KY1911
Hey Mik - I've got it just barely off the shoulder in the correct spot. Like I said, it runs - just perplexing.

TonytheTiger
Thinking about going with the Wilson Combat adjustable GB when I get around to parts buying. Anyone played with one?
RANGER3BN
I have an older SLR DA7. No issues running cheap 55 and up to 77 SMK's. Great customer service as well.
Bentsight
Had a Gen I Syrac, great performer till it locked up. I made multiple attempts (more than 5X) to contact them via phone and email and never received any reply at all. First thought was to pitch it in the trash and chalk it up to experience, instead it still sets on my bench as a reminder of how poor customer service can be. dcloudy777
I just installed a SLR Sentry 7 yesterday on my new Voodoo 16.5" ultralightweight rifle-length gas barrel. Hopefully I'll get to the range to test everything next week.
bwikel
I am running a syrac gen2 clamp on style. So far it has worked well and not locked up but I do click it both ways after every shooting session of 100+ rounds.
cd0306
I'm having a lot of luck with the Seekins Precision gas blocks...Good stuff.
GreenDragon64
I'm having a lot of luck with the Seekins Precision gas blocks...Good stuff. I've put about 200 rounds through it in practice and I'm enjoying it. I haven't had any problems, but I haven't ran it hard other than some doubles and transitions. kujo929
I've used PRI on several rifles and they have been great.
hysupra
+1 on PRI I did lock tight mine though.
OscarMike
I have a Colt Competition, a Syrac Gen 2, a carbon arms, and a Samson. All 4 are great, and I'd rank them in the order I listed them.
surfmaster
Hey Guys, I'm interested in the SLR Sentry 7 clamp-on gas block, .750". Which one did you get? The regular steel melonite or the stainless steel version? Weight at SRL's website states both are 1.3 ounces. I'm looking for a gas block for a lightweight rifle build. Regular Steel http://slrrifleworks.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=57&product_id=123 Stainless Steel http://slrrifleworks.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=57&product_id=385 Thanks in advance. v1911
It's a personal preference. Since my barrel, comp and CF HG are black, I went with the melonite finish.
BOOM
Looking for one that's side adjustable, won't lock up due to carbon build up, or is easy to clean. Seekins regular steel any good ?
tavman
I run both the Colt Competition and the Srac Gen II.
BOOM
Reading all this I'd like to buy one, but Looking for a low maintenance easiest to clean adjustable gas block. Calling JP, The carbon will build up on adjustable gas block screw it (needs to be cleaned). It seems that allot of the screws used to adjust the gas wind up locked in position with carbon. Is there one, and wouldn't adding a detent for positive click adjustment even be more maintenance
RANGER3BN
Just ordered a CTR-02 with a JP/Syrac Gen2 so I can run suppressed for yotes when not 3gunning. Hopefully Syrac has the bugs worked out but if not at least I know JP will stand by "their" product.
Lafitte
I'm running a Seekins adjustable and it fits just fine under my AP Customs carbon fiber 15" tube
GreenDragon64
I'm running a Seekins adjustable and it fits just fine under my AP Customs carbon fiber 15" tube Yup, that's what I've got goin right now. So far after a few hundred rounds it has not given me any problems. Recoil has been greatly reduced with a lightweight Voodoo bcg and empty buffer, next up is a SJC Titan
striped1
Is there a way to get the block that comes on the Colt Competition rifles? I saw a few of them at FNH last weekend, but I can't find one for sale without a rifle attached.... in stock at brownells for 149.99 http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/gas-system-parts/gas-blocks/ar15-m16-adjustable-gas-block-prod71253.aspx
T3mppu
Seems that SLR Sentry is pretty popular here and it is also the GB to be in my current build Has anyone installed the SLR Sentry 7 Clamp-On model under slim freefloat rails? Mine will be installed under the slim Leapers UTG Pro Keymod float (1.3" ID) and if I measured correctly, there is at least 1mm clearance.. Final verdict will be concluded after I can see how much (if any) the float bend, but I don't yet have the receivers to attach the barrel and float. For the interested: I have some hi-res pictures of the SLR Sentry 7 on our IPSC team site: http://special.squad.fi/slr-sentry7/
jobob
I ordered the Colt Competition adjustable from Brownells. I haven't decided on the handguard for this build, though. The Colt looks a bit large for fitting under a slim hg like the Troy, which I'm partial to. Anyone have any ideas in this regard?
MarkCO
If you want the Colt underneath, you are going to have to go with a standard tube ID.
jobob
Yeah, go ahead and rain on my parade! I can take it! Actually, I want to keep weight down, so I'm thinking of a carbon hg.
