  1. If that's what you meant, that's what you should have said, cause it came across like a snarky jab at people who want you learn to be a better RO & shooter. You should stick around, you will learn a lot here. Just don't have such thin skin.
  2. The provisional rules we've seen so far say it has to be shoulder fired. I don't think anyone wants to volunteer to be the test case for the first prosecution of a pistol being fired as a rifle, or whatever ATFE is calling it. Cheeking it won't be allowed by rule.
  3. Didn't know we had one. Some epic threads up in the USPSA section that include threats of violence & other "sky is falling" melodrama.
  4. We had a similar situation a couple years ago. An RO would insist on telling the shooter to put the safety on in the middle of his making ready. Annoying as hell. Glad he's gone.
  5. Agree, Chuck. My local match directors will either offer it or they won't. I'll still be there shooting something. Those that don't want PCC at the match will either show up or they won't. Why are we still kicking this? No one is changing any one's mind. Same circular jibber jabber taking up band width.
  6. Maurader is a 2011, wide body. I've had 2 Trojans. A 45 & a 40. The 40 wouldn't run no matter what mags I tried. The 45 did not feed hollow points, & the ramped barrel on a 45 was not necessary. The stippling on the front strap is absolutely useless. It does nothing to aid grip. The frame is cast, which should be fine, but forged is better. That's why their more expensive guns are forged. The under cut trigger guard was ok. The RO is forged. The new stainless look really nice. No checkering, but it saves cost. Word is they are fitted like a TRP, but half the cost. I have 9mm DW PM9. Forged & checkered frame, Bomar style rear sight, fiber optic front, flat top & serrated slide, all machined fire control parts, tightly fitted slide to frame to barrel fit. Add a magwell, tune the trigger a little, add an ambi safety if you like, and that's it. Mine is 100% with Dawson, Wilson ETM, and Checkmate mags. I prefer the Dawson's.
  7. Neither. Dan Wesson PM9
  8. I think it says muzzle vertical. I took that as up or down.
  9. Any follow up to this? Have you used it? Did it work on the bill of a hat? The Stealth has a standard bipod bolt interface on the bottom, so I drilled a hole thru the bill of a ball cap mounted it onto a bolt. The lens rotates so it records oriented correctly. This gives the best view, but it does pull the cap down over my eyes, especially in 3gun where there is a lot more running & props to deal with. Doesn't help that I'm bald as an egg, hard to keep the cap from sliding around. I recently mounted it on top of my ear pro. The view isn't as good, but I don't have to adjust my cap while shooting a stage.
  10. I use the Fisher Space Pen at work. Works in cold or heat.
  11. My PM9 rocks. Chamber is a bit tight, so I have to plunk test every round, even after sizing with a U die.
  12. Military is trained to kill. They implied USPSA shooters are trained to murder. Whole different implication. For a devil's advocate point of view, say you are involved in a shooting that might be iffy, will your match video and classification be used against you? I know this is a POS who happened to shoot USPSA, but until he murdered that guy and tried to cover it up, he was Dinh the D class shooter from Seatlle. I don't post my match video, but I have a ton saved on devices. Beginning to second guess that.
  13. Watch 48Hrs. tonight. I found his match video & story after Googling "USPSA road rage shooting" or something similar.
  14. I misheard the time frame. This happened a couple years ago. He was found guilty & sentenced to 29 years.
  15. Just saw a preview for tomorrow's 48 Hrs. Story is about a road rage or maybe thrill killing in Seattle last summer. Suspect in custody is a USPSA shooter who had posted his match videos on the net. He appeared to be probably a C or D class shooter by his videos. The prosecutor made him out to be a trained killer. Guy was a genius engineer that went to college when he was 12. Does anyone know if this is the first time a USPSA shooter has had their cometitor status used to prosecute them for murder?
  16. And the original purpose of this thread shows a lead developing. As if that would matter to anyone.
  17. I agree we're talking in circles in 2 different threads. When DNROI comes out with something next month, the real howling will begin.
  18. So only certain people are allowed to voice their opinion here, those that agree with you? Last I saw the poll was 50/50.
  19. I built a 5.1# rifle 2 years ago with a Voodoo 16" ultra light weight barrel & bcg. Felt great in the hands, but didn't want to settle down after the first shot. I always had the sensation of it moving when I looked through the glass. I swapped to a Nordic 18" barrel, & it feels just right now. Yours is crazy light for sure. I had around $900 in mine, minus the optics.
  20. Weak ammo? Ever heard of the most popular division in USPSA? A little thing called production, where factory 9mm is way over-powered? That has to be the most ludicrous argument yet.
  21. Since the DNORI is the one tasked with writing the rules for this, I assume he might know a thing or two about how this will work.
  22. For those interested in M1 Carbine in PCC, I was on Gunbroker and saw a Citadel M1 Carbine that takes Beretta 92/93 mags. I had the .22 version that ran OK.
