  1. Ck with Taccom3gun he may be able to help you.
  2. yes you can or spray the cases with one shot let some get into the mouth of the cases , let this flash off , give it time 30 minutes at least.
  3. That's why I said set them a side the measurements will be off. still shoot able just don't use for set up etc.
  4. Adding on powder spilling slow down .Every one that i Have given reloading lesson to wont,s to operate the press to fast and just not very smoothly. Smooth operation makes powder drop more constant also.
  5. Don't have a Hornady LNL press so my answers will be some what generic .#2 powder drop issue powder has to settle in measure, drop should be set at an average .Cycle the machine like you are loading. Pull 5 to 10 cases. Dump the first 5 back in measure.Weigh the next 5 to 10.What is the average. That's you weight. #3 and #4 Remove the DAA powder ck .See if your "spill" problems goes away.At the least it will be less. It only checks for no powder or double charge regardless of what everyone says.#5 All stations must be full to make adjustments.Sizing die needs to touch shell plate.Your already using single head stamp brass that helps. Again pull the first few set aside then measure the next few cases .That's your OAL. The last few are set aside also. The first and last will measure different than your full average. As you use your press you will find how to adjust using fewer cases that you set aside.(they are practice loads)
  6. Load both to the same power factor (not powder charge) . And as stated above run some drills.
  7. Upper right hand side of you screen that block that says search will reveal just the first 3
  8. Just one of the discussions that lead to wet cleaning brass leaving primers in being an issue. You must dry the cases fully after wet cleaning or remove the primers first. Search for strange squibs.
  9. Don't know how you would do this with a battery powered scale. But my PACT has not been turned off in years. Calibrate at start of session have to tare every hour or so. certain cell phones have a effect .Causes the tare message to come up.Lights have no effect . My scale is in a cabinet up off the loading bench away from the vibration of operating the press. Don't leave the pan on the scale.unless you are weighing something. This will cause the scale to drift(it's trying to weigh some thing) theirs nothing to weigh scale it will pick up some vibration - Truck driving by , your AC unit, Washing machine,Walking across floor, Cat jumping off cabinet, etc
  10. If your looking for small groups yes ammo loaded in the 135/140 power factor range is wear you need to be. Now in uspsa, idpa, steel challenge most shots are well under 25 yards. So most load to a recoil feel. As you have experienced lighter loads are good enough.
  11. A mechanical/electrical device that is not used on a regular base. Is more likely to fail.Than one that is used constantly. Example a car/truck/peace of equipment that sets . seals dry out ,cylinders stick, fuel deteriorates etc.Low hours/miles it failed or has to be repaired before use. one that is used on a regular base just works. Yes they brake down but not every time its used. electric motors are the same. brushes stick .armatures stick etc. The old saying "use it or loose it" applies. Now a question if you had used it every week for one hour would you be complaining?
  12. Never felt the need to add weight to a Glock. I know several M and GM shooters that use stock 34's and 35's. With no issues related to weight.
  13. Change to a Redding Competition or Hornady seating die. This will fix your issue.
  14. Have loaded plain lead and coated bullets in gen 1 through 4 with no issues. as long as they are properly sized (.001-.002)oversized. 40/10mm .401. 45 acp .452 Usually in 9mm that's .356 . Have one gen 3 19 that requires .358 to not lead. Have one gen 5 that i swear leads with FMJ.
  15. i have different adjustments for coated , plated , jacked .
  16. Switch to a different powder.
  17. stop remove case then depending on whos sizing die replace decapping pin.
  18. wear i am at no one wants gen 5 and still prefer gen3
  19. both pistols you list have issues with 147s XDM has a short through requiring short over all length.not the best combination with 147s bullet selection can be tough.it can be done. The sig has a reputation of just not being accurate with 147s but if you load in the 140 power factor range it can be done. one load for both ? I don't blame you for not wanting to use Tightcrap.
  20. have 4 turn on at start of day off at end of day. three matches plus several practice sessions a month. 5 years have never replaced a battery
  21. PD147 fmj 3.8 sport pistol 1.177 oal for 2011 guns OAL is the key to accurate 147s
  22. until you get into the 1.175+ range or separate certain head stamps out your bulge will continue. now you may not be able to load that long. The length given is for a 2011.I load this bullet for a few guys. The length given is what it takes for mixed range brass. CBC for example will still fail a case gauge but work in there guns.As 4n2to has said at some point it may be best for you to not use this bullet.
  23. go read the post again 45 acp Bulls eye shooters use Kart 1:16 9MM Bullseye shooters use KKM 1:32 Don't know were you got 45acp 1:32 or 115/125 45 cal bullets. This all started because OTTO thought 1;16 would shoot heaver bullets better than 1:10 1:16 was Kart and(Barsto)a few others stab at making 115/125 9mm bullets more accurate. This is a 9mm thread. I answered the question that was asked about what barrels Bullseye shooters use. Any thing else? Dam I need another cup of coffee.
  24. been through this the 650/750 is not the up grade from 550 most people think. a 550 and a 1050/1100 is the way to go IMO. seeing more and more crimped primers every day . There are two Dillon presses I don't like SDB (have had two)and 650 (operation effort, broken parts, overly complex)
  25. 1;32 is for 115/125 gr bullets only and KKM is the preferred manufacture
