Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Turns out it was Luke I was talking to in both the forums and via email (responded to info@aimtechsystems.com). I'll try again at that "info" address and see if I can talk to someone else. Thanks.
  2. The aimtech guys, both Luke and a gentleman I was emailing, stopped responding to my replies when I tried to get technical information and costs to setup an order. Not sure why. I've been busy, but have been meaning to try them again to get an order going.
  3. For those inquiring via PM for the red and IR laser blow back gun I'm working on, I'm afraid I haven't been working on it lately. 50 - 60 hour work weeks have put a damper on my ability to line up enough time to really work on it. I'll update with a video of some of the prototypes and details when I have more time, maybe just publish it as a DIY project. -EB
  4. Nice Vogel was one of the first "super squad" guys to come here to KC, so I jumped on it.
  5. Good to hear. I've haven't been applying the time to my project as much I had planned either, but working with Bob Vogel this past weekend I came up with some other ideas that have possibly changed my designs, or at least added some alternatives.
  6. Have you been able to test by chance with IR lasers? Something in the 900-1050nm wavelength? I've seen these show up on cameras, so I don't think the cameras we're talking about would have any problem. The idea being to prevent the shooter from looking for the dot, and just use the sights and see the hits. Seeing the dot is good for watching your trigger control and follow-through, but not so great in making you work the sights and target properly.
  7. I am already working on the GBBG (Gas Blowback Gun) conversion, but I was going to begin writing, or enhancing open source software to support my idea. Your iPad app is doing what i had planned for my first step. You can get GBBG's for as little as $70, and higer quality ones for around $150. These operate almost identically to the real thing. http://www.airsplat.com/Items/GP-ASG-CZ-17397.htm VFC / Stark / Cybergun makes some of the better ones. http://stark-arms.com/ You can use a sound detecting laser, as laserlyte has done, but I'm working on what I feel is a better solution using a vibration switch. As I get some of the prototypes done, I'll report back.
  8. Will do ! Been SLOW going since the holidays. Version 1 is pretty much ready to go - except - trying to be as usable as possible in any light, not just low light. It's a little bit of a fight with what they give (and don't give you) to play with on the camera in terms of contrast control and locking things down. I just might have to release with caveat that first version better in medium to low light. Well I'm glad I found this. Was getting ready to duplicate the work! What I am working on is a very cost effective way to modify gas blowback airsoft pistols to work similar to the LaserLyte training guns, but with your choice of gun, and more realism.
  9. Some run heavier springs for hotter loads. +P and +P+ loads will be better soaked up (wear, not necessarily recoil) with a heavier spring. I'm not sure what advantage that would be with range loads.
  10. I got 3 new front sight posts in the mail last week. Not just the FO insert but a whole front sight. And it looks like you already have the sizes so looks like we're good.
  11. Cool! After my post I emailed them (not sure why I didn't try that before) asking for the OD. If it's different that what you came up with I'll post back, but I'm sure that number is good. Thanks.
  12. No, I sure didn't. I was in a bit of a pinch for time so I just bought one of these. http://www.championtarget.com/shooting_gear/easyhit.aspx If you come up with the diameter I'd still like to buy some. -EB
  13. Thanks for the offer. I shoot a lot and tend to break these quite often. If I could get the actual diameter I can buy a couple feet of it for a few bucks and be set for life.
  14. Lost the fiber from the front sight of my JM Pro 930. Anyone know which diameter I need to order? The ones I buy for my M&P are much narrower. http://www.fiberopticproducts.com/Archery.htm
  15. Make sure your piston and gas ports are clean. If the piston doesn't rattle, it's time to take it apart and clean it up.
