  1. Rcbs is 0.068, Redding which gives me the most joy, is 0.060
  2. yup, although I don't run the extended FP, never found them to be necessary. I run Russian primers in my practice ammo, and very seldom have an issue, given that I have had the same issue with heavier sprung guns I don't blame the gun, the primers are only good for practice. With CCI, Federal, the new S&B, I have zero issues, ever, even using an 8.5lb spring in my Steel Challenge gun
  3. one other spring I highly recommend changing is the firing pin spring, Robin Sebo sells the super super light ones that CZ put in the Canadian Shadowmates that we were getting for a few years from CZUB. No one else has those springs, not CZC not CGW. Robin doesn't even list them on his site, you have to message him and ask for them, but they are much lighter than the Rami ones everyone else sells. That make a huge difference with hard primers.
  4. no joy with your idea Pete. So far the fixed pin in my Redding Universal decapping die is do less pullbacks than the other dies I've got.
  5. ah, and that means I'm sizing in station 2, which I don't want to do, I just want to decap. Need a spring loaded universal decapping die. something that took the DIllon rod would be great. Maybe I'll see if I can pull out the sizing insert in one of my dies, or machine one out.
  6. the lyman pin is the same as the RCBS pin, so I will try that shortly. Or at least, very close to the headed RCBS pin
  7. I've got about 50 different tips I've played with, sharp, round, square, tapered, anvil shaped etc, none of them work reliably. All pulled primers back in, in amounts that annoyed the crap out of me.
  8. Reviving this necropost Still nothing on the market as far as I can tell. I've got a few tubs of 9mm that are just ruining my life right now. All crimped primer pockets, and even the spring loaded Dillon setup is giving me no joy. Primers are sticking to the decapping pin in large numbers. Thankfully the Mark VII stops, and I just jog down to get it knock it out, but man. I'd do just about anything for a universal die that was powered in some way to knock the primer off the tip of the pin.
  9. not unusual, you can try a new mag catch spring too, as some of them are kinda weak
  10. various 147gr bullets I've used over the years and because it's a nice simple measurement to test at. I do find the guns prefer 1.1ish though
  11. I have lost track of how many 147gr bullets I've put through my 9 Shadows and Shadow 2s over the last 15 years, but it's a lot and they, just like the 124s and 115s are all loaded to 1.11ish, I've loaded plenty to 1.000" too. CZs have shorter chambers than some other guns, simply load for that and you're golden.
  12. why would someone swap it out?
  13. Auto forwarding is a matter of physics
  14. how many rounds in the mag when autoforwarding? How many rounds do the mag hold? I found that if the mags aren't fully loaded this can happen. The stack of bullets depress the follower when the mag is slammed in and the slide drops forward skipping over the rounds. I use a magblock so that the mags are simulated to be fully loaded when loaded or with only 10 or 15 rounds (in 19 or 17 round mags)

    Shadow 2 Legal Date

which Sig, the regular 320 or the X5?

    Shadow 2 Legal Date

Did you ask him how a gun like the 320 got approved with, I think, zero sales?
  18. slavex

    Shadow 2 Legal Date

so, okay, the Shadow, which is for sale in the USA and has been for awhile now, isn't approved, but guns that aren't available in the US get approved??? I'm so confused.
  19. exactly what I meant in my short reply above. Luckily with the Shadow 2 you don't need to worry about it.
  20. Fix the mag catch spring so that you can't over press the mag catch. This is a known and common problem.
  21. sorry, edited the reply about mag blocks, address is http://www.magazineblocks.com. look under pistols and CZ 75. No they are not legal to restrict mags in Canada unless glued in place.
