  1. I would tend to agree that your scale is not the problem. Do you know anyone else with a chrono? Maybe you can setup both and compare numbers.I can't comment on clays. I've never used it
  2. Cool pics. He won't be that little for long.
  3. But you must admit that we don't have as many guys out practicing either. Its been pretty quiet on the action ranges (at least when I'm there).
  4. Do you have a calibration weight for your scale?
  5. I once pulled a mag out of my pocket to load and make ready when I noticed a piece of lint. I tried blowing it out, but blew it down to the third bullet. First two rounds go bang, then click. The lint had gotten into the slide by the extractor and somehow jammed the gun. What a nightmare to try and fix. Finally got the round in the chamber fired and stripped the gun to find a real mess inside. Glock couldn't believe that lint would render their guns useless.

I have the 34 and did almost the same mods with a ghost rocket kit. My barrel is stock, I've never heard of Anyone having issues. I think the RO had a stick up his a$$.
  7. Looks good! What about welding heavy springs to the back of the arms to hold the steel instead of the clamps?
  8. Hoppe's #9 (for as long as I can remember) and CLP
  9. It checks for both. It even noticed a problem that I didn't. Somehow my primer seating pin came loose and my primers were not being seated flush with the case, My powder check die noticed the height difference and the alarm sounded. I was initially hesitant to get it since I was taught to look into every case. I'm glad I did!!! It definitely is a worthwhile investment.
  10. Had one on order. Found a place in Miami that just got a big shipment of them in, drove the two hours and picked up a brand new xl650 with casefeeder and powder check alarm. Put my old Loadmaster on Ebay. Good Riddens!
  11. I was thinking the same thing.
  12. Do you normally load small pistol primer for 45? Most people don't load small pistol primer for 45. I keep it separate and load only large pistol primers in 45.

    Two Eyes Open

That's what I do. If you look at Brian Enos on the cover of his book, he does the same thing.
  14. I shoot production with my G34. 17 round mags only loaded to 10 +1 in the pipe.
  15. As far as I know the tubes don't change. The length of mine was roughly 13 1/4" OD was roughly 5/8" and the ID was slightly larger than 1/2" These are rough estimates, It's getting harder to see the numbers on the tape measure as I get older.
  16. never reloaded it, but I haven't heard of anyone having issues with it If you have AMERC brass, throw it away!!
  17. My G34 likes 124RN with Titegroup. Glock barrel though. my pet load is 124RN with 4.1gr Titegroup set to a OAL of 1.150 with matched head stamped brass (I sort all of my brass by head stamp)
  18. The only issue with the 1050 is the warranty. Commercial machines don't have the same no BS warranty as the 650/550. But by all means, if money is no object buy the 1050.
  19. Walked out on the WORST MOVIE EVER "Kung Pow" talked to the manager and ended up seeing a beautiful mind.
  20. Sorry! I misread you initial post. I don't think the bullets are tumbling, but I still think the crimp is too tight. What is your OAL? could the pressure be causing the plating to come off. I've never had any of my Berry's do that.
  21. I loaded Berry's bullets exclusively for the last two years. I load 124gr RN with 4.1 Titegroup I agree with dapribek. The bullet is tumbling. how much crimp are you using on the bullet? What type of reloader are you using? what type of dies?
  22. The turret press has an entirely different feel. When I loaded 9mm on it, it was smooth, when I loaded 45 on it, it was a bit rough. The Dillon is super smooth. I have the Lee Decapping/resizing die in station 1, the Bullet seating die in station 4 and the factory crimp die in station 5. smooth as silk
