I have not had the issue you experienced. Noticed the spring has one end with the coils wound flat and the other end was angled upwards. I installed the angled end up so it puts upward pressure on the front of the follower. The TF follower doesn’t hang up on the 10 rd extension like the metalfollower. BTW, I am using the Brownell’s branded mag with the marlube coating.

The match is NOT full.

8.2.4.1 says something about cof must never require a PCC start to be held on the weak side. Sounds like the course designer is trying to work around the rules. I would say it’s not a legal start position.

I was told about this timer at our last match. It looked good and I just pre-ordered one today. Always wanted a smaller timer than the Pocket Pro

I don’t think the follower makes a difference when inserting loaded mags. Downloaded mags seem the way to go as well as keeping loaded rounds clear of the mag catch slot on the mag. I ordered a couple of the Taylor Freelance follower with spring to try out because sometimes the metal follower hangs up on the TF extension.

How do you clean the inside of the mag if you drop it?

One of the guys I shoot with used to shoot coated bullets in his PCC but gave up on them and now shoots jacketed in PCC. Another guy is shooting Blue Bullets in his Open gun and works well for him and you can’t tell he is shooting coated since there’s little smoke (shooting major pf tho). Try the blue ones. Their coating feels way different than the other brands.

Looks like the old SV tube. Swap out the base pad. Find friends with different base pads and borrow to see which one will fit.

Only now I’m noticing the mag catch slot is rounded at the ends.

FYI, I got the gen2 STI 170 tube and like the video recommended I got the TTI 4g base pad. That combination didn’t fit the gauge. I had to get the 3g base pad and all is well. If you know someone with the base pads, ask them to see what will work on your tubes.

I got the gen 2 STI 170 tube and TTI 4G pad as recommended. However, the gen 2 STI tube I received must have been a little long since with the 4G pad it doesn’t fit the gauge even trying to push it down. Had to get the 3G pad and now it fits with a little bending of the tabs the pad fits on.

Last year Quarter Circle 10 had Black Friday deals. That’s where I got my upper and lower receiver set.

Since it sticks out, I believe that fits the definition of an altered profile. Trimming that end flush would, in my opinion, match the profile of the grip.

You might also have to trim the part that extends below the back strap too. That should make the plug match the profile of the grip.

Well, I started swabbing the chambers of the comp with Kroil before and after shooting a match. It’s been helping to blow out the carbon buildup from the chambers. This tip came from a fellow shooter who shoots coated bullets in his open gun on a regular basis. Before using Kroil, I was using Clean Fire but the results weren’t showing so I stopped using it until the Kroil tip. Still have to scrape off some buildup though it’s easier.

Had some mags that did the same thing. I filed down the area of the mag that was contacting the ramp and knocked off the high spots on the ramp. All good now, looks like a major problem but it’s not, just ugly.

I went from One Shot to Brass Juice and love it. The Brass Juice is alcohol based and dries fast and has a nice minty smell. Plus, it’s easier for me to get that as it is not a pressurized aerosol, through the mail.
