  1. I just ordered my shirt from Gemini. I used the design your own web builder and it was easy. I had my first proof in about an hour. I had to send a layout to Glock before they would give me approval to use their logo. Dillon was very easy to deal with! They approved me in 10 seconds over the phone. Who doesn't want free advertising?
  2. Just bought the book. It looks really good!
  3. I don't care for it, but I don't say anything unless its unsafe. I usually cup my and try to have them roll it into my hand as I look down the empty barrel.
  4. If I can figure out how to post videos I have one from today's IDPA match. Raining, damp, etc.. My glasses fog up on the third target. I couldn't see the targets and I had to really focus on the front sight. My time was slower than I wanted , but the scores were very good.
  5. It will come with time. Just keep practicing. I had my aha moment last week when I saw the sights lift for the first time. Keep doing drills, it will eventually click.
  6. I use virtual dub. Its a free program that is very powerful. It allows you to resize, change the video aspects, and audio quality into manageable sizes for posting on various sites. I even just got codecs to work on mpeg4.
  7. Have you ever heard of the "The Wall drill"? www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7YdjrvB718 Sorry, one of these days I need to understand how to post videos. They never work for me. Here's a description from pistol training.com Wall Drill developed by George Harris, SIGARMS Academy Range: 0yd Target: blank wall Start position: any Rounds fired: 0 (dry fire) This is a dry-fire drill; all weapons must be completely unloaded and double-checked before the start of this drill. Shooter stands with muzzle at eye level less than one inch from a blank wall. There should be no aiming points (targets, holes, light switches, etc.) to distract the shooter. Shooter practices proper sight alignment, front sight focus, and trigger manipulation without the distraction of a target. Two-handed, strong-hand, and weak-hand shooting should be practiced. For TDA (traditional double action) pistols, both the double- and single-action trigger pulls should be practiced. The goal is to maintain focus on the front sight, pulling the trigger without upsetting sight alignment.
  8. Dies are like women, everyone got their preferences and some are better than others. Find something you like and stick with it.

    Glock Strikers

    Another vote for the glockworx.
  10. I think k you did the right thing. I would have done it the same way.
  11. I got the Dillon 650 with strong mount. I went to Home Depot and got the bench plans from Simpson Strong Tie. The bench was easy to make and its very sturdy. I plan on bolting it to the floor, but I haven't had to yet. The bench is sturdy and doesn't move.
  12. As a safety officer, its my job to watch the shooter and particularly the gun. its the scorekeepers responsibility to watch for cover.
  13. I'm shooting SSP in the GA state match with a Glock 34. My backup will be a G17.
  14. what's the "dual class"? If you shoot a lower class gun "SSP" and you declare before you start the classifier that you also want your time to be used in "ESP" , you can get classified in both at the same time after October 1st. If you have a SSP legal .45 and shoot 165 PF you could do all three at one time, Yes! Exactly
  15. 124's are cheaper and easier to find.
  16. I like SSP, but I'm thinking about the new dual class classifier and going for both SSP & ESP.
  17. Steel is very safe to shoot at a minimum distance of 10 yards. Just need to be weary of double taps on falling poppers as it creates some extreme angles for the bullets. Plate racks are very safe to shoot.
  18. This is exactly what we do also. Nooks are ONLY scoring devices! We have a iPad as a master, once all the info is loaded to the iPad, we transfer to a PC without ant issues.
  19. That's for sure! All I can say is Ouch, that must have hurt!
