Back from the dead. Had to deal with some personal stuff, burnout, moving to a different city, and my new position as a behavior specialist for a school district. I'm trying to learn ASL so that I can communicate with some of my clients without an interpreter, but my signing is so bad that I usually end up speaking gibberish.

I rediscovered my excitement for shooting by having it out of my life for the past months. Had dreams about shooting matches and woke up disappointed at the same time that I wasn't actually on the range. I missed the interaction from the people here on the forums, and and seeing those friends from thousands of miles away at majors and shooting the shit just like it had only been days since we last spoke.

And so I'm back where I started. After getting my 17 and 34 hard chromed, they have sat in my safe until today. I've got the winter to knock the rust off of my skill sets, and the entire 2012 season to look forward to.

Catch ya on the range :)

(now I've gotta set up my press!)

Thanks guys :)

Kevin, I moved over to the Enon side of Fairborn. Commuting to Springfield every day from my old town house was a bit of a pain. I certainly plan on attending most of the monthly club matches in 2012.

A/C I had to remove the sights before having the Glocks hard chromed. The goofy thing was that when I went to reinstall the rear sights in both guns, they wouldn't fit properly (too loose). I purchased a new Heinie/Dawson set for the G34, but have not gotten around to buying sights for the G17.

Hey man, I hear ya, I mostly took 2011 off. just one club a month and only one major, and ZERO live fire practice. It's been somewhat of a hole in my life but my excitement and desire to get back onto the range is at n all time high... Unfortunately I don't think 2012 is going to be any better....

Get at it dude. Looking forward to seeing ya on the range, perhaps at the IN match.

Oh.... And I'm shooting a glock now thanks in part to you letting me try out your production gun...

I completely get that! I had to get an extra Masters to do what I do, but it was worth it. Gotta make the money before you can pour it into shooting ;)

That, or marry a sugar mama (or daddy if you're a gal, no sexism here). I'm still working on the sugar mama part.

Giving up on the sugar daddy? Leave a bad taste in your mouth?

I miss those matches too but had to finish up my professional career. Hope to be back in 2013.

Awesome. This feels like a Blues Brothers movie. (We are getting the band back together!)

Good line! Welcome back Micah, missed hearing about your dryfire dojo and things you learn when shooting/practicing.

That hard chrome is sexy!
