  1. 9 grains of HS-6 under a 124 JHP PDelta chronoed at 173 this past weekend at A6
  2. Off in front of me doesn't come on util LAMR. Interesting note is Manny Bragg will engage it when he uses his muzzle to push through a blocked port, Found out the reason at last years Sunshine State Games, gun came out of battery on a fellow squad mates gun and the light recoil spring didn't rechamber the round.
  3. Even if they color coded them different manufacturers claim different weights on them. Best to get a spring tester so you know exactly what you are using.
  4. Bring double, always. Never know if a buddy might have forgotten some rounds as well.
  5. SVI makes their parts in house. Limcat assembles purchased parts. Both make a great gun though.
  6. Any double belt works. Mags also any of the big ones work as long as you have the dawson pads for use in their magwell. CMC, Tripp, Wilson. Holster, any kydex one is fine. Pouches, I prefer CRspeed ones with the inserts since they are the easiest I've found for mags on table stuffing.
  7. 11 in an edge and a 14.5 variable in an eagle. Both have a 17 mainspring.
  8. Run the numbers. How many trigger pulls per stage vs. how many mag changes. Trigger usually will give you more points per time than the magwell.
  9. Other flip side. You check the time then hold the timer in such a way he can see it while you are clearing the shooter.. We don't need another deucing scandal around these parts.
  10. I use 4.9 of the stuff loaded at 1.180 fir a PF of 170-175 depending on the chrono. Try bumping it up a little more and see if they get a little more consistent.
  11. Interesting to see how the sd and the es are consistent and so much better in the 5 inch gun than the 4. Do you think you would have the same result with a different 4 inch gun/barrel combo?
  12. Second on the enclosed bases. Less leading of the comp.
  13. What's better is the range is safe command.
  14. Wednesday afternoon Gary passed in a boating accident in the waters near his home in Key Largo. Many of you know him a the crazy old guy ROing at Universal for the past few years. Many more of you may know him as the chrono guy at big matches in New York in the early 90's. Either way, we are going to miss that crazy bastard. We all have great stories about him.
  15. If you haven't upgraded anything yet I suggest good sights, trigger, base pads, magwell. In that order.
  16. All are good suggestions but whichever you use just make sure it makes weight with the gun you have.
  17. Shooting Tupperware i do it, shooting metal guns i don't. All in how the guns sits naturally in my hands.
  18. Tampa has the WAC, a fantastic place to shoot and train. The guys over there are so helpful its not even funny.
  19. Buddy of mine runs one with Wilsons. Well actually he runs Wilsons in all of his 1911s.
  20. If you scrounge the classifieds you will probably find one for sale much cheaper than buying direct. Most of use end up with a box/drawer/bin full of old holsters pouches we upgraded from.
  21. For single stack the norm is a blade tech holster with whatever flavor pouches you prefer. I run CRspeed with the SS spacers in it. Others prefer the DAA racers so they can run bullets out. Fancy pants will run DAA racemasters but that gets expensive.
