  1. My SM moves very little if at all. My bench is very sturdy and it doesn't allow the SM to move. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  2. I useTitegroup for 45acp and 9 mm. My 45acp load is 5.2gr TG behind a Berry's 185gr HBRN.
  3. No, but its 4:30am (daughter's sick) and I'm lying in bed reading the posts.
  4. I've been reloading for years, but just recently got a 650xl (the 650 is awesome). Bayou bullets or Berry's bullets are priced reasonably. Montana gold are good also, but will cost you more money. If you're shooting 250 rounds a week, then you definitely need to reload. Look online for a reloading calculator! It will breakdown components and it will tell you how long it takes to pay for the press with reloaded bullets. If you can't find a good reloading calculator, PM me and I'll send you the one I use. I'm sure several people will chime in on their favorite load, but you will need to experiment with powders and bullets to determine what's best for your intended purpose. For example, I use 124 Montana gold or Berry's 124 gr RN with 4.0gr of Titegroup at 1.150 in both USPSA and IDPA. Good luck!
  5. Knowing my index point and margin of error on targets at certain distances would define how I shot that stage. As others have said earlier, you wouldn't win the match on that stage, but you sure could lose it. FWIW I would probably shoot all heads except the center target which looks like a burner depending on distance.
  6. For an experienced reloader Titegroup is awesome. For a new reloader W231 is a good starting point. If you use a Dillon 650 the powder check die is worth its weight in gold.
  7. Ken,It must be nice. You going to get a stock 2 like Ben had ?
  8. i currently use Lee dies in my 650
  9. Pet store zilla sand with nu finish. Brass looks good and the media holds up well.
  10. The G30 is my carry gun and I'll take a reliable Glock over a 1911 anyway. It goes bang every time!
  11. I found the most accurate load for me was 1.150 with 4.1gr of Titegroup.
  12. That was interesting! Its always fun to watch open guys shoot IDPA.
  13. OUCH!! 60 points! That will kill your score quick
  14. I'm cross eye dominant. Let me start my rant. Hopefully it helps I measured the distance from my eye to the front sight ( 29 inches). I went to the eye doctor and told her I wanted my eyes checked for that specific distance. I was fitted for Leader glasses setup with my dominant eye for 29 inches and my non dominant eye set for distance. Here's the twist! Being left handed and right eye dominant, I made some inquiries about eye dominance and Brian Enos told me he tapes his non dominant eye. So now I have prescription shooting glasses where I tape my dominant eye set for 29 inches and my left eye is clear set for distance. I probably just confused everyone more. If I did I'm sorry.
  15. I agree with Henry!Make sure you are fully moving the handle in both directions especially back. On my 650, I have to make sure I'm finishing the upstroke to ensure my cases index properly.
  16. +1 on the Lee dies. I use all Lee dies in my 650.
  17. never shot 147gr, but I do shoot the 124gr with TG.
  18. Wow! you guys are totally out of control! I was recommending he shoot open with an optic or red dot. you guys need to chill out!
  19. Cases look good enough. You're not out there to win a shiny brass contest.
