  1. As long as the rounds come out consistent you are good to go.
  2. That magazine tube is nice. Wonder who makes it and if it's convertible to other receivers.
  3. I just got my hands on the new black scorpion gear mag pouches that are going to be released at shot show. Playing with them with the walther magazines, once adjusted, feels perfect. Also am running their belt and hanger. The holster is a one off I had a buddy make for me last year
  4. As others have said. You can polish it butt he real fix is to drill your reloads until you are hitting them straight in.
  5. Check extractor tension with a super casing and with a SC casing. If there is enough on the SC just run some of that and see if just that fixes your issues. You never know if someone tuned the extractor for it.
  6. Move sooner. Feels like watching in slow motion. Rea the to the beep. Haul ass between positions. Drive that gun like you mean it. Once you are posted up and in position you are shooting solid. Getting in and out is what you need to work on. Hope this helps.
  7. For the most part it's just tuning the extractor. For the other questions it comes down to shooters choice. SC is easier to come by used but new brass is the same. SC give you easier feeding and sometimes and extra round in the magazine. Super is supposed to have nicer ejection. Feel wise they are identical. Honestly it depends on who the builder is. Most aren't touching super anymore unless you are in the central Florida area and go with a "doctor of guns"
  8. They have to offset the cost of the warranty somehow.
  9. Best option. Won't change the behavior or timing of the gun under recoil. But you should just do what we all do, clean the lens before every stage if you have too.
  10. The new fiocchi's are soft but I feel that the cup edge isn't as beveled as they used to be and I am getting much more sheared primer walls when the lip catches while seating. The old black boxes where fine the new red ones have this issue.
  11. Shot my first Area 4 match this year. Looking forward to 2018. Thanks to Mike and all the staff for the great match.
  12. I run S&b small rifle primers. They are hard though. To get them to pop reliably I needed a long firing pin and a 19 pound ISMI spring with my egw hammer. 223 they work just fine.
  13. Jake, I will thoroughly enjoy either outcome. It gets chilly in Frostproof come October. Lol.
  14. I think this layout is going to be similar to my classifier shooting style, Hero or zero. Either this is going to be the best nationals I've attended or the worst depending on how everything gets handled and planned for. Hopefully USPSA and Co pull this off well.
  15. There are a few hotels literally a 10 minute walk from the range. Definitely a match to go too.
  16. Why would you need to smooth out the backstrap if you are going to add Sicarbide on it? If it's just about the thickness have you considered stippling or jumping to the Gen4 platform?
  17. Pros: No capacity loss, different recoil impulse, cheaper guns, bigger holes. Cons: Ammo expense, no cross division reloading, bigger holes it goes both ways especially on no shoots.
  18. Beautiful blueing, all I would want on tol of this is shielded ambi safeties and a racker.
  19. All that's left is components. Good luck and happy loading.
  20. Once the weight is off you need to try out different recoil spring weights until you find one that works for you.
  21. Another option. Find a GSSF match around your area and take it to the armorer on site. They will replace most of the internals. Then send the slide off to one of the many people who mill for a dot and have them cerakote it at the same time. Boom, new-ish gun. Although I do recommend selling it and buying a new MOS one as well.
