  1. Hey, I wonder who took those pics?
  2. For me it's 50% function and 50% esthetics. I do prefer the larger basepad for grabbing the mags and seating them, but not sure you guys can even have them in USPSA?
  3. I opted for the full kit, which includes gunsmith fit bits plus others.
  4. cardboard is there to hold the vacuum hose adapter in place. I use a 223 case jammed between the trimmer and the adapter.
  5. overtravel screw on the trigger needs adjusting
  6. I'm waiting for my Revo to show up, but I'm very impressed with the new Evos. But for both I wish they had incorporated a debris checker in the first station.
  7. it is a shame they can't sort out the Arcore issue with the frames, it's 100% cosmetic and not performance related. I'm going to go cuddle my two consecutively numbered Arcore guns now
  8. I can't recommend the Chapman Toolkit highly enough, if you get their big kit taking out the screws in CZs is easy.
  9. This is a known issue with the MecGar mags, the mag catch can be over pressed, into the frame and bind the mags, as they are slightly larger than the older CZ mags. That is one reason the Shadow 2 mag catch has a different design where the spring sits. The spring tweak to the mag catch spring fixes the problem.
  10. to mount to peg board there are a couple solutions, put a couple screws through the front of each shell plate spot, so that the plates can insert, but not fall through. Or for a nice finish, just attach a bottom to it and mount that to the peg board.
  11. uggg, ignore my last reply, that was putting a Shadow mag release in a Shadow 2, I was half asleep when I started talking about the spring tweak
  12. Production legal in IPSC not sure on USPSA but it is considered a factory part. One big difference internally is the shadow mag release does not have the metal rib between the legs of the spring, so you'll probably want to do the spring leg adjustment trick so that you can't over press the mag release and bind up mags from dropping.
  13. they are having enough problems meeting order numbers with the 2 and the P10C
  14. I just used a 3/8th thick plate under the press to achieve the same thing
  15. with the extra pieces I put in behind the wrapped tie it's a PITA to put back as you have to fiddle with those pieces to get them back in. But your solution is great if you don't want to remove cases
  16. I wrap the zip tie around each station with a second piece of zip tie in pinched in against the frame so that it's even tighter between the shellplate and zip tie. I tried doing it like you show in the pic, but I like being able to remove cases at the seating station.
  17. no sizing die other than the trim die body, am I understanding that right?
  18. I did a search, that's how I ended up here actually. How is it hijacking? Necroposting sure, but hijacking?

    Whose CZ open gun?

me too man, I'd run it DA/SA just because I hate safeties and can't use em worth a crap with my big hands and super high grip
  20. anyone got any pictures and tips on setting up a processing toolhead on the 1050 for 223. I have an RL with a RT1200 on it that I am setting up right now. The previous owner could not get it working right and I've only ever loaded pistol ammo on my 1050s so this all new voodoo to me. Currently I've set it up with a Universal decap die in station 2, swage/expander in 3 (I'd much rather have a swage hold down only, no expander), then I intend to put a sizing/decap die, backed off so I don't break the decapping pins in station 5, trimmer on 6, and then done. Does that sound reasonable? I've got a Dillon Carbide sizer, and actually some broken tips I could put on it to hold the expander ball in place. I'm not wanting to run the decap/sizer in station 2 as I'm paranoid about breaking tips, with the universal if that happens they are cheaper to replace. So, am I way off base with this plan?
  21. you should have ordered the 220V ones, contact Mk VII immediately.

    Whose CZ open gun?

It is a full on Shadow 2 made for Open with 9mm major. Robin Sebo from the factory made it
  23. my brass washed the other day. the flash kind of ruins how shiny the are, but even factory new brass isn't this shiny.
