In my G34 for production minor, I use the jager guide rod with a 14lb IMSI spring. I heard lighter springs may cause the gun not to go into battery.

Are you finishing the stroke completely? I've noticed that when I try to short stroke my 650, it sometimes doesn't feed the case all the way into station one. I can see how cases could be crushed.

Only one hit? All the Texas Star I shot have 5 plates on them. Am I missing something?

I downloaded and printed out the new rulebook and used that. You should be able to do the same from the IDPA website. I wish they'd remove the comments from the PDF and publish a final version. Not having a 2" margin on the right side out save some paper. Follow this LINK to the IDPA forum for a PDF copy with all the comments removed. Awesome! Its 14 pages less.

Because if you carry a RDS on a handgun for duty/defense it makes more sense to wanna shoot it in IDPA stages than in practical pistol stages. OK. That make sense to me!

I had the luxury to shoot with a GM at a match once, although he was shooting open and I was shooting production. I asked him if I could tape his run, he allowed me to and when I finished I took his video and put it side by side with mine on the computer. I learned so much by watching his run compared to mine. Shooting with better shooters will make you better as long as you have the fundamentals in place. Being fast and sloppy doesn't help your ability.

If you want to shot red dot, why not USPSA?

I use Lee dies exclusively in my 650. I like both the decapping/resizing die and the FCD. Never had any problems.

I've shot the 124 gr RN Berry's for years. EXCEPT I shoot Titegroup. I'll look in one of my load manuals for clays. When I first started, I emailed Berry's for load data. I think the guys name is Jay?? He will email you minimum and maximums for the powder you chose.
