  1. I bought the limited/open magwell from CGW but as stated I can't find it offered any more. You can still buy from SP direct here: https://shop.springerprecision.com/product.sc?productId=400&categoryId=99 You would have to get their magbreak as well. I prefer SP's style over the CZ-UB magwell that flares out the bottom of the grip and requires shorter grips to install.
  2. What did Cajun Gun Works customer service say? They have seen it all and will tell you whats up.

    Shadow 2 Safeties

Doh sorry! I saw add to cart.
  4. I use the hornady 9mm bullet feeding system. I've cracked three of the collets. On my last call to customer service I was informed my issue was brass and expansion related. I was told I need to expand the brass way more than you would think, .384 at a minimum. If you aren't that wide the mouth of the case will go too far into the collet and eventually crack the collet. I use xtreme plated and I've stopped breaking collets and get about 97-99% of the bullets to drop. I still have to "loosen" a bullet or two with a push from the bottom with a tool. Reading these replies i might have to switch to MBF if I get another major issue.

    Shadow 2 Safeties

Ben Stoeger shop has the CZ Shadow 2 Extended Ambi Safeties set in stock for $50 http://benstoegerproshop.com/cz-shadow-2-extended-ambi-safeties/
  6. I recently switched from LOK palm swells to LOK S2 palm swells on my shadow 1 frame. The top portion on originals flared too far and messed with my weak hand grip and occasionally my trigger finger would drag. I took a file to them and it helped. Once I saw the S2s i gave them a shot and have been satisfied. I took some pics. As you can see they don't come up as high as the non-S2 version. LOK did offer to exchange grips but couldn't accept them since I modified them. They gave me a very nice discount to but a new set.
  7. Hey Joe! It's been a long time. After some time off I've been getting back into it. I shot Greyson's plates on Wednesdays a few times and I hear some of the guys are getting BPT back up on every other Monday nights opposite of IDPA. I haven't made that one yet because of work but my schedule might change soon. Hope you are well. -Dan
  8. I used an EGW for a few years and just bought the shockbottle this month... why did I wait so long?
  9. Great thank you, I'll check them out. Always looking for local places to compete.
  10. Great advice from many above. I will be making some dummy rounds over the weekend using nickle cases and some pulled weird (to me) bullets. Thank you.
  11. Wow very cool! What range in CT was that? Do they still have matches?
  12. I've heard this as well. I think the Shadow2 is similar to the P01 frame as they both use the same slidestop different from the Shadow 1's. CZUB SLIDE STOP CZ SHADOW 2/D COMPACT link
  13. Best part of the straight SAO triggers are the pre-travel and over travel screws. The pre-travel can get rid of any take up you might have on a DA/SA setup. Try it out for 40 bucks. If you don't like it then you can change it back in 5 minutes and sell the SAO trigger. I would also suggest CGW's floating trigger pin if you start changing out triggers as the factory roll pin is trash after you remote it.
  14. I've been shooting with one eye since I started. I mess around in dry fire with two eyes every so often and I get disoriented. I said screw it and will just go with the one eye.
  15. All good answers above. Try it all! See what pratices work for you and makes you do it more often.
  16. The grip angle difference between the two platforms will take lot of practice to transition. I would hold off on buying a new gun and just shoot what you have.
  17. Do it all!. Time on the trigger can always be beneficial. After taking some time off I went back to plate night matches just to get used to firing under pressure.
  18. Greetings. The S2 can be cocked and locked. It has a ambi safety and CZ included an extended left hand side safety with the gun. It comes with very thin safeties installed. The S2 can be converted to SAO the same way any 75/85/SP-01 or shadow would be. Just remove the disconnector and install a straight SAO trigger. I like CGW's and CZC's triggers with the pre-travel and over-travel screw agjustments. If you do go that route I would suggest changing the hammer to a CZC comp hammer or CGW race hammer.
  19. Great, thank you. Thank you for update your own post. I was considering it. I guess you you can say the S2 prefers perky nipples. Yes, David from CGW says so here in this post: http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=86823.msg651850#msg651850 Check his entire thread "Critical Look at the Shadow 2": http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=86823.0

    Shadow 2 holsters

I picked up a new bladetech from Stoeger's site to throw on a boss hanger. Same setup I've used on my accushadow.
  21. I picked up my S2 two days ago. I didn't care for the creep in single action. I did a quick spring change to a CGW 11 lbs recoil and a 11.5 lbs hammer spring and it was 100% (I do use federal primers.) Last night I ordered CGW race hammer, sear, disco, bushing & extended firing pin. I will update after I do the work next week. rowdyb - Same polish job as a Shadow 1? Anything out of the ordinary?

    Max capacity 140mm

They are 18 round CZ factory tubes. I used the 4 in the first pic and did not switch them around. I have heard the mags can different from the factory. I use Bevin Grams' spring and followers. I could fit 23 in all four of the mags above in their current state. They seem reloadable in dry fire. I have not got a chance to use them in real fire.
  23. CZ85Combat, who did the work on those two? Edit: sorry just saw where you typed it.

    Max capacity 140mm

I took some pics. I have CZ factory 18 round tubes and just bought three TT pads and have a EGW gauge. I also have the CZC short pad for comparison. Gauge: CZC's: TT#1: (Fits) TT#2: (Doesn't fit) TT#3: (Doesn't fit by more than #2)
