defense, not really knowing why, I guess difference in price I agree on the polishing. I am new to "gunsmithing" so my polishing is something that I need to work on. I have a plan to do it again after few shooting sessions. But trigger weight aside, my trigger is worlds apart from the factory one. SA break is fenomenal. I always really liked feeling of 1911 triggers, and except of the pre travel, now on tanfoglio feels quite the same. Thank you! Best regards, Ales
