  1. I bought a project CZ 75 pre-b transitional off gunbroker. It is still in transit. I know the front sight is missing but looking at the attached pic it appears the bushing is gone too. Has anyone installed a bushing in a pre-b transitional? I do already own a cz-75B High Polished Stainless so I was thinking of getting the CGW carbon steel 7580X in Hard Chrome for the B and using the factory part from the B in the pre-B. I am concerned the the polished stainless will look odd with the matte of the pre-b. Does anyone have a factory nickle bushing they want to sell me? Please PM. Once I receive the Gun i'll give David a call to see what if fit based on actual measurements.
  2. 85C thin trigger looks like the "new style" in that pic.
  3. I don't think there are any other sizes available.
  4. I just had a conversation with Beven at Grams last week about base pads and it changed my opinion. I was going to go with TTI pads because I thought they looked easiest to get off. Beven said one issue with the design is the way you slide off the pad it catches the spring which then over stretches during removal. He is getting reports of springs failing before their scheduled end of life and think the pads could be the issue. Beven recommends his own pads or Dawson's to avoid the spring stretch. He mentioned some shooters have drilled a hole in the bottom of the TTI pad to use a tool to depress the spring so the pad can slide off without stretching the spring.
  5. I would call them up, they are very friendly! They will tell you the current lead time. My accushadow came with an 85c thin trigger. It is the newer model with more curve. I believe I have seen them offered with the original 85C thick trigger. They will install what ever you want.
  6. http://monmouthreloading.com/ has some good deals on once fired brass. Check out 9mm in quantities of 5000 or 6000. They also give you the option to clean the brass.
  7. I think the Boss hanger with a bladetech shell is the best setup for Production. I was using a bladetech with DOH and I wasn't able to get my thumb in position until I was out of the holster. The Boss really allows me to get a solid grip right away.
  8. Another vote for the DAA racemaster. I have a few inserts for versatility.
  9. Thanks for the update Just4FunLP. I'm thinking that setup might be the best way to keep a 85C under weight in carry optics. Although I do like my grips on the thin side so I would shave the plastic down first.
  10. Good advice in this thread. Thank you. I will definitely try some new techniques out. I'm dealing with stress related with larger matches that require logging and longer travel. I put too much pressure on myself and overthink everything during travel and have issues sleeping in a unknown bed. This could be confirmation bias but I sometimes seem to shoot my best when I randomly get called to the line and start shooing before I can start thinking about it.
  11. The only advice I give to new shooters is use the gear you have for an extended period of time before spending money on replacement gear, custom gunsmithing or even buying a new gun.
  12. Thank you for the story and the great advice.
  13. Great shots Stuart. My mouth is watering... phrasing Any insider info on those tops ends being available by themselves?

Great video! Thank you. I'd love a TS upper for my non-shadow SP-01.

    CZ SP01 springs

In my Accu-Shadow I found a 11.5# hammer spring and a 11# recoil spring worked best for me. Both springs from CGW. I used to run a heavier recoil spring but my testing found better bill drill groups using a 11# spring. I recently tried CGW's 8.5# hammer spring but I got too many light strikes. I am using Federal primers but I think my issue is seating depth from my Hornady LNL. At this time, I will live the the .75 to 1.0 pound heavier double action pull from the 11.5# spring.
  16. I draw hammer down double action because I shoot production in USPSA and SSP in IDPA.
  17. If you are ordering a dawson front site to pair with the HAJO rear order the .215 height.

    Spare parts list

http://cajungunworks.com/spring_kits.html The TR-PIN is what I believe you are looking for.
  19. I have a few of these on the way. I am will test them out in my Accu-Shadow, SP-01 non shadow and my Rami then report back. I also got the rubber cz basepads to see if they will fit.
  20. Yeah, it sucks for both of us living in a restricted State. But having magazines that only hold 10 rounds has proven to reduce crime Haha yea.. Crime reduction and "safety." I was looking for more info and on http://www.mec-gar.com/ and it shows the 10rd .40 as a new product right on the home page. If you click the arrow on the right of that image it shows the 10rd 9mm as new.
  21. What are these? http://www.gregcotellc.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1496 http://www.mec-gar.com/Magazines/CZ/MGCZ7510/MGCZ7510B Damn, I didn't know they existed. Thanks for the link, doing more research now. I can't seem to find many sites selling part # MGCZ7510B. I'm guessing it is a relatively new item. I'm tempted to order some to test them out in my shadow.
  22. Hey there, The only 10 round CZ-75/Shadow magazines are factory OEM. Mec-Gar does not make them. Current market price is about $37 on Greg Cote LLC or CZ Custom. Link: http://www.gregcotellc.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=173&products_id=1427 The only aluminum base pads I know of are from CZ Custom for $38 bucks each. Link: http://czcustom.com/cz-aluminum-base_pad-10_round_standard.aspx You can see the OEM polymer basepads are larger than you would expect because the mag tube is chopped down. Cheers
  23. I'm glad it still feels good. I'm an STI noob so I can't speak to Brazos work.
  24. Thanks Youngeyes! Come on down to BPT. We do 2nd and 4th Tuesday nights. It is really fun and friendly with safety as the first priority. We try to get in 5 rounds of round robin then I break shooters into 3 classes and do double elimination. All I ask it to not shoot the plates with the Deagle. The steel thanks you. I wouldn't mind shooting it as some paper though.
