Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Yes it is, I had to file some off from the screws (I recommend filing both ends) and just to be sure, took some from the bottom of the GasBlock. The float in question is Leapers UTG Keymod. Left: unmodified, center: screws filed, right: screws & block filed larger version: http://special.squad.fi/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/leapers_w_slr-clamp.jpg
  2. Here is my .22lr compensator after 500-1000 rounds of crap build-up: (the volcano like pile of lead) Larger picture: http://special.squad.fi/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/nea22_lead.jpg Usually this does not seem to affect the accuracy, but once a small part broke off during the shooting: click for larger: http://special.squad.fi/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/IMG_9425.jpg I use the compensator mainly to enhance the blast for IPSC timer to better be able to catch the shots.
  3. Did you solve the issue? Are you using Magpul BAD lever or some other modifications to your Bolt Catch ? JP states the following on their SCS spring kit: http://www.jprifles.com/buy.php?item=JPSCS-PACK15
  4. I would say that this is only half a truth. Sure the SLR might open too much per one click, but the amount of clicks is not the only thing that matters and before switching blocks, at least the following should be considered between the blocks: - thread climb (ie. how much the screw opens in one rev) - size of the adjustment hole on the block (same amount of screw movement might produce different opening in different blocks) As a crude fix, IntenseImage could also try to move the block just slightly backwards or forwards to mis-align the block, thus restricting the gas flow a little.
  5. Any success bypassing the automatic turn off feature? Has there been any development on disabling the automatic turn off feature? I tried to google, but couldn't find any solutions. Trying to decide between Swarovski z6i 1-6x24 and Leica Magnus 1-6.3x24 and the auto-off seems to be a deal breaker for IPSC usage. Did you read the toiminta-ampujat forum? I think one managed to turn the feature off by removing the battery while the power was on and that trick made the "auto cant power off" feature dissapear. I sure did. There was no finite method for this and above was achieved by just trying different stuff: press buttons, power on/off, remove battery, etc. (even possibly breaking the auto-off). I also asked leica support and they said that it can't be officially done. So I finally went with Swarovski as it was lighter, had the auto-off and the price difference was not significant.

  7. Seems that SLR Sentry is pretty popular here and it is also the GB to be in my current build Has anyone installed the SLR Sentry 7 Clamp-On model under slim freefloat rails? Mine will be installed under the slim Leapers UTG Pro Keymod float (1.3" ID) and if I measured correctly, there is at least 1mm clearance.. Final verdict will be concluded after I can see how much (if any) the float bend, but I don't yet have the receivers to attach the barrel and float. For the interested: I have some hi-res pictures of the SLR Sentry 7 on our IPSC team site: http://special.squad.fi/slr-sentry7/
