  1. And have to take the SO class again....no thank you! No I mean do nothing at all If you do nothing, you lose your SO certification and in order to get certified again, you need to retake the entire Safety Officer course again. I don't know about you, but I have better things to do than spend another 8 hours taking the Safety officer course again.

  4. Scored 93% The test had several trick questions as well as the same questions asked two different ways. I could see 100 questions for an initial exam, but for a recertification I thought 50 would be enough.
  5. Welcome to the forum! Wow, I'm surprised they even allow 3 gun matches in California ( just kidding)
  6. Welcome to the forum! It's members have a wealth of knowledge.
  7. I run 4.1 Titegroup with the same bullets in my G34. I agree with the others, I think 3.9 is not enough powder.
  8. Good point! At our club,we actually have a new shooter briefing and we actually have the new shooters demonstrate safe gun handling . New shooters are required to fire three shots under the direction of a SO. This way they hear the commands and the SO can verify their gun handling skills, its easier than pissing someone off and having to DQ a new shooter trying the sport for the first time.
  9. Blade tech makes a good holster and mag pouches. IDPA will let you shoot a match before joining, I recommend you try it before you go hog wild and buy all new equipment.
  10. I'm trying to get the OK from my wife to get my 9 year into shooting. Looking at starting her into the steel challenge with a 22
  11. I might try blue and see what is does for me. Again, my color blindness will determine what color I see the best.
  12. I had a piece of brass go down my shirt and lodge between my belt and my shorts. I burned like hell, but I finished the stage before pulling it out. I still have the mark! Don't stop!
  13. I prefer LP, but I know the number of people keeping SP 45 brass is growing. I sort all my brass by head stamp and I use to give away all 45 SP, but with the shortage I keep everything.
  14. +1. Except I use 124 Montana Gold FMJ or Berry's124 gr behind 4.1 Titegroup.
  15. My first press was a turret press that I still have. I made the mistake of going to a loadmaster, I then corrected it by getting a 650. I use the 650 primarily, but my turret press is there just in case. Some of the other posts refer to 200 rounds per hour. Yeah, I was tried going as last as I could and loaded 221 rounds in an hour. The turret press is not made for that speed. Its purpose is to make quality ammo at a slower pace. 100-125 rounds an hour is average for quality rounds.
  16. Titegroup is still my favorite powder.
  17. I strictly use the non DOH holster. I know my setup is different with IDPA & USPSA, but I use the same holster. I try to keep the position relatively close for both so its somewhat consistent on my draw.
  18. I heard the same thing. I think he controls the gun pretty well.
