  1. I've been able to buy BBI consistently the entire past year and have them in hand within a week or ordering. I know RMR had bullets last week as well. PD seems to be releasing stock on Fridays from what I've heard from people talking about it on discord.
  2. I'm assuming they are running 24/7 to supply the demand. I did see some in stock notifications for Remington primers and ammo come across the screen a few days ago so I'm hoping they are back on line and starting to crank out stuff.
  3. I don't think the market is going to dry up completely, but I do see the possibility of the guys shooting 40 and reloading turning into the 38 super guys looking for every piece of brass.
  4. This, and a whole lot more hassle as well. When was the last time your average reloader bought a pallet of primers or powder (although I may attempt it in the future)? The consumer reloader is likely an afterthought which is why powder and primers are so hard to find. First supply your own ammo, then supply some of the smaller manufacturers, and then to the consumer. And honestly, there is nothing they can do to combat panic buying. They aren't going to invest a ton of money on machines that a few years from now will sit dormant until the next panic. As a reloader, remember this shortage and make sure you are prepared for the next one with a few years of supplies. People got complacent when times were good and supplies were plentiful and cheap.
  5. Any idea on what gen 2 upgrades/changes?
  6. I have called and emailed weekly for the past 2 months to try to order the new trimmer but can't get ahold of anyone there. I'm not in a huge rush, I just want to get on the wait list.
  7. I ordered some last fall and they took about a month to get. Now I just need my 48mos to get in.
  8. I think most guys just run hat cams and then have a couple others mounted on tripods
  9. Jentra has a gen 5 specific tungsten guide rod out now, NDZ has some.
  10. Still cheaper than gunbroker prices.....
  11. It just so happens my is 24" from ripping down a 4x8 sheet of plywood in half for a double layered top. Increments of 2 feet just work for some reason. I do have a 3 foot deep bench in my woodshop for working on large projects but things tend to just collect at the back so my effective size is only 2 feet deep. Deeper is not always better but I'd make it as long as you can.
  12. Are you trying to get as close to the wall as possible? My 1050 is about to be mounted on a bench 24" deep and there is plenty of room behind it.
  13. But what do they look like without the pushup cooler?
  14. I store my factory ammo in ammo cans and my match ammo in my magazines as I load the rounds the week of and load my mags at the same time. Extra ammo is brought is an old plastic mixed but container from costco.
  15. I'd say if you're starting with a stock gun you just got, it's an easy way to get a really good trigger. But I wouldnt replace something you already have and like with this. In my bone stock 34.5, it brings the pull down to right at 3 lbs.
  16. First thing google pulled up https://tarantacticalinnovations.com/guide-rod-adapter-for-glock-pistol-generations-4-and-5/ Jentra is supposed to be coming out with a guide rod for gen 5 shortly as well. I'm waiting for that to come out to pick one up for my 34.5. it's not his normal extended one for a 34 but it's slightly longer than the normal uncaptured ones since the gen 5 guide rod is longer.
  17. I have dawson on my glocks and XDm and like them. Easy on and off for cleaning and my mags get pretty dirty in 3 gun. I would consider the brass taylor extensions for the extra weight if wanted/needed.
  18. As hermes mentioned above, it can come off if not prepped well but you could likely always sand it off again. I'm going to demo some different grits I bought of a piece of wood as well as some old stock AR grips before putting it on my glock.
  19. Shortages caused the same thing for me, left RMR for BBI and haven't missed a beat. I order a case every other month just because at this point so it would be a long time before I go back to RMR.
  20. Which is why I'm waiting a bit before I likely buy one. I'm hoping by fall all the kinks are worked out so I can have it for next season.
  21. I've always thought we will eventually just have a rifle, dot and no dot divisions. Not saying I agree with it, just where I think we will be in 5-10 years.
  22. Nice, I got my supplies a month ago to do it to my 17.4, I just haven't had time yet.
  23. I have some factory mags with dawson extensions as well as the magpul 21s that I've been running since they came out. Dawson's only come out at matches and training but the magpuls are run hard in local league shoots and 3gun and I've never had an issue with them. They are probably my most used magazines as I got them super cheap.
  24. I'd take a look at the 3d printed world and see if there is anything there. I second the sirt, I have one and its probably your best option at this point. Or just 3d print a whole glock and use that but you likely won't be able to practice mag changes.
